Audio: “Jimmy Carter Says Yes”

posted at 10:22 am on March 5, 2007 by Allahpundit

Written in the musical idiom of the time, it was once described by Lileks as “the finest soul-disco song about governmental competence ever written.”

And so it is, my friends. So it is.

Exit question: Isn’t the Nixon song better? Come on.

Blowback

Why wasn’t this song included in my Monster Ballads CD I ordered from Time Life Music?

I lived through those days and it made me vomit then too.

These are percfect examples of why there are many things in life that need to be left to the professionals.

I’ve got to say the Nixon one was better. True, the Carter has funk, but the Nixon has a deep soulful sound and quasi-military march to it.
