If I’d asked you to guess which show would put this crap into orbit, which one would you have guessed?
Right.

I hate Lou Dobbs with a passion, he’s a complete economic and business fool.
jp on February 22, 2007 at 11:42 PM
Again. No debate. No conflicting info. No arguing the points.
Just the usual blind mockery shoot and run.
Gregor on February 22, 2007 at 11:45 PM
Illegal immigration is a huge problem, but the North American Union is bunk.
elpresidente on February 22, 2007 at 11:45 PM
Isn’t it about time for Lou to retire again?
d1carter on February 22, 2007 at 11:47 PM
John Hawkins has written several solid posts debunking it. I linked one right here in this very post; I’ve linked to others in the past. There’s plenty of argument and conflicting info there.
Funny how no one complains about the “lack of debate” when I do quick-take goofs on 9/11 Truthers.
Allahpundit on February 22, 2007 at 11:48 PM
That’s a perfect description of Dobbs show.
forged rite on February 22, 2007 at 11:50 PM
I thought Gregor’s comment was towards Lou Dobbs, not allahpundit?
jp on February 22, 2007 at 11:51 PM
Wrong. Basically all Hawkins did is what you do. He resorts to mockery and name calling. His idea of “evidence” amounts to making phone calls to the those who are accused of being involved and then saying “see? They said it’s not true.”
Your idea of a “solid post” amounts to nothing more than Hawkins saying it’s not so.
Please give me one example of a Corsi claim which Hawkins actually debunked, rather than simply state that it’s not true.
The comparison to 9/11 debunking is not even close. With 9/11 truthers, it’s incredibly easy to pick apart each claim with photos, documents, and eye witnesses. With the NAU, it’s actually the opposite. It’s incredibly easy to pick apart Hawkins’ claims with photos, documents, and eye witnesses. Hawkins offers nothing, and neither do you.
Gregor on February 22, 2007 at 11:57 PM
How so? He goes into detail, displaying dates, names, documents, and eye witnesses. Allah or Hawkins refuse to debate a single point, other than to just say “it isn’t so.”
Gregor on February 22, 2007 at 11:59 PM
Maybe because it hurts too much that a supposedly conservative President apparently is selling the country’s soul out from under it?
I’m not saying the story is true but I don’t see how it’s not a topic that’s debatable given the amount of evidence for it.
Benaiah on February 23, 2007 at 12:05 AM
Well, the minute low paid Mexican drivers start taking jobs away from American truck drivers, transfer warehouses etc, the real danger of this will be evident.
Is there proof? Not really. But suggesting that people who think there is a real concern here are akin to the 9/11 conspiracy moonbats is disengenuous. We do have an example of US corporations sending US jobs to another country….it was called NAFTA.
After all our manufacturing jobs are gone, all that will be left is service jobs. Well, gardening, hotel service, food service, etc, have mostly gone to people who accept lower pay for the same job. Who cares? Well, we all will when skilled labor jobs are being taken by Mexicans who do as good a job but cheaper, and the company pockets the profits instead of passing them on. When your plumber, electrician, and mechanic are getting paid a lower wage american citizens will do what job and keep their standard of living?
This is a slippery slope. We need to oppose ANY program that allows mexicans to be free to take any job they can get after they are here.
I have seen it with my own eyes. Not all immigrants work in the fields.
csdeven on February 23, 2007 at 12:08 AM
How so?
Gregor on February 22, 2007 at 11:59 PM
You complained of no debate, that’s exactly what Dobbs does. He may go into detail, but it’s all one sided. Go here and see if you find any conflicting info. The few times he does allow someone with an opposite opinion on his show, he does exactly what you accused of Allah of doing. He just says you’re wrong, end of story.
forged rite on February 23, 2007 at 12:09 AM
why exactly would Chinese ships need to dock in Mexico and then have goods shipped by truck ( Mexican trucks!) to Canada?
All this super-scary-secret conspiracy stuff just to provide make-work for Mexican long haul drivers?
billy on February 23, 2007 at 12:10 AM
Detail of what? That the State Department and other Executive branches are meeting with foreign officials, and maybe even *gasp* negotiating trade agreements?
B Moe on February 23, 2007 at 12:14 AM
Dobbs has been talking about the NAU forever. You’re really on top of this subject, Allah! No wonder you’re so certain about it!
Hey, remember when you doubted the Ramos beating story? Never followed up on that, did you…
Alex K on February 23, 2007 at 12:14 AM
The problem isn’t that it’s one-sided. The problem is that Hawkins or Allah offer nothing. Zero! They refuse to debate the facts other than to say that someone told them it’s not true. Meanwhile, we all sit and watch with our eyes as everything Dobbs says becomes reality. It’s like Michael Moore repeating over and over … “there is no terrorist threat.”
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 12:19 AM
And how many times did Allah apologize for the Jamil Hussein story simply because the AP said they had confirmed the story through an “unidentified” source? We all know how THAT turned out.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 12:23 AM
Well that’s exactly the point. Our feckless politicians are selling out American workers with these so-called “free trade” agreements.
I’ve had it with our spineless “leaders.” We need real patriots again, like these two.
billy on February 23, 2007 at 12:23 AM

