Hallelujah: Trump and Rosie ready for round two

There are no peace treaties in this war, only hudnas. And the Donald decided last night that the usefulness of the current hudna had finally run its course.

That prompted this measured, carefully proportionate response on this morning’s “The View.” Suddenly, the most anticipated rematch since Israel vs. Hezbollah was on.

If they ever cancel “The View,” I think I’ll have to resign.

Same.

Are there any adults left in this country? Helllloooo? Excuse me while I fire up the Nintendo…

robblefarian on March 14, 2007 at 4:38 PM

If they ever cancel “The View,” I think I’ll have to resign.

So you’re saying that people who don’t watch The View are unpatriotic? Is that what you’re saying???

My only hope is that Rosie does a run-in at Wrestlemania where Trump has that hair-vs-hair match with Vince McMahon.

Enrique on March 14, 2007 at 4:39 PM

I really can’t choose a side on this. They both make me want to do the Big Technicolor Yawn.

Gottafang on March 14, 2007 at 4:39 PM

I’m surprised The Donald didn’t switch from the ‘fat ugly slob’ theme of insults and make a Mussolini joke…

Bad Candy on March 14, 2007 at 4:42 PM

Isn’t trump just pushing his WWE payperview here? Isn’t that really the angle he has at this point?

lorien1973 on March 14, 2007 at 4:46 PM

I’d call Rosie a f……, but um, nevermind.

JayHaw Phrenzie on March 14, 2007 at 4:48 PM

Let’s do this.

Let’s don’t.

RedWinged Blackbird on March 14, 2007 at 4:52 PM

LOL…If only we were seeing a Trump/Rosie shootfight at Ford Field. That would be AWES0EMS~!

fusionaddict on March 14, 2007 at 4:55 PM

Can’t we just hit these two with cruise missiles and be done with it? Don’t get me wrong; I’m for anything that tarnishes the celebrity culture. But this is just getting ridiculous.

jaleach on March 14, 2007 at 5:01 PM

isn’t Donald busy with Vince McMahon?

Wrestling Match
The Donald vs. Yokozuna

Defector01 on March 14, 2007 at 5:05 PM

Does the guy in the audience who loves Rosie realize that he is barking up the wrong tree?

DAT60A3 on March 14, 2007 at 5:07 PM

Wasn’t this a “Celebrity Death Match”?

Catseye on March 14, 2007 at 5:09 PM

LOL…If only we were seeing a Trump/Rosie shootfight at Ford Field.

Personally, I’d like to see a match between Rosie and Mickie James. Frankly, I’d just like to see Mickie work WM23 at all, her match with Trish Stratus last year in Chicago was classic.

Enrique on March 14, 2007 at 5:11 PM

Does the guy in the audience who loves Rosie realize that he is barking up the wrong tree?

And if that was his wife, he’s also sleeping on the couch…

Mazztek on March 14, 2007 at 5:12 PM

Frankly, I’d just like to see Mickie work WM23 at all, her match with Trish Stratus last year in Chicago was classic.

I met Mickie at a house show in my hometown, and I have to say without a doubt she’s the nicest, sweetest TV personality I’ve ever met (and I’ve met quite a few). She spent no less than an hour in the parking lot going down the line of fans saying high and giving out hugs…oh yes, I got a hug from Mickie James.

fusionaddict on March 14, 2007 at 5:19 PM

The Donald vs. Yokozuna

More like Viscera, or Mabel, or whatever the hell he calls himself these days….but that works, too.

Kid from Brooklyn on March 14, 2007 at 5:25 PM

Enrique, I find it funny that a guy like you that rags on people for believing in God, is now talking about Pro-Wrestling like its a real thing…

Bad Candy on March 14, 2007 at 5:32 PM

Hope Rosie wears a cup.

Glynn on March 14, 2007 at 5:33 PM

Bad Candy on March 14, 2007 at 5:34 PM

Aww, what the? That stupid link is a weird slowdown version. Someone else can find the original…I fail twice at the internet.

Bad Candy on March 14, 2007 at 5:37 PM

HA! That’s my buddy Dave Wills, I went to ECW December to Dismember with him & his wife.

fusionaddict on March 14, 2007 at 5:40 PM

Oh, and he has a web site… http://www.itsstillrealtome.com

fusionaddict on March 14, 2007 at 5:41 PM

Fusion…BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!! GTFO!!

