We have 2 cats, males, neutered, declawed, named Shorty and Stubby. They were named after they were neutered. Stubby talks he says no, mama, and hello. If one of mine acted like that he would be dropped kicked across the room by a size 7 up is butt. I guess we’re lucky since they aren’t like normal cats they meet us at the door when we come home, they beg, fetch,kiss your face,play with my son’s dogs when they visit and they love kids, maybe they were dogs in a past life?

My cat doesn’t like to be held. She loves to sit on my lap and is generally affectionate. She’ll let me pick her up but when she meows, it’s time to put her down. I love her dearly, but I respect her limits.

Um, don’t hold it in a way that puts pressure on its internal organs, let it “stand/sit” on your arms; or hold it properly supporting its weight.

Put it down when it starts yowling.

And next, this reporter will see why the cornered badger is making those odd noises, he seems to be having fun…

Are these people masochists, that they apparently jsut waited calmly for the cat to slash her when it was completely obvious to anyone who’s ever interacted with a cat that that is exactly what was about to happen? That’s just mean, to both the human and the cat. What if the cat had gotten the reporter in the eye? Sheesh.

Cats suck! if you die they will imediately begin to feed on you. A dog will wait until he’s very hungry before feeding on your bloated corpse.

My favorite book is “101 things to do with a dead cat”. Hilarious! Cat lovers go crazy over that book!

I’ve had some great psycho cats. One loved sneak attacks and would hide under the dining room table, attacking the legs of anyone who walked by. Hours of entertainment, especially if it was a relative I didn’t like.

He once got me when I was working on my car with the hood open. He took the opportunity to attack by climbing up my legs and back ending up on my head. It was my fault for ignoring the warning signs of him being nowhere in sight.

Okay, even if I grant her the “I was in reporter mode, so I wasn’t focused on the sounds the cat was making,” or even that she’s simply “not a cat person” and somehow didn’t have a clue that the sound the cat was making meant it was PO’ed, not “having fun,” I still have to wonder if no-one else around the reporter (crew? shelter workers?) felt the need to try to wave their arms frantically at her and gesture for her to put the cat down before this happened. She didn’t mention in the follow-up segment that anyone had tried to warn her. I love cats. This wasn’t the cat’s fault at all. I’m glad they followed up to show that the cat is far from a feral, vicious beast.

I own both and they are adorable, for different reasons. The black cat plays with shadows on the wall. I’ve become expert at inventing new figures/games to keep him entertained. He never tires of it. He rules the roost.

I prefer cats to dogs. Easy to litter train, they don’t bark all night, they don’t need to be walked, and they have the perfect size and temperament for curling up in your lap. They can be hard on your furniture if you don’t get them declawed, and they shed a lot.

If you don’t get them declawed, they can be pretty hard on your lap, too.