Senate illegals bill near complete
By Charles Hurt
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Published February 22, 2007
Senators and lobbyists are putting the final touches on a comprehensive immigration-reform bill that includes an easier citizenship path for illegal aliens and weaker enforcement provisions than were in the highly criticized legislation that the Senate approved last year.
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, the Massachusetts Democrat who ardently supports citizenship rights for illegals, will introduce the bill as early as next week, according to Senate sources knowledgeable about the negotiations. If the Senate Judiciary Committee can make quick work of the bill, it could be ready for floor action in April.
Mr. Kennedy drafted this year’s bill with help from Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and outside lobbyists. Mr. McCain and the outside groups share Mr. Kennedy’s support for increased immigration and leniency for illegals already in the country.

The announcement about bilingual school teachers to teach the Mexican kids is outrageous!
My wife came here at eight years of age and outperformed her black, Hispanic, and Caucasian peers, as did her sisters and brother and cousins.
My wife’s cousin cam to the US from Taiwan at six years of age, barely able to speak English.
She attended a public school in Philadelphia which did NOT provide any assistance to her in translation in order to help her to understand the material in her classes. Her father and mother helped her with her homework.
She did not do well in school to start, but she did pass her classes. The next year she earned As in her classes.
This bilingual business is crap! It is catering to a specific preferred group and is a burden on everyone else, while allowing the preferred group to avoid blending with the country and culture in which they live, but expecting the country and culture in which they live to bend to THEIR dictates!
When my wife was graduating high school, she and her Asian-Oriental friends were refused grants for minorities because they, as Asians-Orientals did not qualify as a minority for those free grants, but blacks, Hispanics, and “Native Americans” qualified as minorities for free government grants for minorities.
Nevertheless, she and her friends went on to college, worked their way through, taking jobs on the side and studying rather than going off and partying. They outperformed their black, Hispanic, and Caucasian peers in scholastic performance in grade school, and high school, and continued to outperform their black, Hispanic, and Caucasian peers in college entrance to graduation rates.
They went on to earn their degrees, get jobs, earn a good living, and many now are married, have families, homes, the works.
The whole “preferred minorities” business is nonsense! If people whose culture and language is so removed from our own can outperform blacks, Hispanics, and Caucasians in a culture which is more aligned with us, what excuse is there for our not producing as well? What excuse is there for granting bilingual teachers when Chinese, Indian, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese children outperform their Spanish speaking peers while their Spanish speaking peers get Spanish speaking teachers and the Asian-Oriental students don’t?
I hope for the day when this nonsense is no more!

Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act?! OMG! Bring back the Great Depression! What a deeply idiotic idea.
Dobbs is off his rocker. And Alex Jones is a scumbag con-man who’s been fleecing idiots from his compound in Austin, Texas for decades. The guy is a regular guest on Art Bell’s Coast to Coast AM radio show for schizophrenics and insomniac retards. He’s been peddling this particular conspiracy theory for over 15 years.
It just keeps evolving as reality demands. He also thinks shapeshifting lizard people are in league with the Zionists to rule the world. This is his baby and has been for a long time. Subscribe to his website and you too can discover the crown prince of Spain’s plans to own the highways of America and to turn them all into toll roads. Plus 9-11 was an inside job by the “globalists”. This stuff is white-power militia meeting leftovers.
How can there be so many profoundly stupid people buying this crap?
The Apologist on February 23, 2007 at 1:38 AM
Lou Dobbs has lost his mind! CNN must have idiots for producers. I doubt Dobbs will be talking about this again. The response will hopefully cause them to do their homework.
The idea of wielding influence on Mexico’s economy and society is a necessity. Anything to reduce the urge to violate our borders, even a step sideways - bringing Chinese manufacturing to Mexico, would be helpful.
But to suggest that an American Union with these poor underdeveloped countries is a joke. We already have a union of states, thank you.
Agrippa2k on February 23, 2007 at 1:54 AM
It’s amazing how all the never before seen screen IDs just magically appear every time there’s a post on border security or the NAU. And they all happen to sound exactly the same, yelling words like “fools, idiots, off his rocker, stupid, retards, truthers, bunk, of course … nutjobs.”
But whats even more telling is how they all manage to spout their insults while never managing to point out a single factual inaccuracy in any of the NAU claims.
Not one.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 2:37 AM
Is there something in this clip that has been debunked or am I supposed to dismiss any talk of North American integration as soon as I hear it?
We are importing Mexico’s criminals now, and I mean transporting them here on purpose, prosecuting them and incarcerating them on our dime for crimes they did in Mexico. That is, some of their drug kingpins who weren’t government sanctioned.
If we have already integrated the justice system, why should I believe we aren’t in the process of integrating other things?
Perchant on February 23, 2007 at 2:44 AM
And that’s an interesting point. As I noted above, you can scan through the many threads on this topic and you’ll find literally hundreds of links to factual evidence supporting a politial move to erase our borders, but not a single example of anything inaccurate in any of the accusations made regarding the NAU. Why is that?
To use Allah’s own example …
Funny how no one has a lack of links and evidence to debunk 9/11 Truthers, but although they love to compare the NAU theories to 9/11 conspiracies … they suddenly shoot blanks.
And then we get “stupid, idiotic, foolish” posts from Allah regarding Johnny Sutton, such as this:
You just need to open your eyes and suddenly the fog will go away.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 2:52 AM
Because Allah says so.
Because Hawkins says so.
Because Johnny Sutton says so.
And because Robert Pastor says so.
And we all know, if they say so … it’s fact, regardless of what you see in front of your face.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 2:55 AM
Goodness we go round and round about this crap.
1) Allah gives the “Truther” label to anyone that evens thinks about calling attention to this issue, then characterizes the arguement for the Amero as replacing the dollar. Can you say strawman?
2) Someone that beleives we are headed for an EU style government uses alot of the wrong arguements.
I’ll only add two little points that the “debunkers never seem to mention:
Trilateral agreements are also called… International treaties. To enter to them they have to stand a vote in the Senate. These agreements are subject to oversight. I stake in the “NAU truthers” heart would be Senate oversight. Simple as that. But you won’t hear that mention by a “debunker”. Matter of fact I’ll bet a debunker quotes the SPP’s site. “Look ma we don’t want no NAU, we are just working with the Commerce Dept, we aren’t going to anything unconstitutional.” Its not like the Commerce Dept has been used to ease around Congress in the past…Uh-un never.
The Amero is not going to replace the dollar sheesh (Please stop saying that Allah) What it is going to replace is the Peso. How exactly are all these trilateral agrements going to be facilitated? Lots of peso floating arond the international banking system? Well with American and Canadian companies having large holdings in Mexico how will they do business on a large scale internationally? Ever heard of CAFTA? Yeah Central American is not going to want in when Mexico seals its Southern border tighter than a drum. Having an Amero to consolidate Pesos, Bolivars, Queztals, Cordobas and the like is to our advantage. Having a tradeable currency that is subservient to the dollar would be great. But I do not expect to see any mention of this LIKELY scenario talked about by the “debunkers.”
Theworldisnotenough on February 23, 2007 at 2:56 AM
That’s because it’s a conspiracy and we’re all part of the illuminati and we’re out to get you. Now me and Rummy need to go on Priceline and book our tickets to the next Bilderberg meeting to come up with a way to silence you.

Who is this “we” you say has established. Established means something is stated and built on facts and with a foundation. Show me the facts that “we” have established, aside from sarcastic denial and mockery of anyone who might think this subject at the very least bears some citizen vigilance.
It appears to be quite a bit more than “advocating growing business…around and maintaining an existing highway.”
But don’t take my word for it. The Texas Department of Transporation has a lot to say about it.

