That vid has been floating around for about a year. The MSM says they were a bunch of innocent farmers that this Apache killed.

So many Americans who can’t or won’t volunteer for military service, because of age, health, family, responsibilities, or even simple fear, could take part in combat if the available technology gave them a stable remote connection to an airborne weapon system.

Interesting idea, but how would we stop people like Pelosi and Murtha from shooting at our troops?

The mini explosion were the give away.

That cannon shoots a depleted uranium round that is designed for heavy tank armor. I’m sure it would be less effective against soft targets.

Umm, not to be too technical, but I think a brief explanation of thermodynamics is appropriate here. A gas under high pressure cools when it expands, so it appears black on IR. In the example you cited, the gas is not under high pressure, so it doesn’t expand significantly. The camera is actually detecting the guy’s body heat, so it appears white on IR.

To tie this back in to the real topic, here’s a version that streams better for me on LiveLeak.

Infrared cameras are awesome. We had a company demo one in our tank farm (compressed gases) for leak detection. Leaks that would otherwise never be detected show up as black clouds on IR. The camera was developed for use by Navy Seals, so it was completely water-proof with a self-contained cooling system – $75K!

Where the heck does one buy carbon offsets? Are there any wholesale distributors? What’s the profit margin?
