Video: Michelle talks Gathering of Eagles on O’Reilly

GoE’s old news in the ’sphere by now but big-media coverage this big is welcome whenever. The boss had a hard act to follow tonight: the show opened with Sunsara Taylor of World Can’t Wait talking about the Bushitler’s fondness for crushing baby ‘nads. Gateway Pundit has the clip; you’d best watch, as O’R refers to it at the beginning here.

Bill also brought up the melee at the Garden last night in NYC, which, in a nice change of pace, took place in the stands (then in the street, then in the subway station) instead of on the court. MM argued the right-wing position and KP argued the, um, right-wing position. A good time was had by all.

Note: The clip has been edited slightly for awesomeness.

Allah, I believed we were promoised “Powers!” intro saturation here at HA after it was first posted, and “Powers!” intros we shall have! (please?)

Naughty, naughty boy!

Lol, I’m an ass! There it is. I wrote that post prior to watching the segment, because I want to watch the other segment at Gateway first… But figured I’d check if you surprised me first (after already posting) AND THERE IT IS! Thanks

RightWinged on March 19, 2007 at 9:54 PM

Did you folks see the photos of the Oregon Rally where they burned a soldier in effigy? You can see them here

TheBigOldDog on March 19, 2007 at 9:56 PM

Welcome back, Michelle.

He could have shown more our your video of the Gathering of Eagles; and it was a historic event… after 40 long years the Sleeper has awakened.

I watched that train wreck as it happened. That moonbat witch pissed me off at first, but the longer she ranted and the more shrill she got, the more I started laughing. I’m sure the “if you aren’t winning the argument, shout louder and crazier” strategy plays well with the crowd that she runs with, but somehow I doubt that it won over middle America.

ReubenJCogburn on March 19, 2007 at 10:19 PM

Sunsara Taylor is the world’s hottest communist.

sorry for the typo!

I caught Michelle copping a little attitude during the Factor. (Facial expression is everything.)

I snapped my fingers in agreement.

baldilocks on March 19, 2007 at 10:21 PM

I caught this tonight and Michelle was right-on! Now, I feel really bad for this, but I have to disagree with KP’s point about the prior interviewee. That girl clearly has no love for her country. If she had any patriotism at all (and wasn’t simply just crazy from BDS), she would not speak so ill of her country with her fact-free talking points picked up by her local liberal group-think groupies. I’ll give KP HUGE kudo’s for realizing kids problems at school originate from broken families and bad parenting, and Michelle is right - there are no meaningful consequences handed out to school age children anymore, and witness the result.

thedecider on March 19, 2007 at 10:22 PM

This clip proves to me that O’Reilly should be appointed moderator and someone should take the conch away from him.
KP & MM - Need their own show, they just need someone to move the conversation along. Bill O doesn’t let his ‘talent’ talk enough.

MM is right: Our culture lacks discipline and basic respect. As long as we refuse to punish wrongdoing and lack an agreement on what is moral in our society, we are going to see more of this kind of thing. I was speaking to the screen when KP chimed in and said… “It starts at home.”

Points to Powers! We learn right and wrong at home. We learn to fear doing wrong, and to love doing right from Dad and Mom. Mom and Dad need to teach their kids to love God, honor those in authority, and exercise self-control.

We can expect behavioral insanity of biblical proportions. I expect that our society is going to get a lot more unruly before it gets any better.

PastaKeith on March 19, 2007 at 10:24 PM

Typical commie double-think.
Alleged nad crushing with no factual basis: frothing outrage.
Actual documented people shredding: not so much.

bbz123 on March 19, 2007 at 10:37 PM

I’m disappointed at the fact that MM didn’t stress once again the difference in the numbers of the anti-war loons, to pro-troops folks.

We should be shouting it from the rafters!!

5-10K to 30K!!!!! 3 to 1 in favor of our country, admin and troops!!!

tickleddragon on March 19, 2007 at 10:45 PM

Sunsara Taylor is the world’s hottest communist.
Alex K on March 19, 2007 at 10:20 PM

Yes…and Natasha would get away with her commie talking points if it weren’t for moose and squirrel.

Something tells me she likes to ignore inconvenient facts about Iraq.

Alex K on March 19, 2007 at 10:20 PM

She’ll need those looks because no one is home upstairs that’s for sure.

That lady was friggin’ crazy. O’Reilly is a saint for putting up with her as well as he did. I’d have lost it.