Oh, well, I guess at least he embraces his 15 minutes…

Bad Candy on March 14, 2007 at 5:45 PM

oh yes, I got a hug from Mickie James.

Bastard.

Enrique, I find it funny that a guy like you that rags on people for believing in God, is now talking about Pro-Wrestling like its a real thing…

When I pretend that wrestling is real, I know I’m pretending. ;)

Enrique on March 14, 2007 at 5:59 PM

…nice, Enrique.

That was a pretty predictable response, though, I was almost gonna come in and write it for you.

Bad Candy on March 14, 2007 at 6:08 PM

oh yes, I got a hug from Mickie James.

Let me second that: BASTARD

I’ve actually heard that WWE’s Victoria is also quite the class act, but that is just rumors I’ve heard.

From other BASTARDS.

OHNOES on March 14, 2007 at 6:50 PM

Somebodies gots too much time on deh hands

Kini on March 14, 2007 at 7:06 PM

I wish Trump every success and the all the best. Even though I look forward to when O’Donnell fades away (that may take a long, long time considering her physcial appearance) I do enjoy listening to Trump make observations about the troll. I wish Trump would get some lessons from Dennis Miller on how to be more effective in his satire.

omegaram on March 14, 2007 at 7:35 PM

I can’t stand either one of them. This whole thing is retarded.

Connie on March 14, 2007 at 8:31 PM

It’s the Iran-Iraq war all over again.

aengus on March 14, 2007 at 9:01 PM

Is it sweeps week again?

I don’t know if I heard it right, but I could have sworn that after Rosie repeated what Donald said about her being depressed after looking in the mirror, one of the others asked; “Are you?”

RedinBlueCounty on March 14, 2007 at 9:48 PM

That was a pretty predictable response, though, I was almost gonna come in and write it for you.

You forgot “And that’s a shoot, brother.” :)

Enrique on March 14, 2007 at 10:28 PM

Where was Barbara Walters?

I give Trump one thing, he’s loyal to his country.

amerpundit on March 15, 2007 at 12:15 AM

I give Trump one thing, he’s loyal to his country.

amerpundit on March 15, 2007 at 12:15 AM

And why shouldn’t he? Name one other country in the world where The Donald would have amounted to anything more than the one he hates, viz. Rosie. The mystery is why ISN’T Rosie loyal to this country. If she had been born in nearly any other country, she’d most likely already be dead, instead of rich and infamous.

CyberCipher on March 15, 2007 at 12:45 AM

Sheep say, “Lets all act like the fat pig and do a Donald hair flip”

Booo on March 15, 2007 at 9:55 AM

Uh oh. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but:

http://www.googlefight.com/index.php?lang=en_GB&word1=Donald+Trump&word2=Rosie

LOL!

PoliticallyIncorrectSandy on March 15, 2007 at 10:25 AM

Well, maybe I spoke too soon:

http://www.googlefight.com/index.php?lang=en_GB&word1=Donald+Trump&word2=Rosie+O%27Donnell

LOL…

Sorry, back to the news now…

PoliticallyIncorrectSandy on March 15, 2007 at 10:28 AM

Rosie vs. Trump II a possible stunt to help push the Wrestlemania agenda?

Was there any doubt?

Trump is merely taking lessons from the one man who has an undeniable edge on him, 21st Century Barnum himself. Vince McMahon, like his business or not, took a local promotion over from his father and turned it into a saavy media conglomerate which embraced promotion and new media in a way they’ll be writing about in marketing textbooks for years.

Between drawing back the curtains and showing us what’s REALLY going on, and fully embracing the “kayfabe” on camera (Suuuuuure, Donald Trump could have pushed a 235 pound workout animal about his age over a table in front of a national audience if Vince didn’t want to take the fall to sell the product…Now, does anyone wanna buy a bridge in Brooklyn?), McMahon may be everything tacky about public image in America, but he knows how to sell that image to a T.

52Ranger on March 15, 2007 at 10:51 AM

I can see it in his eyes…he digs her.
