I don’t want to write another word about she who shall not be named, but speaking for myself…It’s the wise thing to do. The video is very well done too.
—
Two wrongs don’t make a right, but this is worth mentioning..
—
Rudy on judges. He gave what I thought was the best speech last week. But he has some work ahead of him if he’s going to win conservatives to his side.
—
When I was in the Air Force, the military switched over to a health care system called Tri-Care. It quickly earned the nickname “try and get care.” So the Walter Reed disgrace is not a great surprise. It is a great shame, though.

…but three lefts do.

Hey! I must not have been paying attention…I didn’t realize Bryan was a fellow former blue-suiter.

And its not acceptable. The brave men and women who fight for this country, and get injured doing so, deserve the very best medical care this country can provide.
amerpundit on March 5, 2007 at 1:10 PM
That is what we will all have with nationalized universal health coverage for all.
bopbottle on March 5, 2007 at 1:10 PM
A Reliant K reference. Nice. I came thisclose to tossing that line in the post myself just to see if anyone would get it.

Hmmmm…..what was it Geffen said about Hillary the other day?
.
GT on March 5, 2007 at 1:19 PM
Didn’t Hillary make some comments about gas station owners once?.
Uh, didn’t Biden say something similar as well?
Rick on March 5, 2007 at 1:29 PM
Our long time family physician, the one who has been my son’s doctor since he was in pre-school, won’t accept Tri-Care.
Re: “She who shall not be named”….
Patterico is wrong when he wrote: “I continue to believe that her sort of comments are counterproductive to what conservatives are trying to do — just as the comments listed in this post are counterproductive to the goals of leftists.”
The left does NOT believe their hate screeds are “counterproductive.” They think that they’re speaking “truth to power.” And it is working. Just look at the last election.

I am retired and use Tricare. No VA clinics for me or hospitals, I use regular docs who are on the plan. No complaints So I will just shut up.
LakeRuins on March 5, 2007 at 1:45 PM
That first Coulter vid was spot on…agreed, very well done.
We’re not aiding and abetting the Dem’s when we criticize Coulter for her remarks, we’re helping ourselves.
JetBoy on March 5, 2007 at 1:51 PM
I agree, I do not believe in this “two wrongs don’t make a right” nonsense. You can’t sit back and let someone nasty, make nasty comments…you fire back and put them in their place. That is one of the problems we have had, the old, “we don’t want to stoop to their level”, is bull.
It reminds me of the old army in ancient times that marched upright into battle because it was the “right” thing to do. Got their butt kicked, but it was the “right” thing to do.

This is the last I’ll post on the subject of Coulter’s remarks, lest this becomes another huge thread…
Look, the Left is gonna do what the Left is gonna do. We know they’re wrong, hypocritical, and beyond contempt. On that, I agree with you.
But you’re proposing something along the lines of “They don’t criticize their own, so we shouldn’t either” and “If they criticize Ann, and we do as well, we’re helping them” (them being the libs)
Both of which are totally untrue.
And the reason the Dems won the last elections is because of the war in Iraq, mostly. Not because of any perceived waffling by conservatives…
JetBoy on March 5, 2007 at 2:09 PM
I agree with that, but you have to be careful with what you say (as a conservative). The average undecided voter only picks up on what the MSM feeds them – that means they only see the negative publicity placed on the conservatives, and have no clue as to what the liberals have said or done. All that does is get conservatives beat in the elections.
Rick on March 5, 2007 at 2:11 PM
Good point. But the general public will catch on, the average public is not stupid…we just need to call out the insulters and not let them hit and run.
right2bright on March 5, 2007 at 2:20 PM
Very true.
Rick on March 5, 2007 at 2:22 PM
TRICARE, though not perfect, has come a long way since replacing CHAMPUS. Can it improve, yes. Will it? Only time will tell.
SPIFF1669 on March 5, 2007 at 2:24 PM
Rudy and Gingrich, a balance we could live with.
right2bright on March 5, 2007 at 2:31 PM
Patterico’s harangues simply make sense!
Entelechy on March 5, 2007 at 2:55 PM
Allahpundit, Bryan, Michelle, Ian….
Please amend the HotAir terms of service to prohibit future Ann Coulter threads. I have never seen such a foolish comment orgy in my life.
Thank you.

Assuming they’re all 90 degree turns.
The video link about AC was right on. Boundaries, baby, boundaries. Keep that junk in the trunk.
spmat on March 5, 2007 at 3:38 PM
Hey, Chris Matthews…I think Rudy is looking for judges with “Craaa-kle”
JetBoy on March 5, 2007 at 3:43 PM
“Would these giants . . . take the sullied path?”
Money.
The Ritz on March 5, 2007 at 7:29 PM
You said it, Bryan. We called it “the medical hobby shop.” And these morons on the left want this for everyone?! HA! ANYTHING but that.
Now that I’m retired Tricare is great, since I use normal docs and hospitals. But on active duty, it sucked. It sucked before Tricare, too. Break a bone? Here, have some Motrin. Sucking chest wound? Here, have some Motrin, sez the PA. You get the picture. No thanks.