Unless, of course, the official website of the state of Texas is too full of wacky conspiracy for you.
thebaldchick on February 23, 2007 at 9:13 AM
For the life of me, I don’t understand why some of you think that everything Lou Dobbs says is left winged! Even Tom Tancredo has been warning about the NAU, and of course some overlook the planned super-highway thru the center of the U.S. and also overlook the building of port facilities in Mexico to by-pass the coastal U.S. port facilities. (Could be the labor costs of dock workers?)
Stick your head in the sand if you must, but America has lost enough labor force jobs to NAFTA, etc. How much can we take before people wise up?
Why do the unions love it as well?
Think about it, and wonder why Teddy Kennedy is having his immigration bill mostly written by the big business interests? Sounds like more undercutting of the middle class wages to me.

Already being done
Already being done.

BINGO! Open borders!
So, for all you who claim this is all just fantasy. Please point out a single step in the “plan” which is not currently taking place, and if all the “steps” are currently taking place … please explain what you base your opinion on that we’re all just nutjobs.
People like Allah and Hawkins will tell you that this is “only a suggestion” and that it doesn’t mean our government will follow the path. Unfortunately, as you can see … it would seem the path is being followed step for step, regardless of what Robert Pastor or Tony Snow would tell you.

Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 12:51 PM
The real question is who wrote it.
Slublog on February 23, 2007 at 1:04 PM
If there is a group in our gov’t working on this I am not particulared concerned. The idea has no constiuency.
I am for NAFTA and it has been a success. Free trade is a good idea and it brings more benefits than costs. I am against an open border which is hugely disruptive to our society imposing costs on the vast majority and benefits only to those who want to pay less for labor.
When our nation has such an obvious problem with a rather simple solution it is easy to imagine that there are people in high places who want the problem to persist rather than it being simple inertia. There is a paranoid style in American politics. (See William Jennings Bryan.)
It is not surprising to see this develop and it is a shame because it distracts from the task at hand. Building a wall and going after businesses that hire illegals is not brain surgery but pushing a paranoid agenda allows the business interests to portray those who are opposed to open borders as nuts and that will diminish the amount of support we get from the American people.
Please think about it.
Bill C on February 23, 2007 at 1:13 PM

It would seem that you have plenty of reason to be concerned, especially being that every other suggestion made so far has been implemented and documented.

Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 1:26 PM
Hey Guys,
The Security and Prosperity Partnership Of North America (spp.gov) is real. Pull your heads out of the sand. There is no cogent argument to claim that it’s a conspiracy, unlike the 9/11 truthers.
Where’s the 9/11 conspiracy web site put out by the government like spp.gov? Where’s the conspiracy talked about at CFR meetings, like the spp? Where are the meetings of top government officials that truthers can point to like we can with the spp? And can anyone figure out our attitude at the border???
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t trust the Communist News Network or Lou Dobbs. I don’t even believe Lou Dobbs when he says this is outrageous, it’s just an opportunity to plug away at Bush — but to his benefit, this happens to be true, and it’s being pushed by every liberal at the CFR.
Bush 41, unlike Reagan, took advice from the UN and pulled out of Gulf War 1. Bush 43 took a tougher stand on terrorism, but he also has a positive view of Internationalism, also unlike Reagan.
We’ve been supporting Bush 110% only to be disappointed domestically (outside of tax cuts) and this is exactly why. Unlike liberals that just want to see this country destroyed and overrun with socialism, Bush thinks this makes economic sense for a future world economy. Although, Bush is not a traitor like liberals, he’s playing this hand in common with them.
We need to recognize this and clean up the GOP and get the Reaganites back in charge, period!
jeffersonschild on February 23, 2007 at 1:42 PM
Whao slublog, good link. I won’t be linking to anymore Corsi articles.
But, with the refusal to make English as the official language of the US, enforce our borders or our laws as they pertain to illegals, and the incredible pandering to illegals in our hospitals, schools, welfare programs, banks, jails, and infrastructure (having street signs in spanish, grocery store signs, etc.) it’s hard for me to believe that our government doesn’t have a larger plan for the idiotic policies they’ve been upholding.
NTWR on February 23, 2007 at 1:44 PM
Actually, I find it more frightening to think they’re winging this - it would almost be a relief to think there’s some grand plan, instead of politicians simply shifting with the demographic winds.

