Gathering of Eagles

Charles at Age of Hooper checked out the press conference and counter protest, ANSWER vs sane patriots, in DC yesterday. He has videos, pics, commentary, the whole nine. The interviews with Richard Becker are especially entertaining. Becker’s brother Brian is the leader of International ANSWER, the group that’s been patiently building the anti-war movement since the afternoon of 09-11-01. Charles pesters Becker, bugs him and to my ear catches him in a bald faced lie about ANSWER’s connections to Communism.
Check it all out here. (link fixed)
The Gathering of Eagles march is March 17. Michelle has more details on that.

I am very happy to see this here. You must go to our GoE web page. I will be in DC with my brothers and sisters as part of this effort.
The Gathering of Eagles is not just a few Vets getting together to fend off the masses. There will be thousands.
Please join us in our show of strength against the Fonda’s, Sheehan’s, and all the commie A**holes.

I can’t make it to D.C. However, my wife and I will convoy with the caravan from Raleigh to Richmond on Thursday March 15.
See if you live close to the route.

This is something that I have strong feelings about. I was with a group on the national mall that was roped off by ANSWER green shirts and, a pregnant woman pushed to the ground, in 2003 during an ANSWER rally.
I was also with a group of counter protestors in NY in 2004 that were physically assaulted by ANSWER “green hats”. I watched a man be choked to his knees right on Madison Ave. by supporters of ANSWER thugs. My husband and son were attacked by ANSWER thugs in a rally in 2004 and a “green hat” accused them of assault and wanted them arrested.
Allahpundit knows that during the RNC a group of NYCLU came to our meeting place and wanted to ARREST me for the signs we had. I sent Allah the pix way back when…
This rally that is being organized in D.C. to counter the anti war protestors is the first time I have heard of several different elements coming together to state our point of view. I ask that anyone that is able, come to D.C. in March and stand up for our opinion. If you don’t, it will be the same news coverage that you have grown to hate…
I am looking forward to seeing Rolling Thunder and a Gathering of Eagles non-violently standing up for what they believe. Will you be there?
Babs on February 23, 2007 at 9:35 AM
You know Allah, you should rerun some of the reports I sent you about previous rallys so that you readers could understand just how obnoxious ANSWER really is.

If you can’t make it here is the GOE link. Go to the GOE store..every little bit helps.

i’ll be there.

I’ve never been to one of these rallies…but you know what? There is no way in Hell or on God’s green earth that I’m going to let those scumbags TOUCH that memorial. My father served in Vietnam…and any damage would be very personal to me. So, I’m making arrangements now to be there. Hey, TugboatPhil…you in Raleigh too??
Btw, my father does a lot of functions with Rolling Thunder, and I’m thrilled they’re taking part. Let’s see ANSWER make a move at a bunch of bikers!! Sad day in Commieville….. Go Gathering Of Eagles!!

re: communist ties – he’s being cute. the wwp isn’t quite identical to cpusa. good as a lie depending on the audience. somewhere down the road a third party would quote him with full knowlege framing it as “well let’s see what someone actually involved with answer says…”

Here are some of the lefties that are pushing the anti-war crowd March 17:

No, I’m up on the Blue Ridge in Virginia. We thought about going down for the Charlotte to Raleigh leg the day before, but it will be dark by then. I want my 5′x8′ flag to show, from the back of my smoky ol’ Dodge diesel pickup (which my wife has lovingly named The Global Warmer!)
TugboatPhil on February 23, 2007 at 11:07 AM
TugboatPhil…well, you just go on with that Global Warmer!! I may not be able to join the caravan because of a daily work conference call I run, but if I can get going early, I’ll look for you. I’ll be in a little white toyota celica – doing my own little part for global warming!
Cheers, Y’all!!
tickleddragon on February 23, 2007 at 12:01 PM
I can’t wait to get there my husband and 21 and 18 year old sons will be present and accounted for. I have been spreading the news to anyone and everyone. We cannot wait to stand with those who stand with America.
Rightmom on February 23, 2007 at 12:03 PM
LOL Limerick,
Looks like Edwards missed a group.
“The national coalition for hotel rooms for dogs in heat.” Government funded of course.
When you look at the groups that they say are “walking” for “peace” it looks like most are marching for their own special interest. Hum, has a government ring to it “Special Interest”
See ya’ll at the Wall.

I will be flying back from Hawaii that evening but have already sent some of the proceeds from the sale of our home to GOE. We both wish we could be there to be with the real patriots who will be protecting that which is so dear.
I hope the coverage we see reflects that of the true patriots although I fear the stinky commies will get all the press. I despise commies & the peace groups. Maybe it’s a good thing I won’t be there-I read the mission statement and not sure I couldn’t get violent and I wouldn’t want to do anything untowards.
BTW wonder if all our resident libs will be there?
Catie96706 on February 23, 2007 at 12:29 PM
Catie96706,
I do know that we have people flying all the way in from Hawaii to attend. We have already started to get air time on both radio and TV.
These are great organizations involved in this. The libs may have awoken a sleeping giant.

The very first time since I retired that I’ll regret not being on the East Coast. It would have been so easy to link up with the caravan at Richmond from VA Beach.
Hmm, anyone know the chances of catching a space-a from San Diego to Andrews on four weeks notice?
Freelancer on February 23, 2007 at 1:38 PM
Freelancer: The Peaceniks are also demonstrating in L.A…..might be a pro-war group there that is planning on attending their rally. Just a thought.
Limerick on February 23, 2007 at 1:41 PM
I have already booked my flight. See you there.
CourtZero on February 23, 2007 at 2:45 PM
Regretfully, I can’t be there with the rest. However, know that those that can make it have my full support.
Along this line, though, also be aware of the opposition. Notably is Cindy Sheehan Labels Viet Nam Veterans “Rightist Haters of America”
Just be ready for Momma Moonbat and her minions, trying to make even the anti-war nonsense all about her.

If you can’t go there, like me, and I’m sure most of us, then perhaps you could send them a few bucks to help out with the cost. I just did that via PayPal, quick and painless. The donate link is midway down, on the right, on this page. Or you can go directly to your PayPal account and send the money to “kit@gatheringofeagles.org”.
