If Karl Rove and Dick Cheney had bundled Plame up in a trunk and shipped her direct to Putin and his thugs, Or to China’s MSS or even to Osama himself for interrogation it wouldn’t have made any difference to anything ongoing.

I only saw a few minutes of the hearing this morning but, when asked directly whether she was “covert status” at the time Rob’t Novak wrote his article she replied yes…

Now maybe there is some nuance here that I am missing but, to a regular english speaking person that would imply that her status was covert and her name was not to be divulged.

For all these years I was under the impression that she was not covert at the time of Novak’s publication… So, was she lying or was she covert at time of publication?

The CIA says she was covert. From what I can gather, that status was due to having been undercover in the traditional sense at one time; the continuing covert classification is supposedly to protect any network (s) she may have been involved with in the past. She is no longer at the CIA which tends to support that interpretation.

Which is neither here nor there for prosecutorial purposes–the statue that covers this states that anyone who outs a covert agent has to do so “knowingly.”

I suspect that none of those who outed here did so knowingly, it was more of an attempt to discredit Wilson. It’s odd in that had the administration not gone down this road, Wilson’s editorial would have been quickly forgotten. Strange.

And as trannies go, well I’ve seen better. A lot better!

I think we all agree she’s a good lookin’ broad, but it’s not like she’s Julia Allison or something. And come on, we see hot broads every day.. but how often does the Buffalo Bill make an appearance… on every cable news network… through the entire segment of a big news story!
