OK, let me take that back, I will give honora and rayvet another chance to expain themselves…..

We live in a very dangerous, complex world.

All of our top security meetings and the way we gather intelligence is not open to the NYTIMES, regardless of the leakers…….

The point is, we don’t want to tip our hand as to what we know, because we don’t want the “bad guys” to know what we know, until it is too late……. simple enough for you?

Harping, complaining, protesting, marching, go ahead, knock yourself out, but realize we have a very savy enemy that uses your faces and words, edits them to propogandize a media controlled populous.

Oh, you didn’t think about that….. apparently.

You are in their history books, their papers, their cartoons, their CNN. And no, you will not get a royalty… just infamy, your words, your picture, for your family, if they get the chance, to read and see and hide from.

There is a point “why” our meetings with our allies are held in secret.

rayvet and honora, let me ask you this question….. if you are playing a football game, would it be wise to give the opposing team not only your game plan, but communications into your team as the game is being played? As well as having the cheer leaders to have the home team support the opposition?

And if you did, thinking that you would have the same access, and they blocked your transmissions, gave you a faulty game plan, and then beat you……… would you complain?

As for Honora, she must despise hanging with her ilk. Or she spends an awful lot of time on political threads. I doubt the latter. She’s really just becoming atmosphere. Did the Taliban really know Cheney was at Bagram? Two different spokesmen from the group claim they did, but there’s no way to tell if it was just lucky timing and they’re taking credit opportunistically.

The question is worth asking, from the standpoint of our aim to understand as well as we can what really happened. However, it seems just and often advantageous to the country to retaliate harshly against a group that even merely claims to have tried to assassinate a President or Vice President. I wonder if it’s not just as important to do so in the case of a falsified claim as in the case of one that’s been verified.
