Transvestite? Hell he looks like an extra from Monty Python’s Spermalot!!!

Dread Pirate Roberts VI on March 16, 2007 at 1:03 PM

As to the hearing itself …..

Prosecutor Fitzgerald spent three years investigating the Plame leak and found no evidence that anyone purposely outed a covert CIA agent. Maybe I missed something, but I don’t remember any indictments handed down for the alleged crime he was assigned to investigate.

Porky Waxman & friends are on a witch hunt, believing they can convince the public of something that is not true, has proven not to be true in a court of law, simply by saying over and over again a covert agent was outed by the evil Bush cronies and by displaying concocted flow charts that look like an explosion in a spaghetti factory.

This is a classic MSM practice put into play by house Democrats. Repeat a lie over and over again, and say it so many times the uninformed public will eventually believe it to be true. SAYING IT DOESN’T MAKE IT SO. THERE WERE NO INDICTMENTS!

Much ado about nothing.

Grandstanding.

fogw on March 16, 2007 at 1:05 PM

She must have been talking about Patrick Leahy and J.D Rockerfeller IV the last half of that statement. They were (some of) the ones that actually did that kind of damage.

LegendHasIt on March 16, 2007 at 1:06 PM

At least in that segment, she never says “my status was covert” or that “the fact that I work for the CIA was classified”. Maybe she does in her full remarks. Maybe she doesn’t. I’d be interested to see what she has to say under oath.

see-dubya on March 16, 2007 at 1:12 PM

I thought she was using sign language for the hearing impaired.

Awesome!

Somebody take a note: putting a giant pink transvestite in any situation makes it funny.

That was awesome. If that was really some Bush supporter doing a parody, it’s even more awesomer. Awesomest, in fact.

I only have three questions:

1) Who is that pink gal?
2) How in God’s name did the CIA hire somebody like Plame?
3) When is Plame appearing in Playboy?

Hmmmph

franksalterego on March 16, 2007 at 1:35 PM

And the guy who investigated this for 4 years, costing MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars, is NOT on the witness list…

Not watching, is anyone on the panel asking her tough questions???

Romeo13 on March 16, 2007 at 1:37 PM

Didn’t I see that guy in pink last stalking Jodie Foster in a basement during “Silence of the Lambs?”

Beside that, I love Valerie’s Plame’s “Do any on you girls out there ever have days like this?” expression in the freeze frame.

I considered that possibility as well, because seriously… how can people like this really exist!? The best part is, that nutjob gives the “impeach Bush” crowd the face they deserve. That this person is the one sent up to get on camera during this event is evidence for the mainstream of just what type of loons make up the anti-war left.

I’m prepared to take the blame, as I used that word when emailing AP and Ian about this. If it turns out that this is an un-PC term, or that we’re in fact looking at the ugliest woman on the planet, I take full responsibility and will endure all the rehab necessary.

The pink transvestite is Joe wilson in a top CIA disguise provided him by his wife.

bopbottle on March 16, 2007 at 1:43 PM

On the serious side of this thing, in the opening remarks by Henry Waxman he kept referring to her as covert, and even Republicans on the panel did. Plame herself did, though it all seemed carefully worded enough so as not to be clear whether she was covered under the specific law that this whole “controversy” was about (which she wasn’t according to even the law’s co-author). Sometimes it didn’t seem carefully worded, and she seemed to outright claim she was covert, but she would then be lying under oath (she did swear in)… though she’s not in a court of law, so I don’t know if that really matters.

Just in the opening statements the word “covert” was used 17 times…
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/16/AR2007031600811.html
… and I’m sure dozens more throughout the event.

E.D. Hill and Julie Kirtz discussed it shortly after and noted that Plame had said she was covert early on, but in response to questions she was very careful not to state so matter of factly that she was covert at the time.

Again, as we all know, the “leak” was done by an Iraq war critic anyway, and even still didn’t break the law because it would have to be with intend to blow cover, etc. etc. This whole thing is stupid, but will allow the media to tear off another approval point or two from the President’s numbers.

RightWinged on March 16, 2007 at 1:47 PM

ROFL, Readymade…too rich! Love it. Love all the comments here. heheheee…

Also, I agree…how in the hell did someone that dumb get hired by the CIA? Was her “covert” status to act like a bimbo to cover artificial intelligence? If she’s the face of the CIA, I’m REALLY scared!

I bet she’ll make a return visit to the pages of Vanity Fair, too.

Shivv on March 16, 2007 at 2:29 PM

Exactly Shivv. Nonfactor, this is why I simply laughed at you with that comment, because it was obvious you were serious.. obvious and sad. Even if we were to accept that Libby having as bad a memory as all witnesses against him was some kind of a crime, those “lies” he told didn’t prevent any investigation from going forward. Even you liberals know that he was tried simply because the left would have rioted in the streets if someone hadn’t gone down. We all know that this is the only reason Fitz carried on the case after learning in the beginning that Armitage “leaked” the name in the first place. There was no crime because there was no intent and Plame wasn’t covered under the law anyway, but that wouldn’t have mattered to the media and the left. So he chased his tail until enough time went buy where someone got their details mixed up about how a couple events (seemingly unimportant at the times they occurred) went down.

I only saw a few minutes of the hearing this morning but, when asked directly whether she was “covert status” at the time Rob’t Novak wrote his article she replied yes…

Now maybe there is some nuance here that I am missing but, to a regular english speaking person that would imply that her status was covert and her name was not to be divulged.

For all these years I was under the impression that she was not covert at the time of Novak’s publication… So, was she lying or was she covert at time of publication?