Gregor,
I think it is too late for any of us to stop it. These idiots who still support Bush, even after he had told them to drop dead will never admit what is happening. They are like our congress, they cannot see what is to come in the future. They cannot begin to appreciate that their “hero” Bush has sold them out. He has taken the side of Mexico over and over again. Nafta has helped us??? PULLEEZE There are hardly any Americans left who believe that except Corporate CEOS who get millions to retire subsidized by Americans who are footing the bill for their illegal labors welfare costs.
Mellen on February 23, 2007 at 2:03 PM
What I cannot figure out is the denial by my fellow forum members that usually are able to use their crtical thinking skills to debate the issues.
Allah has only linked to Corsi once in the time that I have been a forum member here even though many here have been providing links to Corsi going back a year.
What I object to is the framing of the issue and some here trying to say this is a conspiracy. They try and link the 911 truthers to Corsi and some here have even tried to link Dr. Corsi to Alex Jones because he has posted some articles about the North American Union on his website.
Ridicule is the last resort of those who have lost the argument, as the skeptics clearly have.
There is no “conspiracy theory” here, whether about black helicopters or anything else. The evidence that supports the idea of a strategy aimed at ending U.S. sovereignty by creating a borderless world is in print, often by the authors of its own longstanding advocates, for those who can read plain English. Screaming “conspiracy theory” is nothing more than commiting a strawman (an informal fallacy of basic logic).
First, John Hawkins and the North American Union deniers have it all wrong.
They keep attacking Joseph Corsi, Phyllis Schlafly, the minuteman and many other well-respected conservatives as conspiracy theorists, wackos and much worse.
Dictionary.com defines a conspiracy as; “an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons.”
The Security and Prosperity Partnership is not being conducted in secret and the facts are on the websites of the United State Government, CFR, Texas DOT and many others if you take the time to read them. Just because the MSM does not cover, what is going on does not make it secret.
Therefore, this is where Mr. Hawkins and other detractors are completely wrong and it exposes them of being naïve about the facts of what is occurring behind closed doors but available to read if only you take the time to educate yourself.
The SPP or NAU are not a conspiracy. You can read the thousands of pages of documents on the internet at Joseph Corsi’s website, Judicial Watch, Worldnetdaily, The Eagle Forum and hundreds of others take your pick. For the heck of it I did a Google this morning on the North American Union and it resulted in over 106 million hits. Some secret.
What bothers me is what is it exactly that you object to?
Do you think that the NAU/SPP is a good idea? Do you think GWB has a right to do an end run around Congress and implement these agreements and working groups without debate?
More importantly, don’t you think we should amend the Constitution before we completely render it meaningless by allowing the WTO and UN to govern the former USA?

