WE ARE STILL AN ARMY OF DAVIDS and we will make our own damned YouTube…too bad “TRUE TUBE” is already registered….

Come on Airheads….we can DO THIS….Mr.Johnson….come on NOW IS THE TIME!!!!

seejanemom on February 21, 2007 at 9:26 AM

This is from YouTube’s Code of Conduct….

“We encourage free speech and defend everyone’s right to express unpopular points of view. But we don’t permit hate speech which contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality.” (emphasis mine)

I did a search (in YouTube) for the term “christian” and got several vidoes, but the first two were anti-christian rants. One has been up for 3 months and the other 4 months. And that was only the first page.

It sounds like the liberals are in charge over at YouTube.

Nice rant MM.

csdeven on February 21, 2007 at 9:29 AM

It reminds me of a couple of old sayings,
Rights–for the right people.
Some people are more equal than others.
Sigh.

dostrick on February 21, 2007 at 9:45 AM

This is “hell”arious, Make 500 anti Christian videos on YouTube, no problem. But make one video showing the first nine evil chapters of the Qur’an and get banned. Just goes to show the true colors of YouTube.

KCtheKat on February 21, 2007 at 9:48 AM

Terrorism works! Just ask You Tube. Rather than stand up and post what they please, within copy laws, they become cowards just like the coward terrorist that get their panties in a knot over cartoons.

right2bright on February 21, 2007 at 10:21 AM

Take a breath folks and step back for a minute. Let’s look at this a bit closer. Remember he had anti-Christian rants up for months right. Can you imagine if all he did was put up bible quotes? “Love your enemies.” “God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son…” “The meek shall inherit the earth.” And, on and on. Add music, a bit of commentary, and viola!

Now remember, that’s what he did with the Koran. He just put up Koran quotes and added music and a bit of commentary. The Koran speaks for itself. What you-tube is doing is trying to supress Islam by not allowing it to be quoted.

It’s the Koran… stupid.

Mojave Mark on February 21, 2007 at 10:22 AM

Did you guys ever think of this? Maybe, just maybe, the jihadists and the followers of the cult of Islam have secretly (double secretly) contacted YouTube, MSM outlets, all Democrats and all those that toe the lefty line, and told them if they allowed negative comments, videos or thoughts of their wonderful religion then it’s off with their heads. Would make sense as to why all those groups act the way they do. I would much rather explain the idiotic behavior these groups exhibit as a fearful reaction than something their brain thinks to be the right thing to do. So, what are we to do? Pity them and come to their rescue. Show them we are not afraid of the barbaric cult practices of the Islamic people. Maybe that will help all of us. Probably not though.

rayvet on February 21, 2007 at 10:38 AM

Welcome to the world of liberal minded political correctness. Pull up a chair and sit a spell, they are gonna be PRETTY darned hard to unentrench.

NRA4Freedom on February 21, 2007 at 10:38 AM

So, quoting the Koran is “copyright infringement”?

Is that what dhimmi-Tube is saying?

That’s all he did…flash Koran passages (almost too quickly to read)…and said nothing hateful while doing it.

The “YouTube community” has, I’ve see, banded together in groups, and they do what many liberals do on Google…doing their own “GooTube” bombing, and systematically complaining about certain videos to get them removed, simply because they aren’t “liberal” enough.

Free speech? Where, oh where has it gone…

JetBoy on February 21, 2007 at 10:46 AM

You Tube lets thousands post TV clips that obviously have been used without permission, yet Koran quotes (which are no more protected by copyright than individual quotes from the Bible) violate copyright???

What are YouTube and Google afraid of? Are they so desperate for money that they will sell their souls to forces that want to squash all thier rights???

It seems to me, YouTube could be squashed by a competitor willing to work with legitimate authors of original material, and to allow use of material that clearly is in the public domain.

doufree on February 21, 2007 at 11:17 AM

“We encourage free speech and defend everyone’s right to express unpopular points of view. But we don’t permit hate speech which contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality.” (emphasis mine)

There is no doubt in my mind that the people who run YouTube are a bunch of leftists who would be commiting treason left-and-right if it weren’t so hard to do (I say based on the dearth of treason trials). The quote avobe is
self-evidently internally inconsistent. But of course, it is just the same thing that has been happening in our society on a greater scale: Free speech has been subverted to speech codes. So which is it YouTube? You support free speech or you you disallow hate speech? You can’t do both. Michelle is right. YouTube is a private company and they can do what they like. Michelle puts on them the onus of honesty and responsibility. They will not be able to bear that burden (patently, since they have not been able to bear it up to this point). I put no burden on them. I just recognize that they hate America and everything for which it stands, and would dismantle it if they could. They have sidded with jihad the stated/declared/shouted from the rooftops/broadcast on Al Jazeera goal of which is “Death to America!”

