Jihadis urged to pose as anti-war Americans on online video sites

Via LGF. Is there really some shortfall of defeatist, Bush-hating sentiment in the comments at YouTube that these guys feel the need to supplement it? This is like leftists infiltrating Free Republic to pump up the pro-Tancredo sentiment.
“Invent Stories About American Soldiers You Have [Allegedly] Personally Known”
“Obviously, you should post your contribution… as an American… You should correspond with visitors to this forum, [bringing to their attention] the frustrating situation of their troops in Iraq… You should invent stories about American soldiers you have [allegedly] personally known (as classmates… or members in a club who played baseball and tennis with you) who were drafted to Iraq and then committed suicide while in service by hanging or shooting themselves…”
“Also, write using a sad tone, and tell them that you feel sorry for your [female] neighbor or co-worker who became addicted to alcohol or drugs… because her poor fiancé, a former soldier in Iraq, was paralyzed or [because] his legs were amputated… [Use any story] which will break their spirits, oh brave fighter for the sake of God…”
***
“You should enter into debate or respond only if it is extremely necessary… Your concern should [only] be introducing topics which… will cause [them to feel] frustration and anger towards their government…, which will… render them hostile to Bush… and his Republican Party and make them feel they must vote ton bring the troops back from Iraq as soon as possible.”
Jihadis are even more common at LiveLeak than at YouTube as far as I can tell. Videos of attacks on U.S. troops are uploaded regularly to its Iraq page and I’ve seen guys in the comments with mujahedeen flag avatars. Note the title of this vid, for example, which has been reposted at the site upwards of 10 times now. My comfort level with this stuff being made available for public consumption turns mainly on whether the audience is expected to be mostly American, in which case its useful as a window onto the enemy, or mostly foreign, in which case it’s radicals passing them around to pick up tips and get their rocks off. Paradoxically, that mitigates in favor of LiveLeak instead of YT: because the videos are featured prominently and presented side by side with coalition clips, they’re probably getting more domestic play. At YT, where they’re buried in the stacks and isolated on their own page, the links are probably being passed around by giggling Bin Laden groupies.
The more time passes, the more repetitive/less useful/more simply prurient do jihadi videos become, which is why I haven’t featured one here in awhile. A better question, given the U.S. military’s decision to start uploading its own clips to YouTube, is whether we’re going to end up giving away tips on how best to attack our guys. Jihadis may end up watching our videos even more intently than we watch theirs.
Anyway, good publicity for those YouTube video awards, huh? If Warren25Smash doesn’t win Best Troll then the terrorists have already won.

Youtube is definitey funny. I see comments always prefaced with “As a conservative who voted Bush, I am so so.” Some have claimed to be journalist with deep knowledge about the Bush Administration. The comments section is similar to Huff Pos trying to be creative: using big words, irony, alliteration, pun, simile, and all sh*t that makes one want to smack an english teacher.

I have mixed feeling on LiveLeak. I started checking out LiveLeak after they took over Ogrish, which was, unabashedly, a snuff site. Many postings are directly coming from jihadis and their nerdly allies but As long as you know why they are posting, it really doesn’t have much of an effect on you.

What about Michael Crook?

Wait… Jihadis are being told to “pose” as anti-American dems and RINOs? And they are being “instructed” to make up outrageous lies about American troops, alleged atrocities, and the evil Bush Republicans? I’m a little confused as to why the jihadists needed a “memo” for this kind of propaganda breakthrough… Especially for a site like YouTube. Perhaps this is just one of those “A rectangle is a square isn’t always a rectangle” things.
It’s like making memos for scorpions on how to sting people.

If this doesn’t confirm that the left’s comments/tactics are demoralizing/subverting the troops/american people/war effort, then I don’t know what will.

We already have this. It’s called CNN. They really are living in the dark ages.

Hard for me to tell the difference between a jihadi plant and your regular run of the mill leftist America hater.

Now we know what Murtha and Kennedy do before bedtime. The only question left is … who has the highest blood alcohol content?

Well, since all is fair in love and war the jihadist are doing a begrudingly admirable job.
So, turnabout is also fair play for some creative types to post on the Jihadist and liberal websites. I can just imagine the following post:

Just took a quick (very quick) look at “Warren25Smash.”
You could make a career out of debunking that crap. Each individual lie wouldn’t take long, but there are so many!
How does someone get that much crap in their head?

I got some cool e-mail this evening from a google group. The e-mail was from a jihadist organization and the subject line was The Islamic State of Iraq/ The news report of the State 19-03-2007.
I’m not sure where or how my e-mail address was obtained. But it was definitely not a random e-mail. Word to the wise: someone out there is mining data from the net. Given my habits, it is most likely from conservative-leaning blogs.
I’d be curious to know if anyone else has received something similar.

Speaking of which, when I heard about the YouTube awards, I was rather surprised to find that there is no category for ‘Best Jihadi Propaganda’. Oh well, I guess it’ll have to win in one of the other categories, huh?
