Speak it, Steve Wagner. Meanwhile, from the accompanying article:
Sunday’s San Francisco march was in keeping with the city’s reputation. The air reeked of burning white sage and patchouli and, occasionally, marijuana. Two men in tight shorts and arm ruffles danced on stilts, accompanied by musicians playing accordions, clarinets, bongos and finger cymbals. At Civic Center, booths hawked literature, T-shirts and bumper stickers promoting the virtues of movements and philosophies that would be considered irregular or even scandalous in more conservative quarters.
Zombie was there snapping photos and caught the quote of the day on one guy’s sign. You’ll know it when you see it.
Update: Heart-ache.

My family can’t understand why I don’t want to move back to the Bay Area.
It’s bad enough I’m so close to Madison.

Dear Iraqi people…
As a proud Veteran of Desert Storm, I hereby sincerely appologize that we didn’t finish the job the first time.

I didnt know I was a palestinian until I saw zombie’s page. I have a sudden urge to kill a jew and send my child off to blow up a bus. And steal money from the UN, too. Being a palestinian is awesome.

I’ve said it before (though possibly not here) and I’ll say it again.
I. Hate. California.

One of the letters to show their ignorance. 1) We did not rush to war. 2) The war is not against the Iraqi people, but against Saddam Hussein and the jihadists. 3) The Iraqi’s have not asked the US to leave.
The recent poll shows that most Iraqis think that life is better now than it was under Saddam. Most Iraqis do not want the US to leave yet. I guess if you are a moonbat lib you believe what you want because reality seems to get in the way.

It’s going to be very interesting to see what the history books say about the Iraqi
liberationoccupation in 40 years or so.I just can’t get past the difference in what people said about Reagan in 1985 and what they say today, and shortly after he died. Reagan was the anti-Christ; he was going to end the world in a nuclear holocaust.
The liberals could not have gotten it more wrong. And today, some of the ones who made those very wrong statements are singing his praises.
So what will history show in 40 years?
If the liberals were wrong – will they admit it?
And the bonus question: what exactly will the IRAQI history books say about the end of Saddam’s reign?
I suspect I know. And I suspect liberals will never admit it.

And to think, on “24″ last night, Jack Bauer saved the city of SF from nuclear annihilation. Watching that episode I had mixed feelings on whether I wanted Jack to save their bacon; oops, Muslims can’t read this comment now or touch their keyboards.

NORTHERN California. Hate the NORTHERN part.
The Camp Pendleton down to San Doego part is mainly Republican, and completely supports our Troops and President.

I have the feeling zombie is a girl. (s)he posts a lot at little green footballs. The tone of posts (words and phrases used, etc) suggests female to me.

May I suggest you focus it to San Francisco, Berkeley (and possibly Davis) I live in Fairfield; next to Travis AFB, Monterey has fantabulous scuba dving spots and the aquairum, and San Diego.
Much Appreciated for your consideration :)

Finally got the link to work. A couple comments/questions:
* What are “pleople?”
* How come the hippies get all the topless protesters?
Oh – and you do realize that in real-life (as opposed to “24″) San Francisco is probably the safest city on Earth when it comes to terrorism.
Well, until the dhimmis take over. Then, well, not so much. But for now, terrorists ain’t ever hitting that place.

Jack Bauer like everyone else can not be right all the time.

These people do need to be forgiven but not by the Iraqi people. They need to be forgiven for their utter stupidity.

Bauer only saved that city so he can kill them all himself.

Yes, we’re sorry! We’re sorry for takin’ out the murderous dictator who tossed people feet first into a wood chipper and who raped your wife, your mother and your daughter in front of you before he killed you.
We’re sorry that our Hitlerian president took out the man who invaded Iran and Kuwait, and who killed hundreds of thousands of his own citizens with poison gas.
Dennis Miller: “Bush is Hitler! Cheney is Hitler! … Everybody’s Hitler except the muderous dictator in a military uniform and with a funny lookin’ mustache!”
And as mentioned above, the libs want something done about the Sudan, where a murderous dictator has killed thousands of people in his own country. Well, so do I! The Air Force and Navy shoulda kicked Bashir’s butt years ago, back in the 90’s when he was wiping out the black Christians in southern Sudan. Bring the Iowa class battleships out of retirement and shell the Janjaweed with those big 16 inch guns! But as soon as we do bomb Sudan, the libs will complain about us being warmongers.
Qoute from the President of the United States: “Iraq poses a major threat to our security, regime change is our policy.”
That was President Bill Clinton. With Dubya, we finally had a prez with the nads to do it, then the libs turn 180 degrees .. why? For political reasons, a chance to regain the majority. Playing politics with the lives of our brave Troops. Pathetic.

could not agree with you more
….save dafur…what do they want us to do? If “they” want u.s. troops there is it not sending them into a civil war? Which is exactly what “they” complain about now in Iraq.
In short SF lost any semblance of intelligence a long time ago.
robo on March 20, 2007 at 1:28 PM
If San Fran did not exist life would be a lot more boring. What a great weird city, if it had to exist by itself it would commit suicide.
right2bright on March 20, 2007 at 2:03 PM
Ugh. Please reserve your hate for the idiots and not the people who have the misfortune of having to live next door to the idiots. It’s hard enough living here already; the constant hate directed at us just for having to live here just makes it harder.

SF never fails to come through with some of the best entertainment I’ve ever seen. It’s nice to see that there was some Pro-American supporters amongst the hoards of… stop here before getting banned.

I doubt Zombie is a female after reading this caption:
The photo is of an attractive topless woman wearing an “Impeach Bush” bumper-sticker as a sort-of bra. I would say that I approve of this as a new protest fashion, but it is all too easy to see such things getting out of hand. Nobody wants to see Rosie O’Donnell wearing such a bumper sticker, for example.
Anton on March 20, 2007 at 2:38 PM
my 1 line email to the article’s author:
I’m damn glad you and SanFran aren’t a part of my America. What bunch of fools.

It would not be a bumper sticker; but, a billboard.

Prof sayz: “If the liberals were wrong – will they admit it? … I suspect I know. And I suspect liberals will never admit it.”
You suspect correctly.
The liberals (with few exceptions) have NEVER acknowledged their role in horrific genocide in Cambodia. They blame Nixon and Ford.
At the time, they were “deniers” or even advocates of Pol Pot’s “agrarian solution” for the “disease” of “intellectualism.”

I don’t know how she/he (Zombie) does it? If I ever mingled with those loons, I would blow a gasket within a few minutes.

nailinmyeye on March 20, 2007 at 8:17 PM
Yes, robo, it would be sending our Troops into a civil war. They want us out of Iraq because that’s a “civil war”, they send our Troops to Bosnia and Kosovo, that one really was a civil war. They pulled us out of Somalia because we lost 18 men in that civil war. But now they want us to go into the Darfur/Sudan civil war? They make no sense.
Iran? We MUST have multi-lateral talks! North Korea? We MUST have uni-lateral talks!
Global cooling! Global warming! Global … uh … climate change!
