Video: Jihadis use CNN sniper clip in propaganda
posted at 11:29 am on February 22, 2007 by Allahpundit
Terrorists film themselves killing Americans for recruitment videos; CNN sees their video and puts it on the air; other terrorists see the CNN clip and put it in their own recruitment videos. From propaganda to news to propaganda again, like some sort of jihadist compost. Until now they’ve been mostly content to recycle domestic anti-American agitprop. Kudos to CNN for giving them a whole new vein of media to tap.
Pat Dollard’s got the clip. Click the image below and fast forward to about 40% through for the CNN segment. It’s possible that they’re only interested in the sniper video itself and not the fact that a U.S. media outlet picked it up — but if so, why does the narrator go out of his way to identify CNN?
Update: I’m having trouble getting Pat’s site to load so here’s the clip.

The friend of my enemy…

Sorry, Allah, I have to dispute the “news” part of that sentence. It was still anti-American propaganda when it was run on al-CNN.
This should surprise no one. When you consider how similar terrorist propaganda and Democrat rhetoric have become over the past few years, it was inevitable that they’d start doing joint operations. When two organizations share so many goals, collusion like this is natural.

Anybody remember how during the First Gulf War, we kept seein’ gun camera footage of smart bombs takin’ out their targets? How come during THIS war, we only see enemy film footage, we never see what OUR guys are doin’? We never see them killin’ bad guys. I guess we don’t wanna OFFEND our enemies! Perhaps the enemedia has something to do with it?

Just more evidence that the MSM is part of the islamic 5th column in America.

At first I thought I was watching a 60 Minutes segment, but then I saw Cooper the Traitor and the Commie News Network logo. I saw a couple of Code Pink pinheads towards the end of that clip too. Thanks girls, our enemies love you.
You can bet heads are going to roll at CBS, ABC, and NBC. CNN obviously has far better connections with the jihadists.
Will Brian Williams be granted a head-nodding interview with Zawahiri soon? Will Perky Katie don a burqa to gain favor with Al Jazeera? Can Charlie Gibson find a way to send better long-range scopes to Juba.
Curious minds want to know.

Congratulations CNN, your bullet has legs.

CNN and the rest have decided that, instead of “No News is Good News”, No Good News is News. They want the U.S. Military to look like they are loosing so the MSM and others can insist we’re dying for a “mistake” but the MSN underestimates the long term effect of this type of reporting. Just look at the declining ratings for most of the MSM for an example; They are loosing viewers faster than Helen Thomas doing a striptease, as I have said before. Americans are getting tired of all the negativity that the MSM is reporting.

Gee thanks for that visual.

The media threw a royal fit after Gulf war 1 about how they werent able to cover news at the front.
This is the end result. We should have kept them in their cages.

I’ll bet they’re so proud- ratings are up, everybody is watching…

No credit for the photos ripped from Gettyimages?
And they’re still going on and on about Mr ‘Juba’. That’s all they’ve got. Good for them.
Oh, and 3D GRAPHICS!!! WINNARRRRRRRRRR!! And the post-production soft-lighting effects for Juba in his sacred little room (or whatever it is) just tops it off.
I’d actually like MEMRI to translate this. The whole thing seems to be ‘look at us and how effective we are in getting our videos onto news outlets’

We knew that they would:
Who needs Al-Jazeera when we’ve got CNN…10/19/2006…
Because CNN has a track record that explains why they do it:
2001 Document: Saddam Regime Gives CNN…10/22/2006…Priority For News Coverage (Translation)
Sucking up to terrorists gets you access…

Here’s to hoping that “someone” is using that clip as a resource of information to track down that son of a b*#%@h, “sniper of bagdad”, how about “coward of bagdad”?

I remember it, particularly the footage of the bridge being taken out as someone was racing over it.
I might be a little foggy on this but, I also thought the media beat themselves up over being manipulated by the Pentagon and their slick footage.
…maybe that’s why the drive by media refuses to show anything positive.
You also have to look at it from the Pentagon perspective.
Say a herd of jihadis are holed up in a neighborhood house somewhere…a neighborhood where they drove out the previous inhabitants. Next, you have footage of a 500 pounder taking out the house.
How many enemy and their allies in the drive by media would be claiming a family of 30 was killed in the house?
