I hear this guy speak every morning. He’s a hard realist, but he is also confident we can succeed in helping the Iraqis build a democracy.

It seems as we get more confident we can win in Iraq, the opposition’s screams that we’ve lost get more frantic.

This video shows an American commander that is competent, realistic in his expectations, and should instill a degree of confidence that success in on the horizon.

Don’t expect such a story to come from the MSM, or the partisan Left who is more interested in politcal gain than American interests or victory. Holding your breath for that to happen would be hazardous to your health.

Have they considered adopting a custom of ours called “getting a job”? Maybe with all these shops opening back up, they could find a good job. Maybe some reconstruction work even. After a hard day of digging up streets to install new sewer and water lines, they will be too tired to roam the town killin all night long.
