[...] That’s stupid. Plus, Cheney wasn’t even supposed to be at Bagram on the day it was attacked; by his own admission he stayed there for an extra day only after bad weather forced him to postpone his trip to Kabul. For Osama to have ordered the hit, a tipster inside Bagram would have needed to be privy to Cheney’s sudden change of plans, relayed the information somehow — presumably by courier — to Osama’s purported HQ in the Pakistani tribal areas, and then the order itself would have had to have been sent somehow to the bomber, who’d naturally need some time to prepare. All in the span of about 18 hours. Ain’t happening unless Osama’s using a cell phone, and I think it’s safe to say he isn’t. Makes for some good boogeyman propaganda, though.

OBL was long ago eliminated by the Cheney hit team…OBL knew too much, and could not be permitted to live.

Paul Wellstone knew too much about Cheney, too. He knew Cheney was lying about Iraq ad 911. So the Cheney team “neutralized” him.

If they would kill Senator Wellstone (and how many others), d’ya think they would not wipe out OBL within months of 911 to cover their own butts? They killed Saddam for the same reason…he had too much documented proof against cheney-bushco and bush41, and probably he knew the truth about 911, too. That’s why all the computers and paper files were destroyed by “looters” when our troops moved into Baghdad

I love this stuff, I really do.

PinkyBigglesworth, you didn't address any issues that I have with being friends with a Muslim country like Pakistan. My comment was to be interpreted that we should not be trusting these primitive societies to be our allies in the war on terror. Period. There's no such thing as the lesser of two evils. Evil is evil period. Yes I have a 7 year old girl, and as soon as she's old enough to understand, I plan on explaining to her that there's no such thing as a good Muslim community or society and she needs to be aware of that while she's growing up. In the short time I've read and contributed to this site (only a few months), I've read and agreed with a lot of your posts, but this last one I'm not really sure I understand. So you think that my point of view that we should not trust and be allied with the Pakistani regime is dangerous? Sorry, I don't buy that. Our belief that we can have Muslim allies is dangerous in my mind. There's no such thing. I'm not sure if you misread my post or have confused me with someone else, but the bottom line is we need to wake the world up to the fact that the Muslim and Islamic practices do not agree with the rest of the worlds desires to live in peace and harmony. Hell, it doesn't even profess tolerance. So don't attack my philosophies because I don't see the point in being friend with these barbarians. Please do a better job of explaining to me how my point of view and philosophy is dangerous. I want to fight for our survival, and putting our faith in the likes of Mussharaf is a misdirected alliance.

Sorry folks, as far as I’m concnerned, Honora is dead on with her take on Musharraf.

rayvet on February 27, 2007 at 4:52 PM

Well, agian, I have to disagree.

OK, let me take that back, I will give honora and rayvet another chance to expain themselves.....

We live in a very dangerous, complex world.

All of our top security meetings and the way we gather intelligence is not open to the NYTIMES, regardless of the leakers.......

The point is, we don't want to tip our hand as to what we know, because we don't want the "bad guys" to know what we know, until it is too late....... simple enough for you?

Harping, complaining, protesting, marching, go ahead, knock yourself out, but realize we have a very savy enemy that uses your faces and words, edits them to propogandize a media controlled populous.

Oh, you didn't think about that..... apparently.

You are in their history books, their papers, their cartoons, their CNN. And no, you will not get a royalty... just infamy, your words, your picture, for your family, if they get the chance, to read and see and hide from.

If you change your mind when your throat is getting cut, and "you have a moment of clarity before you die" or not, it does not matter. Your "school yard politics" have sealed your fait.

There is a point "why" our meetings with our allies are held in secret.

rayvet and honora, let me ask you this question..... if you are playing a football game, would it be wise to give the opposing team not only your game plan, but communications into your team as the game is being played? As well as having the cheer leaders to have the home team support the opposition?

And if you did, thinking that you would have the same access, and they blocked your transmissions, gave you a faulty game plan, and then beat you......... would you complain?

This world is not a college campus debate club, your points of view, in my opinion, are very dangerous, to the safety of the United States of America.

One last question, do you have any children? I do, and THAT is why I choose to fight for our survival!

Other points of view are always welcome......... with Respect to all.

s/b answer - correction.

Also, reaganaut, aside from that Huffpoos' take, I do believe that OBL is no more, but not because of the secrets, just simply because these two buildings in NY are no more.

