This basically means you can get fired, or leave a job, at <em>any</em> time for <em>any</em> reason at all and not get in legal hot water! So if you have a bad day you can just, walk away! And if you find out your employer is paying higher wages to someone doing the exact same job as you, and the person has less experience and/or less authority/responsibility than you, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it because you have no <em>legal</em> leverage at the state level whatsoever! Yay! In the state I live in we have the exact opposite of unions – at will employment! This basically means you can get fired, or leave a job, at any time for any reason at all and not get in legal hot water! So if you have a bad day you can just, walk away!
