The government can not punish you for a crime until they prove you are guilty. If they can not prove you guilty they do not find you innocent, merely not-guilty. If one has done something one is guilty of doing it. The courts have no time machine where the can go back and change history.

Someone is guilty when they commit the deed.

This guy was found with forbidden images. He is guilty of having forbidden images. Now if the government can prove they found him with forbidden images, they can punish him for having forbidden images. The only way for him to be innocent of having forbidden images, is to turn back time and have him not show the cops his forbidden images because this time he had no forbidden images (because he went further back in time and did not collect the forbidden images).

I hope that the investigation rescues those children and gets to the producers of those videos. Since they’re probably in corrupt lawless countries whose legal system can’t be relied upon, I hope that they’re just executed or assassinated.

I’m glad to hear that there is such an international investigation happening at all. Frankly, I’m surprised. Usually, the world doesn’t seem to care much about the exploitation of children in third world hellholes.

As for this guy: throw the book at him. But remember there are damaged, evil people like this all through politics and all through life.