Speaking of communist pigs. On days like this when you read what they are seriously thinking and writing down for the world to see... did we really win the cold war? I'm wondering. I think we've been overtaken.

Are our communist college professors taking our country down? Year by year? Graduation class by graduation class?

What a great thread of comments and insight. Several here are hitting on all cylinders. Even the comedy is above average. As well as the deprevity as usual. Kinda the whole book on Musharraf.

Now compare this thread with one of the average lefty-havens? If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what does. It's a shame though... I've realized that their breed aren't ever going to understand that which speak volumes. Just makes me hope for war. With them. Ha-ha just kidding.

Not really. No, no, no just kidding. ;) Buy guns just in case.

As for Honora, she must despise hanging with her ilk. Or she spends an awful lot of time on political threads. I doubt the latter. She's really just becoming atmosphere. Not impactful enough to encourage a seeker and obvious enough to those with a positive information flow. Her comedy wasn't that bad and at least she's not openly wishing for Dick's death.

Dick Cheney is my hero. The best VP ever in our history to not reach the potus pulpit. A wonderful man. I worry for him and his family. The man literally livbe to serve. If he really retires he'll go fast and then all the communist pigs will have their wish.

Her comedy wasn’t that bad and at least she’s not openly wishing for Dick’s death.

Dick Cheney is my hero. The best VP ever in our history to not reach the potus pulpit. A wonderful man. I worry for him and his family. The man literally livbe to serve. If he really retires he’ll go fast and then all the communist pigs will have their wish.

.

That is a classic. This is what the liberal leftist Dems actually believe.

All you Dems who cruise through here, this is your party...enjoy it. This is the mindset that is part of your political party...enjoy it.
I sure am.

The behavior of these liberal Democrats makes me want to sic my dog on them.

They are dogs.

Nice, I just got through a anti-Cheney thread at Huffpo, where OBL was being more respected. This post about sums it up:

OBL was long ago eliminated by the Cheney hit team...OBL knew too much, and could not be permitted to live.

Paul Wellstone knew too much about Cheney, too. He knew Cheney was lying about Iraq ad 911. So the Cheney team "neutralized" him.

If they would kill Senator Wellstone (and how many others), d'ya think they would not wipe out OBL within months of 911 to cover their own butts? They killed Saddam for the same reason...he had too much documented proof against cheney-bushco and bush41, and probably he knew the truth about 911, too. That's why all the computers and paper files were destroyed by "looters" when our troops moved into Baghdad.

That's cruelty to animals and I'll report you to the SPCA!

The best way for us to minimize the ME and it's influence on US politics is to get off the ME oil teet. Alternative fuels, domestic oil, etc.

Yeah, I know...fantasy land!

India doesn't trust Pakistan as far it is can throw it, but they still have found common ground on which to work with Musharraf. They'll get hit first and hardest by anything coming from that direction, so it's very worthwhile keeping an eye on what they do and say. The tribal areas have never been under Pakistan central governmental control, ever. Who's to say it isn't easier right now to proclaim them somewhat independent? That way, everyone gets a chance to play it how they want. Including womping them without interfering in Pakistan's no-longer-internal affairs. Jury should be out on this one until we see how it plays out.
It was brilliant diplomacy to put out to the world, "You are with us or against us. No third option." It forced nations to decide which side of the line they were on. It produced eye-opening results. How many people would have guessed Pakistan would work with us, but not Germany or France? Every single nation on the planet works in its own self-interest. It's only the US that gets criticized for it.

Did the Taliban really know Cheney was at Bagram? Two different spokesmen from the group claim they did, but there’s no way to tell if it was just lucky timing and they’re taking credit opportunistically.

The question is worth asking, from the standpoint of our aim to understand as well as we can what really happened. However, it seems just and often advantageous to the country to retaliate harshly against a group that even merely claims to have tried to assassinate a President or Vice President. I wonder if it's not just as important to do so in the case of a falsified claim as in the case of one that's been verified.

The response of the left was predictable, unfortunately.

CJ at LGF makes the issue of liberal disapointment perfectly clear:

And it’s even sicker than it appears at first glance, because many of these freaks want to see Cheney dead so that he can’t become president if someone assassinates President Bush.

Michelle notes that Huffpoop "closed" the comments after *437* of them.

The sickness of liberal obessesion has not abated on the left. In fact it has grown to only become like a gangrene, killing off any good life amongst the poisonous rot.