NAU Debunkers …
Understand the difference?
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 3:36 PM
As I stated earlier, it’s clear there’s something going on. Why does it have to be at one extreme or the other? Why, instead of attacking each other’s positions, aren’t people trying to figure out what exactly these meetings between the Bush admin and Mexico are about?
I’m interested in hearing more but I’m not drawing any conclusions until things are investigated more fully.
I certainly wouldn’t put it beyond our President to sell out this country. He’s been doing it with illegal immigration already.
Benaiah on February 23, 2007 at 4:37 PM
How’s that Cassandra complex working out for you, Gregor?
Seriously, what you’re talking about sounds more like cultural Marxism and general bureaucratic incompetence than cackling one-worlders seeking the wholesale destruction of the union. E.g.
Never ascribe to conspiracy what could more easily be explained by incompetence. I would readily agree with you that there are millions of Americans, mostly leftists, that have no real love of this nation as a nation, given that they believe themselves to be “global citizens,” but even these people have a history of opposing globalization.
Besides, given that most large American corporations have a vested interest in retaining their favored status behind the comfortable hedge of American autonomy, I find it hard to believe that there exists enough real operational force behind this beyond the trite vagaries of “international understanding.” In short, the extent to which something like this will come to pass is directly proportional to its economic necessity. Occam’s razor takes care of the rest of my argument.
spmat on February 23, 2007 at 4:48 PM
Who’s going to “investigate more fully?” We have sitting U.S. Congressmen holding press conferences trying to tell the American people what’s going on, and they are then called nutjobs and have Photoshopped pics of themselves posted on the internet by Allah. It’s not just one congressman. There are many.
And how long are we going to wait for that “investigation” to take place? Especially knowing that the Senate amnesty bill is almost complete and that once it’s signed … we’re finished.
And not one of the people mocking NAU theories can explain the reason Bush would do this, other than to suggest that the President of the United States is a complete idiot and somehow believes total amnesty to 30,000 illegals is a good thing, or that giving amnesty will somehow magically cause the Hispanic vote to switch to the GOP. You know, those same illegals who walk the streets calling Bush a Nazi. They’re going to suddenly vote Republican.
And then in the very next breath, they’ll talk about what a brilliant man he is, and how much credit he deserves. Apparently, we’re to believe that the President is brilliant, but 85% of the population is even smarter than he is.
Is that really possible, or is it more likely that he knows exactly what he’s doing but has more important agendas which force him to ignore what’s good for the country?
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 4:53 PM
Again. Because “you have a hard time believing it” … we’re all supposed to just take your word for it. You offered not one single example of anything factually inaccurate regarding this topic.
Oh wait. “Occam’s razor.”
Never mind. That explains it all. We can all relax now.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 4:57 PM
Gregor.
It’s your job to prove it.
It isn’t our job to disprove it.
You haven’t proved it.
At all.
spmat on February 23, 2007 at 5:29 PM
LOL! Interesting concept. I think you would agree that the only way to prove it would be if George Bush stood at a podium and said “we are implementing a North American Union.”
If it’s true, he’s not going to ever do that. That happens to be Hawkins’ argument, that Bush denies it, so it’s obviously not true. Classic.
How childish is that? “Prove it! Nuh uh! Huh uh! You can’t prove it!”
I don’t understand what the problem is with you people. Who really cares if we’re wrong. Every fact and point we’re using as evidence is TRUE and most of you would agree with that. Whether or not it’s being done because of some master plan is really irrelevant. It’s all going to end up having the same effect, and if you’re willing to allow that to happen based on the difference between it being a “master plan” or just the result of individual decisions … I feel for all of our children who will have to live in that world.
Even if the NAU is not the over-all plan, you should all be voting for Gingrich or Tancredo because I believe you all want secure borders, zero illegal immigration, and no amnesty. Those are the only two candidates who give you what you want, and if you’re going to use National Defense as a reason to vote for Giuliani or McCain … it makes no sense either. Both Tancredo and Gingrich would be tougher than either of them. Remember McCain on the torture issue?
Like I said, you aren’t willing to even attempt to point out a single example of an incorrect claim. There are none. And even if the intention is not to name it the NAU … it still leads to the end result which we fear.
Tell me something. Prove to me that Clinton dirtied Monica’s dress. Prove it! Prove to me that the sun is on fire. Prove to me that we landed on the moon. In fact, prove to me that today is Friday.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 5:59 PM
Spmat … I hope you’re not a Christian using that argument. If so, how hypocritical is that?
You can’t prove it, so we have to assume it doesn’t exist.
Wow.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 6:04 PM
What makes sense to me is that on Bush’s side, big business is pulling the strings. Farmers who need the cheap labor, factories, etc.
On the Left’s side it’s about creeping, socialist power. The more people that come in and expect the government to take care of their every need from cradle to grave, the more people to vote for liberals.
Stuck in the middle are the taxpaying citizens, you and me, getting screwed by both sides.
This is why a plan like the NAU would go through our government system rather smoothly. Both big business Republicans and “little guy” (who are actually big business also) Democrats approve. It’s up to the citzens to be vigilent because the government/media complex will continue feeding us Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Smears until they finish doing whatever it is they want to do at our expense.
Fighting over whether the idea of a NAU is stupid or not does nothing to help our cause. We just need to be on top of the goings-on.
NTWR on February 23, 2007 at 6:14 PM
In this thread alone there are links to official government sites, Texas govt, US embassy in Canada ect ect all confirming that this is being worked on. Are you people saying offical govenment websites have been hacked or spoofed or are you not bothering to read them before calling this a crazy conspiracy???
It is right there on a website run by the USA government including a specfic timetable recomendation that we should move to integrate all 3 countries retirement systems, allow worker mobility, borderless transportation for trade Corp., a common external border for security, a common external tarrif, expand NORAD services to Mecico ect ect ….
honestly are you doubters not reading this or what? Where is the conspiracy when it is a US govt website?

