UPDATE: Rosie defends KSM:
In the segment prior to what we originally posted, Rosie defended Khalid Shaikh Mohammed’s “humanity”, remarking terrorists aren’t treated like “humans” but instead “treated like animals.” O’Donnell also raised a picture of KSM and commented he “doesn’t look very healthy after three years in captivity.” Note to Rosie: that picture was taken when he was captured 4 years ago in March 2003. Moreover, Rosie does not mention KSM’s terrorist ties and blood relation to Ramzi Yousef.
Our friend Debbie Schlussel has more on what Rosie said on today’s “The View.”
Continuing, Rosie said Khalid Shaikh Mohammed only admitted his part in 9/11 and other terrorist conspiracies after a “hood [was put] on his head” and he was “beaten to death.” Which is odd, because he’s still alive. And Rosie submits herself to hanging upside down — is her psychiatrist torturing her? KSM planned assassination attacks on President Clinton and Carter, many other attacks all over the world, and just recently confessed to beheading WSJ reporter Daniel Pearl.
ROSIE O’DONNELL, “THE VIEW” HOST: “But I just think, this man for whatever he did or didn’t do, he is not the be all, end all of terrorism in America. And our government has not found the answer in this one way [unintelligible].”
KSM planned 9-11 from stem to stern, had a hand in Jose Padilla’s planned dirty bomb attack, planned Operation Bojinka and more than two dozen other attacks worldwide. The man has buckets of innocent blood on his hands, and if he hadn’t been caught he would have pulled some off and kept planning more. Just what does it take to be the “be all, end all of terrorism,” Rosie?
