I am worried about those in Ahmedinajad’s entourage who reportedly will stay on the plane at JFK Airport. Who knows what is being transported on that plane under the rubric of diplomatic immunity? Are these people required to arm some sort of weapon?

Under the rules of the UN, by which the USA as a member must abide, Ahmedinajad must be allowed in and must be allowed to address the UN. What does that senior diplomat mean? That Chavez’ “Bush is the devil” speech at the UN backfired? Who is he kidding? Chavez is a worldwide hero to all the wretched underclasses dispossessed by capitalism and American empire. His “Bush is the devil” speech has given him all the street cred he needed to consolidate power in Venezuela and push it even further on the path to full blown communism.

Chavez’ speech didn’t backfire – it got him an interview with Barbara Walters. It was a huge success. What planet is this senior diplomat living on?

I have no problem with Ahmedjihad coming to the U.S. to give a speech in which he delegitimizes the UN. I also have no problem with the CIA pulling a black op on his stank jihadi ass while he’s here.

So, there’s this:

… that’s all well and good; however, when one of your members states, states:

the Security Council “has no legitimacy,”

… and …

“If all of you gather and also invite your ancestors from hell, you will not be able to stop the Iranian nation.”

… I don’t quite get how the UN can honestly think that the lil’ guy will “participate” in anything beyond coughing up rhetoric and essentially thumbing his nose at them.

So, really .. what’s the point?
