I was thinking today that even though Bush has had his ups and downs he DID give us the two best SCOTUS judges EVER. Even St. Ronald gave us O’Conner who was an absolute disaster. The next president, if he’s conservative, will give us back a world where human life has value. Restoring the Supreme Court to sanity will go a long way to solving many problems. I would vote for Thompson in a heart-beat but the real battle is who gets to pick the future SCOTUS nominees. Mojave Mark on March 21, 2007 at 1:35 AM

Plain spoken to the point. What a freakin concept. El Presidente Bush has let us down time and time again.

The GOP powers that be don’t care about the rest of America. Rudi-Poo is their man. GHWB was their man before Reagan started talking to the rest of us.

No one man can save this country, but it would be nice to have a US President that cared more about US citizens than North American citizens.

Illegal immigration is a giant hole. When you realize that you are in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.

The audio definitely gets you nodding your head as you are listening to it, just as it was designed to, but it is pap and an hour after hearing it you won’t remember a word of it.

What he says here doesn’t even imply what he might believe. I mean, we know Mexico doesn’t like the fence…what do you think about the fence, Fred?

For those of you that keep referring to Fred’s acting career, keep in mind that the first role he had was playig himself. He was a fine lawyer and keen political mind before he ever started acting. I don’t even consider him an actor. I think roles are written for characters that happen to be Fred Thompson.

Is there any way Bush can just get Thompson to give his speeches for him? Fred can go to the podium and give the speech and then Bush can take the questions from the press after or something. Some people are communicate better when read than when heard, others better when heard than read. Bush’s speeches are better when you read them, Thompson’s are better when you hear them.

Babs….Just froze to the toes!….I am not one of those Americans who float if you get the drift. Without the luggage we had only a sweater and over that a sweat shirt.
It was a left-wing American airlines conspiracy against Texans.

We had breakfast at the hotel then walked over to the Lincoln Memorial. Bout that time my wife said ‘Why am I here exactly?’ But don’t get her wrong. She is 100% pro-troop pro-war anti-crybaby. We spent most of the morning just on the green to the south of the memorial and then got into line for the Vietnam Memorial. That was the hardest to leave. Like a vast number of other Americans there are names on that wall that I knew as flesh and blood. We spent a lot of time there. By the time the protesters were half-way across the bridge my wife and I gave up the ghost and went back to the hotel. Chicken? Nope. Cold and tired…yep.
It was wonderful seeing so many patriots, and bile making to see so many defeatists. My wife and I couldn’t help but talk later about how someday, probably soon, this nation is going to come to blows with itself(again). The writing is on the wall, is anyone paying attention? One thing for sure, my wife and I know what side American Airlines is on.
(sorry American…….this is SATIRE…..I don’t need no libel lawsuit)
