No fire discipline! Letting their MG ammo drag in the dirt??!!! No cover and advance to the threat? No coordinated fire?? No leadership directing the flow of battle?? How about a 3 – 5 round burst to conserve ammo, walk the fire to the enemy, keep your barrel from burning out. Asses, complete asses.

I’d say it looks like a bunch of dopey teenage boys playing with guns, but it would be a terrible offense to dopey teenage boys.

After 4 F’n years this is the best we can put on the table? We are in trouble with a capital T.

My teenage boys play paintball with better tactical sense than these nitwits.

Well now we know why this whole is taking so long.

For real, I spoke to a guy on my plane who had just gotten home from Iraq, training their new army. He said it took months to teach ‘em stuff it only took weeks to teach American recruits. Patience is the key to victory over there.

Something ain’t right here: that ain’t how men trained in any military force fire their automatic weapons. No one with any worthwhile military training runs around like that, in an undisciplined melee, waving with one arm while dischraging bursts of fire with the other. No one seemed to be in coordination with anyone else: no organized movement towards any objective

I can’t remember the last time I saw so many Muslims in street clothes hopping around in that mad, chaotic way that they have perfected, and shooting horizontally. So they don’t embarrass themselves somebody really ought to tell them the way you’re supposed to waste ammunition–you’re supposed to be hopping around shooting in the air.

Spray and Pray is the order of the day for Arabs and other Third World armies. I’ve seen it all over the world. Arabs seem to have a particular gene that encourages them to do incredibly stupid things like hang around when guys with guns start showing off.

That empty open field is a goner for sure.

At the very end the civilian on the right comes preeeety close to the line of fire.

That had to be pure grandstanding. Or perhaps that’s the latest recruitment strategy for the Iraqi police. Sure drew a crowd.

Am I the only one not understanding what is going on in that video? What were those guys shooting at? Were they under attack? And if so, why were their dozens if not hundreds of children and journalists and regular people all in the mix jumping around and cheering… rather than tucking and hiding?

Perhaps I’m missing the entire point of the video, because it reminded me of the Paliwood videos where the “freedom fighter” Palis were “fighting” against the overpowering force of Israeli soldiers… only you never see any Israelis and just hundreds of normal civilians running around throwing rocks as back-up to a handful of gunman… then people play getting shot and an ambulance rushes in to pick them up, etc.

Again, it’s possible I just don’t understand the scene… can someone explain this video to me?

Loved the reaction of the guy with the heavy machine gun (the PKM?) when the sucker obviously jammed on a belt feed problem a couple shots in…. that’s why you’ve got an a-gunner, dude.

But yeah, this just looks like an uncoordinated shootfest. I couldn’t even see the existence of targets and it was obvious from the behavior of the bystanders that they didn’t expect anyone to shoot back.

Sorry, but that whole thing reeked of Pallywood. You don’t wander around with a friggin’ cameraphone with an AUDIENCE behind you if you’re actually engaged in a gunfight. Unless I’m supposed to believe Arabs are actually that stupid. Please don’t answer that.

It looks to me that these policemen are showing their “strength” to the locals and the locals love it. This is probably the best thing they can do right now, to gain the trust of the residents right?
