There was never anything wrong with this post. I set it up fine, and Spousebuzz described the ambush perfectly well. The updates just prove that my aside in the open is true–Montel’s a moonbat. The idea that he couldn’t be because of his prior military experience never made any sense. By that standard, even Jimmy Carter (Navy nuclear sub service) can’t be a moonbat.

I do know he was once an intelligence officer in the Navy, so unlike many, he at least has practical military experience

Sounds like the chickenhawk card’s been thrown on the table – a corollary.
Chickenhawk – can’t support or argue credibly for the war effort if one hasn’t served
Chickenhawk/reverse – any moonbat who served once upon a time can’t be criticised for any subsequent, illogical, rude behavior.
Seems like more reason to preserve the all volunteer army -a certain number of drafted people hold the resentment of being drafted all their lives.

Bad combination. If he ever has a conservative on his show he ambushes them, sets them up and berates them. And they are almost always out numbered.

Whatever the topic… it is still bullshit. The polio vaccine can cause problems in a small percentage of people… but it is still better than the disease. These people need to get over that we in the military are not working at wallmart. if 1 out of every 25000 gets sick in order to ensure than EVERYONE ELSE survives an Anthrax attack in battle, than I say it’s worth it (BTW I have gotten the vaccine 9 times).

Sounds like a “Montel Williams ambushes military families” to me.
This is what Bryan was getting at; the military families, while having loved ones deployed, become a tool to get ratings. Instead of a time when they may have a chance to share with us their pride, they end up fighting for their pride.
Anything…anything, for ratings. Disgusting.

I thought Montel was a marine. Well, no matter. A few months ago he did a couple of shows from a carrier in the gulf. I only saw a little bit of one show, but he didn’t seem anti-military.

I think Bryan laid it out accurately in the tease. He said he had heard Montel had gone moonbat crazy. I don’t see that as a mis-representation.