I could not agree more with your characterization of how the middle class is getting screwed.
ScottyDog on February 23, 2007 at 6:56 PM
Can someone tell me why everyone seems to be of like mind that the media lies about the war and Bush. And yet they are more than willing to consider as Presidential candidates the very people the media chooses to tout as “frontrunners”. To me if the media puts their stamp of approval on them then I will look the other way.
I would rather support Tancredo or Duncan Hunter than sany of those preening clowns highlighted by the media.
Mellen on February 23, 2007 at 7:05 PM
So you admit that this is a kind of religious obsession for you then? Good to know you’ve let that off your chest.
spmat on February 23, 2007 at 7:22 PM
For you doubters this just in;
“It’s official: Mexican trucks coming 100 companies will have unlimited access to U.S. roads”
ScottyDog on February 23, 2007 at 7:35 PM
Absolutely fantastic question. What’s even worse, we’re talking about the same people who have spent the last six years b!tch!ng and moaning about RINOS and fake conservatives, and now you see them urging us to vote for Giuliani, McCain, or Romney, lol.
Don’t put too much trust in what these people say. There are reasons why blogs are filled with comments that seem to run counter to reason.
There’s a reason you see so many new screen IDs appear out of nowhere to suddenly post on specific subjects, such as the NAU. And there are reasons why the same thing happens just prior to any election. You might remember the constant flood of comments prior to the mid-terms urging everyone to vote for independents. You might remember Allah suddenly shocking everyone with his suggestion that he would vote a straight Democratic ticket just to punish the GOP.
Coincidence?
The stock market message boards are filled with the same people, posting misinformation on various stocks in an attempt to mislead buyers or to influence prices.
This sort of misdirection and misinformation has been used as a tool throughout history. Even by the CIA and FBI.
It’s done on purpose, and it’s very effective.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 7:43 PM
ROFL! Yeah, that’s it. I definitely said that. I admitted that. It’s a religious thing for me. Yep. The NAU is all about God, lol.
Huh?
Dude! You’re killing me.
Mellen, notice how spmat is desperately trying to change the subject? His comments are not even remotely related to the subject. This isn’t by accident.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 7:48 PM
I would honestly like to know if Allahpundit bothered to click the link to the site of the American embassy in Canada above? It is pretty straighforward unless this govt website has been hacked by conspiracy theorists.
Resolute on February 23, 2007 at 9:04 PM
I posted the same link earlier, and even went as far as to copy and past two pages. I honestly believe they know what’s going on, but they own stock in a few Mexican companies or something. There comments indicate an intention to mislead, rather than honest opinion.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 9:09 PM
Grrr! “Their”
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 9:10 PM
The link is instantly compelling as soon as you read it and it is on the domain of the embassy website. IMHO Allahpundit should either come back and tell us this is an elaborate website spoof (unlikely since a google search immediatly brings you to the same site) or that he was wrong do dismiss the idea as he does.
Resolute on February 23, 2007 at 9:25 PM
Allah’s take, via Hawkins is that the task force is only a meeting of minds for the purpose of giving advice and suggestions, and that it doesn’t indicate any acceptance by our government leaders.
As I pointed out in an earlier comment, this is complete nonsense because:
1. It’s posted on the embassy websites, as you stated. Are we to believe the government wants nothing to do with this, yet they have no problem posting it on an official embassy site?
2. Anyone bothering to actually READ the document will notice that EVERY SINGLE Suggestion made regarding what needs to be done for implementation is actually taking place right now, and the ONLY suggestion remaining is in the “what needs to be done by 2010″ section which, if you’re paying attention, is currently being discussed in detail by our government.
There is not a single suggestion or step in the documentation which is not being implemented as we debate this topic.
If you read the documents on SPP.gov, which is actual legitimate government policy and agenda, they match almost identical to the suggestions made by the North American Community Task Force.
Either our government is following the recommendations of this Task Force to the letter, or it’s an unbelievably fantastic coincidence.

Wait a second. What exactly did John Hawkins “find?” There’s absolutely nothing he’s ever written which contradicts anything being said about the NAU. Zero.
Would you like to share?
Oh wait. Is this where you say you’re not going to do the work for us, LOL?! I’ve read everything John Hawkins has written on the subject and he offers nothing other than to share his personal phone conversations with Tony Snow and Robert Pastor.
Gregor on February 23, 2007 at 10:09 PM
If our government would build the damn fence and make it impossible for any illegal alien to hold a job in the US I would be more than happy to dismiss the NAU as a conspiracy theory. Does anyone think I’ll be dining on crow anytime soon? Of course not, Obama, Al Gore and Hillary love illegal aliens just as much as Giuliani and McCain and George W Bush.
Those who want to marginalize those of us who fear that a NAU is coming should consider that the EU started as nothing more than a series of trade agreements too. You should also remember that NAFTA was Jimmy Carter’s baby and Bill Clinton signed it into law in 1993. http://www.historycentral.com/Documents/Clinton/SigningNaFTA.html
I prefer to run with a better crowd.
Buzzy on February 23, 2007 at 10:30 PM
If the current undermining of the United Staes by the flood of uncontrolled illegals continues, no “union” of any kind will be likely, or possible, as Mexico’s corrupt internal chaos and Canada’s slow dissolution by foreign influences, and its slouching toward Sharia Law demonstrate.
It will be more a giant Balkanized slop bucket.
Corporate fiefdoms and entropy.
All to make the buck-uber-alles crowd happy in the fatalistic short-term.
But where they think they’ll be able to flee to with their foolishly-gained wealth is the mystery.
Switzerland?
Surrounded by an Islamic EU?
Tahiti?
Subsumed into the Islamic Republic of France.
It don’t ‘get’ the theory of: destroy your own country to make a fortune, and then have no place left to spend it.
Unless the people in the U.S. stop this flood of infil-traitors, and their suicidally-stupid enablers inside our borders, the future looks like one big Yugoslavia.
Hola! Ishallah.