Yakko77 on March 19, 2007 at 10:58 PM

Both ladies did very well tonight. Michelle and KP need their own show (together), and I won’t believe for a minute they haven’t discussed the possibility.

realVerse on March 19, 2007 at 10:59 PM

umm, no. i think we can safely say that a maoist who’s bizzare baby testicle allegations are inspired by a radical explicitly committed to overthrowing the government and replacing the constitution is unpatriotic. can’t we? at least in that case?

jummy on March 19, 2007 at 11:07 PM

Zombie has lots of images from a San Francisco rally. Pretty disturbing stuff but don’t question their patriotism.

realVerse on March 19, 2007 at 10:59 PM

There was a pilot a few weeks ago (where AP snagged that “POWERS!” intro from. The show hasn’t been discussed here and I’m not sure why. I’ve repeatedly said it was a good show from the get go, and had even greater potential… and I don’t say that as a partisan because I’ve been an extreme critic of The Half Hour News Hour, and even Red Eye during the first couple shows.

RightWinged on March 19, 2007 at 11:11 PM

When I was just a child in school,
I asked my teacher, “What will I try?
Should I paint pictures”
Should I sing songs?”
This was her wise reply:

“Sunsara, sara,
Whatever will be, will be;
The future’s not yours to see.
Sunsara, sara,
What a witch you’ll be.”

Mr. McCain will fix this anti-Americanism, if president. What held him back all these years I shall never understand.

Kirsten defending Sunsara was like A. Colmes defending the anti-Iraeli add with the 9/11/01 towers…ok, that’s a little too harsh but in the same thought process. On the other hand she was spot on with the other topics.

Entelechy on March 19, 2007 at 11:13 PM

RightWinged on March 19, 2007 at 11:11 PM

That did get generally positive reviews. What did happen to it?

I’d much rather have that show than THHNH

lorien1973 on March 19, 2007 at 11:14 PM

…and even Red Eye during the first couple shows.
RightWinged on March 19, 2007 at 11:11 PM

I still can’t get in to Red Eye. For me, I think there’s way too much joking around. A serious topic is introduced and in mere nano-seconds someone cracks a joke without offering anything substantial in response. Seems a waste of time and more for a crowd that would be better in tune with the unseriousness of The Daily Show. FOX’s best show for quick-hitting news bites is still Fox Newswatch.

thedecider on March 19, 2007 at 11:25 PM

I’m glad Michelle could get some attention to the GoE crowd, which pretty much got …ignored? I’m trying to get the right word, suppressed? no…Anyone?

Sunsara is a total nutbar. I wonder if she’ll ever snap out of it, kinda hope so, she’d be sorta cute if you could move her away from the psychotic Communist rantings

Bad Candy on March 19, 2007 at 11:28 PM

I actually like Newswatch, but I like RedEye too, I just wish it were on a little earlier.

Bad Candy on March 19, 2007 at 11:29 PM

But if RedEye were on earlier you’d still be sober and then it wouldn’t make any sence.

I hear what you’re saying totally, but I have to admit Red Eye really grew on me. I forced myself to give it a chance, and now I can’t miss it… if for nothing else Andy Levy’s half-time report, and Greg’s mom, the Fox Senior News Correspondent… and Rachel’s legs…. and Julia Allison.

I stopped watching the clip when Democratic Party Strategist Kirsten started blathering about the nut-job’s motivation and refused to follow Bill’s questioning of Sunsara’s patriotism. This is supposed to be a reasonable Democrat?

Michelle, I know you get along well with Kirsten as a colleague and, for all we know, as a friend. But all I saw in that clip was Kirsten feeling the nutroot’s pain.

Allah, perhaps you could occasionally replace videos of Kirsten with James Carville in a wig?

Anton on March 19, 2007 at 11:46 PM

Actually she is. And far more balanced than most in her party. Call her a right-leaning Democrat.

This is the problem with doing politics in a panel discussion: No one bothers to define the term Patriot. And if MM and BO (B.O.?) and KP don’t agree on what the word means, then anything they discuss afterwards isn’t going to make a lick of sense.

If KP says she thinks the woman is a patriot, the response is “What is a patriot?” not… “You think she’s a patriot?” with a tone that says “You’re wrong.”

PastaKeith on March 20, 2007 at 12:12 AM

KP is about as reasonable as you are going to find on the left side of the aisle.

Yakko77 on March 19, 2007 at 11:09 PM

Yakko77, thanks for the link, I actually worked my way all the way through……. not a walk in the park.

Goes back to Sunsara Taylor, and Bill and Kirstens comments, “she’s a patriot, she’s a patriot…”

Yeah? FOR WHAT COUNTRY?

This is more than just a “Disagreement” on policy, this is a total “Facist/Socialist/Anarchist/Communist” movement inside the United States!

THIS is what I was trying to ask billy in another thread, I was trying to get a point of “reference” because I just can not comprehend this mind set…. (no slam on you billy).