Nonfactor on March 16, 2007 at 3:09 PM

Scooter Libby is innocent of the charges that were under investigation by Fitzgerald – purposely outing a covert agent. Others who were found to be innocent; Bush, Cheney, Rove, McClellan, Fleischer, Peter Pan and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Libby was found guilty on a perjury count.

There were NO INDICTMENTS for outing a covert agent. NO, as in nada, zippo, zero. If Fitzy claims he couldn’t nail anyone because of Libby’s lousy memory after three years of investigations, he is one hell of a sorry excuse for an attorney.

Maybe he should have called on Armitage or Joe Wilson to testify. That might have helped his case in getting to the truth. I can figure that out, and I assure you I am not a lawyer.

On a side note …. Gloria Toensing kicked some butt, didn’t she?

thirteen28 on March 16, 2007 at 3:32 PM

yeah well, they should’ve just asked Armitage for the truth. I think someone should send those clowns up there in Washington a bill for wasting taxpayers money on this load of cr*p. The grandstanding is nauseating.

pullingmyhairout on March 16, 2007 at 3:39 PM

Guys, this is a serious issue.
Disclosing the location of Plame’s desk could threaten national security.

RedCrow on March 16, 2007 at 3:39 PM

According to AP:

Plame said she did not select her husband for a CIA fact-finding trip to Niger. Wilson said in a newspaper column that his trip debunked the administration’s prewar intelligence that Iraq was seeking to buy uranium from Africa.

“I did not recommend him. I did not suggest him. There was no nepotism involved. I did not have the authority,” she said.

Then there’s this from the WaPo, July 10, 2004:

The report states that a CIA official told the Senate committee that Plame “offered up” Wilson’s name for the Niger trip, then on Feb. 12, 2002, sent a memo to a deputy chief in the CIA’s Directorate of Operations saying her husband “has good relations with both the PM [prime minister] and the former Minister of Mines (not to mention lots of French contacts), both of whom could possibly shed light on this sort of activity.”

If the Post’s story is correct, then didn’t Plame perjure herself today? And can she really be that stupid or self-deluded?

Athanasius on March 16, 2007 at 3:40 PM

pullingmyhairout on March 16, 2007 at 3:39 PM

Of course they should have, but that didn’t fit the left’s agenda, and given this adminstration’s lack of testicular fortitude when faced with criticism from the left, this thing has snowballed to appear to have a legitimacy it would never have if it was merely a search for the truth.

Valerie Plame seems to be playing the role of “outed covert agent”. So, who is she playing it for? The CIA or someone else? Could it be that she is indeed a covert agent after all, just not any agent acting on behalf of the American people. Did she not take an oath to uphold the laws of the country when she accepted the job?

gatewaypundit has Valeria Plame caught in THE LIE

…and given this adminstration’s lack of testicular fortitude when faced with criticism from the left, this thing has snowballed to appear to have a legitimacy it would never have if it was merely a search for the truth.

Just as we’re seeing happen right now, with this fired federal prosecutors dumbshow. RINOs never learn, apparently.

From the Pelosi Camp pictures…

In the background, one of the protesters was strumming folk songs on a dulcimer.

She looks like Cindy Sheehan (pictures # 3 & 4)

Pelosi, huffy, “you’re not my constituents” – Yes, they are…

Nonfactor, I’m not denying being angry occassionally (like when Democrats commit at the very least “borderline treasonous” acts by meeting with foreign leaders and actively aiding our enemy, etc.), but I’m not unloading anger on you.. I’m pointing out what an obnoxious either liar and/or simpleton you are.

As could have been predicted, you chose to go after me for being in denial about the Libby verdict… I’m not in denial about the verdict, I know it was wrong… Oh that’s right, OJ was innocent, right? A conviction does not a guilty person make… but anyway, your response of focusing in on that part of my statement was predictable because you have no argument about the fact that anything Libby did, even if one were to call it “lying” and “obstructing” didn’t prevent Fitzgerald from anything AND YOU AND ANY 3 YEAR OLD LOOKING AT THIS KNOWS IT!

Again, please leave while the grown ups try to decipher the carefully worded statements made at today’s hearing.

I’m amazed that you guys spend more time talking about the tranny than you did the brunette on the left…. :shakes head in disappointment:

Waxman LIED, fool.

I don’t get why some of you are so excited by ‘the brunette on the left’. She looked like she was having cramps (both kinds at the same time) for the whole clip. Even if she smiled occasionaly and had more than half an eyebrow, she would be no better than average looking.

LegendHasIt on March 16, 2007 at 7:46 PM

Actually, that’s Riff Raff, from Rocky Horror Picture Show. Pretty sure.

I think we all agree she’s a good lookin’ broad, but it’s not like she’s Julia Allison or something. And come on, we see hot broads every day.. but how often does the Buffalo Bill make an appearance… on every cable news network… through the entire segment of a big news story! This was hilarious, and frankly I think a good example of what type of people make up the left. You’d have to be this deranged to agree with most of the lefty’s “ideas”.

RightWinged on March 16, 2007 at 8:38 PM

She’s a wanna be blow hard, if she was NOC, she wouldn’t have been in Langley let alone CIA HQ.

Alden Pyle on March 16, 2007 at 8:44 PM

so… if “senior officials in both the White House and State Department” [her words] knew that Secret Squirrel was, in fact, a Secret Squirrel….

Whaaa? is there, like, a list of secret agents taped to a wall somewhere?!? Howinhell did *all* these people know?!?!?