Kudos for doing your homework on the beginnings of the NAU/SPP.You may be interested in a great website that has traced the beginnings of the NAU and have written in pain staking detail who all the players in the plan to destroy America as we know it
The August Review was one of the first to document how Jimmy Carter not only sold the Panama Canal but was the first Administration that appointed many CFR members to his cabinet including Robert Pastor.
“One of Carter’s first actions as President in 1977 was to appoint Zbigniew Brzezinski to the post of National Security Advisor. In turn, one of Brzezinski’s first acts was to appoint his protege, Dr. Robert A. Pastor, as director of the Office of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs. Pastor then became the Trilateral Commission’s point-man to lobby for the Canal giveaway.”
The NAU was continued by Traitor in Chief, Bill Clinton:
“In 1996, when Trilateral Commissioner Bill Clinton nominated Pastor as Ambassador to Panama, his confirmation was forcefully knocked down by Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC), who held a deep grudge against Pastor for his central role in the giveaway of the Panama Canal in 1976.”
“Bill Clinton invited three former presidents to the White House to stand with him in praise and affirmation NAFTA. This was the first time in U.S. history that four presidents had ever appeared together. Of the four, three were members of the Trilateral Commission: Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush.”
..And George W Bush is going to put the final nail in the coffin of America if he is not stopped. He is just fulfilling the policies of three prior Presidents including his father.
“Congress clearly understood the risk of giving up this power to the President, as evidenced by the fact that they put an automatic expiration date on it. Since the expiration of the original Fast Track, there been a very contentious trail of Fast Track renewal efforts. In 1996, President Clinton utterly failed to re-secure Fast Track after a bitter debate in Congress. After another contentious struggle in 2001/2002, President Bush was able to renew Fast Track for himself in the Trade Act of 2002, just in time to negotiate the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and insure its passage in 2005.As a result, national sovereignty of the United States has been severely compromised - even if some Congressmen and Senators are aware of this, the general public is still generally ignorant.”
I urge you to read “North American Union “Conspiracy” Exposed” by Cliff Kincaid available on The August Review
ScottyDog on February 24, 2007 at 1:43 PM
Everything I’ve read about this coming North American Trade Union scares the crap out of me. It’s the entire concept, as George W. Bush recently said, “Money trumps peace” and of course it follows money trumps laws and money trumps national sovereignty, money trumps the will of the people and on and on.
I think what scares me the most is that both sides of the aisle is in with all this, Democrat and Republican. I keep feeling that it is going to happen no matter who we vote for or what we do and “The United States of America” will just be a quaint notion.
In 2001 I first read this press release and couldn’t really believe it could ever happen but then last year I learned that my land was going to be smack dab in the path of the I-35 corridor “NAFTA Superhighway” and that if I didn’t take their “fair offer” the government would seize the land and give it to a Spanish company to build this PRIVATELY OWNED road.
Here’s what I read in 2001:
A Blueprint for a North American Community
August 30, 2001
Robert A. Pastor
integrate the infrastructure and transportation networks of North America;
create a development fund to reduce income disparities across the countries;
establish a North American Commission to prepare for the three leaders at their next Summit an agenda and options for promoting continental integration;
move toward a Customs Union in five years with a Permanent North American Court on Trade and Investment;
forge a more humane immigration policy that includes “North American passports” for frequent travelers, immigration preferences, and a larger temporary program with safeguards;
train North American customs and immigration officers to reduce duplication; and
eventually adopt a common currency.