I have seen fellow “Americans”, spewing the most horrific “hate” and “violence” upon our society, and the MSM smiles as they report it, and our enemies plaster it all over their airways. By the way, our enemies don’t have “Freedom of the Press”……. and then they wonder why people keep attacking us?

I can see these “protestors”, coming home from the rally, checking the mail to see if thier welfare check has come in.

Would it be a fair question to ask those in power, “when treason is taught in our school system, how long do you think you will be in power, along with, don’t you think we need to change this?”

PinkyBigglesworth on March 20, 2007 at 12:25 AM

Yes, Sunsara and the rest do love an America. It’s just not the America that exists now or ever has existed. It’s the America of single-payer healthcare (actually Government Everything) and no more corporations, and no military except maybe disaster relief and getting rid of that icky “sovereignty” stuff - all those sorts of things. One time when love of America was being questioned, one lefty even insisted to me “I love America - the earth and the trees!!!”. So for some, even just the physical space is “America”, with none of those messy geo-political, Constitutional or historical accoutrements.

eeyore on March 20, 2007 at 12:31 AM

BOR: Am I a genius?

KP: Yeah, I guess you are.

Heart-ache…

spmat on March 20, 2007 at 1:41 AM

I’m so sick of this “don’t question their patriotism” stuff. When you’re on the Left, the one thing you DON’T WANT TO BE CALLED is partriotic! That (the loathing of American freedoms) is the root, core reason for being on the Left in the first place, for God’s sake! Questioning their “patriotism” is like a compliment for them, not an insult. I’m so sick of people on the Right letting themselves be taken for fools, letting the Left set the speech agenda, while the Left sits back and laughs at how in a bunch the Right is about what it can and can’t say to be “offensive”. Every Leftist knows they aren’t patriotic (to anything but an imaginary World Government, perhaps), otherwise they wouldn’t be on the Left!!! Could the Right stop playing this silly game with them and just say it like it is?!

Halley on March 20, 2007 at 2:24 AM

I’m so sick of this “don’t question their patriotism” stuff. When you’re on the Left, the one thing you DON’T WANT TO BE CALLED is partriotic!

Right on. I scanned the photos from the DC protest and I don’t believe I saw one American flag on the anti-american anti-war side. Similarly, in the local Seattle coverage of the march here today, no American flags flying. They are ashamed to be flying the flag. One of my co-workers is a ardent lib. I told her that I would bring my American flag in and hang it on the wall across from our offices so that she could see it. She was aghast and told me not to do such a thing.

I disagree with O’Reilly. They aren’t patriotic and, as Halley points out, they don’t want to be patriots. They just want to be right and have power to promote their socialist politics and lifestyles. To claim offense at having their patriotism questioned is just a strategy to avoid alienating other Americans from their cause.

Mallard T. Drake on March 20, 2007 at 2:54 AM

I’m here in Portland. I didn’t go out yesterday because I knew those freaks were going to be out and a part of me is sorry I didn’t. These creatures are scum. They are not Americans. I would have gone and ripped that sign out of their filthy hands and ripped it up, damn the consequences. I think Michelle’s idea of a Gathering of Eagles here would be a great idea. If anyone in this area wants to get one together, I would be glad to help and do whatever was needed to show this filth what real Americans are made of.

marianpaul on March 20, 2007 at 3:01 AM

Sunsara Taylor is NOT a patriot. As the man says, slandering your country is unpatriotic. She’s giving aid and comfort to Al Qaeda by either making these charges up or mindlessly repeating them. The word for her is traitor.

TwinkietheKid on March 20, 2007 at 8:19 AM

I saw the post up at MM’s calling for the GOE to counter events like what took place in Portland yesterday. My first thought was that we are going to end up with fighting in the streets… MM’s proposal could get very ugly.
My second thought was that burning a soldier in effigy is right out of the Palestinian playbook.
Re: Zombie’s SF report; The whole thing has devolved into Carnival.
Re: KP’s insistance that the girl that led off the show is patriotic; Would lightening strike her dead if she admitted the obvious?

Babs on March 20, 2007 at 8:20 AM

KP was in a very weak position and for her to continue to side track the conversation with the motivation defense was very showing of her liberal thinking. Ignore the facts and think by feelings. Why can’t she just some out and say “I do not question her motivation BUT she has nothing to back up what she has to say therefore giving the appearance of the motivation being hate America”

Wade on March 20, 2007 at 9:44 AM

Looking at the pictures of the Portland anarchists keeps on reminding me of the German Nihilists from the Big Lebowski.
“Youf better vatch out because vee are Nihilists. Vee belief in nossing. NOSSING!”
