Sorry about last week, I completely forgot “24″ was on. In fact, I missed it. Thank God for TiVO.
Here’s a preview to tonight’s hour:
Last week President Wayne Palmer fell victim to a bomb attack in the White House. Did he survive? We will soon find out.

Gahhhhhhh. Stupid midterms. What sort of professor has a midterm on a Tuesday? Don’t they know I don’t do any work on Monday nights because of 24? Basically, I am skipping 24 to study. Thank goodness for um… Tivo… (or less legal methods of getting my 24 fix).

310 that’s my mom’s area code, she lives in L.A. county. We live in Ventura County and it’s fun to see all these streets and freeways we are familiar with being used as locations.

Good for Tom Lennox. I didn’t like him from the start, but he finally did the right thing.

Maybe if Ann Coulter worked for CTU she could find the nukes by insulting our enemies with un-PC words. They will come clean in seconds. They’ll beg for Bauers torture sessions.

So is the VP in on the assasination attempt on the President or not?

Kari Matchett!
So good on the Timothy Hutton – Maury Chaykin version of Nero Wolfe.

Oh, and Wonderfalls.

Pretty decent episode tonight. It’s nice to see the US initiating an Act Of War for a change.
Next week’s episode should be interesting watching VP Powers Boothe playing Political Poker with the Russians after Morrison storms the Russian Embassy to get Jack back.
Jack.

One of the better episodes of the season.
Valiant on March 6, 2007 at 7:58 AM
I think this season has been marred by “President Wayne Palmer”. Nothing against DB Woodside, who I like as an actor, but a former Chief of Staff (and that’s all he’s been in the political world of 24) becoming POTUS is as unlikely as anything Hollywood has ever dreamed up. Would it have killed them to go with someone who hasn’t been on the show before? Or bring Ray Wise’s VP from last season back as POTUS?
Sloppy writing this season as well. Things better pick up over the next few hours.

I don’t believe the charge d’affairs of the LA Consulate of Russia is a Breshnev look alike.

JG2K6 on March 6, 2007 at 12:29 PM
Was it just me or did the guy who shot the Russian agent calling CTU look a little like President Putin? Not a bad episode last night but boy do they love dropping a dump trucks worth of problems on top of Jack…and he’s got no backup except that washed up President.

Palmer’s Secretary of Defense=Chief of Police in Demolition Man
He also played the Warden in “Shawshank Redemption”, JG2K6.
Jack.

One of the Russian dudes was on Hunt for Red October I think, I know I’ve seen him somewhere and it’s bugging me.
Looks like 24 is making the Jihadi’s out to be pawns *sigh*
In conclusion, this episode was better but the season still sucks.

P.S. Still can’t not watch

Can someone tell me what happened in the last 5 or so minutes. The last thing my computer recorded before my cable went out was Jack telling the guy guarding him that he needed his help. Can someone feed me in on the final few minutes?
zerodamage on March 6, 2007 at 10:21 PM
Zero: About the only thing of significance after that was that Jack DID convince the guard to call. And just as the guard was about to speak to Bill Buchanan, another russian shot him dead.
Cat: Well, the way I see it in real life, the way things are going with Putin, they ARE going back to the way things were in the ‘good old days’: Russia arming and training terrorists of ANY persuasion, as long as they were anti-West /anti-American.
So, the Russians using jihadis as pawns to do their dirty work IS a very likely scenario.
Given the current attitude of ‘Hollywood’ we are lucky that they aren’t impplying (so far) that the head bad guys aren’t Haliburton or some other ‘evil-white-american-capitalists’.
