Video: Passenger on flying imams’ flight speaks out

KSTP in Minneapolis has been hyping this since at least Tuesday afternoon, when the first e-mail about it arrived in our inbox. It finally aired tonight so I feel obliged to post, even though there’s no denying it’s a letdown. The one intriguing tidbit has to do with the State Department’s interest; presumably there’s an expired visa somewhere in the mix. They didn’t pursue it so we’ll have to guess.

The part about Shahin having led a seminar on “Imams and Media” at the conference two days earlier is noteworthy, too. Or would be, if it were true. Which it isn’t. His photo does appear above a description of that topic on page 4 of the conference program, but the schedule on page 3 says it was someone else who led the discussion.

Not a huge deal — the subject was clearly fresh in his mind, even if he wasn’t moderating the panel — but sloppy reporting nonetheless.

There’s an “extended interview” with the mystery passenger on the KSTP website, which is worth checking if only to see what qualifies as “extended” in Minneapolis. He’s pretty emphatic about the imams having been treated respectfully by the cops, though, so I suppose it’s worth checking for that, too.

Update: Forgot to mention — did you notice on page 3 of the program who led the discussion of “Imams and Politics”? See-Dub comments.

These sorts of hyped local news stories are always let downs. In fact, the more hyped they are, the more contrived it is. If they truely had something new to report, it would have already been reported as news since it’s doubtful that the news would have been able to be suppressed for so long.

Oh, those poor oppressed Muslims! We should really feel sympathy for them, even though they want to kill us…

infidel4life on February 23, 2007 at 1:37 AM

OK……… Here’s a test, next time you get on a plane, very loudly say “Hi, Jack!”

See how soon you are treated respectfully by the cops….

Tell that to the Imans!

Planned, staged, act of subversion to let us give them an upper hand to strike even harder the next time. Cower the oppressive American public sheeple into extending their throats to be cut…….. yeah, treat them with respect.

How about following our laws?

Never mind, if they are considered “racists and oppressive” like our immigration laws, like the liberals and illegal aliens, they can selectively follow them…..

No story here, folks, go about your business, move along…. move along….

“But what about Able Danger?”

“Arrest that Man!”…….

Sorry Allah. I was one of those that e-mailed you about this. How ridiculous of me to think that the local Massafornia media would do anything that might stir up our ‘guests’.

Anyone aware of lawsuits filed by passengers? Infliction of emotional distress, etc.? I’ve been waiting but never heard anything.

They set up a “cry wolf” scenerio and got what they wanted. Despite all the “false positive” events they set up to get us to not resist, we should always be suspicious and stay prepared to react immediately, like the passengers in the Richard”shoe bomber” Reed flight.

We saw this in Minnesota and just about dropped our jaws in disbelief. KSTP has gutted their successful conservative AM1500 talks shows. A year or two ago one of the Hubbards got caught with his pants down in Chicago with the confrontation question on why his station only shows bad news from Iraq. Immediately after KSTP gutted its Iraq news stories from the web site.

If the rest of you didn’t miss it, the video ends with the promise of getting to see the rest of the Imams victim’s interview. It hasn’t been posted and I doubt it ever will be. KSTP-TV news director Chris Berg will see to that.

Regardless this was the best story done yet on these Muslim terrorist supporting media grabbing liars. Fantastic!

Bill you are right. Oddly enough I was at the airport when this went down. If myself or my family had been on that flight I’d file a lawsuit and public praise for the airline.

Dennis Miller said it best

“Destroy us if you must. Just don’t play us for chumps.”

I’d like to see those six immams act that way on a domestic flight in Saudi Arabia.
