I actually found it funny from two points. The first point is the obvious Irack/Iraq and the CEO’s/ POTUS comparison. But the other reason it was funny is that second level where the majority of stockholders would rant and rail but in the end would do nothing except run from the responsibility they should exert to fix the problem… in other words, what the Democratic Party has been doing the whole time. Really good comedy always works on two levels.

I think you either “get” Conan, or you don’t. I think watching him is like torture. The “in the year 2000″ skits were kinda funny; but the premise got old quick.

To each his own. Whenever I’ve watched Conan, however, I’ve had nothing but a stone-face even through the parts the audience found the funniest.

Like Conan O’Brien, MadTV just isn’t funny and never has been. This is more proof of that.

It’s not just a partisan thing… as most of you (especially those who find it funny) I’m one of the biggest critics of The Half Hour News Hour… I don’t care if it “agrees” with me, it’s stupid (so far, though the second episode got better). While I disagree with this sketch, the reason I don’t like it is because it’s not funny… though it does make it more annoying to know that the audience is the late night talk show/Daily Show type audience who gets their news from comedy bits… I have trouble ignoring these people as just idiots, because their votes are the types that cancelled ours out last election, and they’ll be around next time too.

That’s not too far of a stretch. Jeff *Skunk* Baxter (guitarist for the Doobies) has always struck me as a conservative. Check out his Wiki profile (scroll down to his work with Defense contractors). A couple of excerpts-