Thanks JC (that’s Jimmy Carter, the American Anti-Christ).

urbancenturion on February 21, 2007 at 11:21 AM

So… if Michelle’s videos disappear from YouTube, it’s because of “user error.”

But if the Dixie Chicks win a Priusful of Grammys, star in a feature documentary, and appear on the cover of EW, that’s “censorship.”

My dictionary is so out of date.

saint kansas on February 21, 2007 at 11:22 AM

Copyright violations my ass!

How lame. YouTube could be a goldmine for a litigator who wanted to sue for copyright infringement with the stuff they let stay up.

In the end, they are just a bunch of cowardly dhiminis.

YouTube…too bad “TRUE TUBE” is already registered….

seejanemom on February 21, 2007 at 9:26 AM

Indeed, this would have been a great name for a conservative website dedicated to video streaming. It is unfortunate that it (the domain name) is already registered.
No matter. I will make an offer. I am the registered owner for the following domain name:

getacluetube.com

I am not currently using this domain name and if AllahPundit is interested, I would offer it to my fellow conservatives (transfer ownership to AP/MM, my compliments — free of charge) as a domain name that they could use to stream their videos.

Since I have a considerable amount of experience with some of the tools used to construct websites, viz.

XHTML/CSS/XML/XSLT/ColdFusion/Dreamweaver/Fireworks/
Flash and SQL Server,

I might also be of service in setting-up such a web-site. I probably already have nearly all of the development tools required to do this, but I don’t want to pay for yet another static IP address or for the hardware to host such a site. There are many venders out there that provide these type of services — so I am not really needed for that sort of thing anyhow.

Since I DON’T have a lot a time on my hands (I have a 40 hour a week job, ya’ know), I am not a good choice to administer such a site (even though I have the skills — having taken the Systems Engineer certification courses from Microsoft some years back). So we would need an admin.
AllahPundit may already have more on his plate than he can handle (I don’t know, I am speculating). Anybody have the skills and the desire to volunteer as an admin for site that hosts streaming videos for us conservatives?

Liberal Diction:

Fair and Balanced: 1.Anything you can get away with, legally. 2.Anything you can get away with and not get punished for. 3.Anything you do in which you don’t get caught.

Lying: 1.An archaic conservative term to describe stretching or avoiding the truth. 2.Has no equivalent in modern Liberal Diction.

Great Vent Michelle!

Michelle is so polite in her request for YouTube to be consistent in their policies. She does not make accusations of complicity with the Islamofacist and gives them the benefit of the doubt.

I do not see YouTube’s actions in this way. In my opinion the management of YouTube is engaging in censorship that is advantageous to the Islamofacist. Their actions indicate a disregard for the religious sensitivities of anyone but those of Islam and seem to have no hesitation in allow postings favorable to conquest and subgation of the “infidel”. More on this topic at Dhimmi Watch.

I have a solution. Boycott. Ignore them. You Who? The only reason to pay any attention to You Who? is to monitor another media outlet that is favorable to the Islamofacist. Remember You Who? after the next disaster occurs, let us remember their complicity with the enemies of the United States.

With so much disatisfaction with You Who? there is an opportunity for a competing service that will allow, and perhaps even advocate, the interests of our nation and freedom of speech for those on the right. Perhaps Hot Air will take up that challenge.

A competing service to You Who? provided by Hot Air would be an approprite, and entirely positive, respone to censorship of those who are resisting the Islamofacist.

omegaram on February 21, 2007 at 12:17 PM

I believe that the folks at CAIR spend a lot of time searching YouTube for things related to Islam and bitterly complain when those things aren’t to their liking. I’ve got no evidence of this, but for the most part, YouTube won’t remove ANYTHING unless there’s a complaint about it.

So… my suggestion, if you want the anti-Christian stuff removed, “complain bitterly” like the Muslim folks do about ANYTHING related to Islam. /shrug

Rick Donaldson on February 21, 2007 at 12:41 PM

I guess I’m one of those people who just can’t stand You Tube due to their constant kowtowing to Muslims and the Dims.

KCtheKat on February 21, 2007 at 12:51 PM

So…

Who owns the copyright for the Koran, anyway? Allah? Big Mo? The Saudi princes?

And how much are they raking in in royalties?

mojo on February 21, 2007 at 1:13 PM

Michelle, since you work with Bill O’Reilly, why don’t you suggest he run a segment on UTube’s bias and lies? Or better yet, do it yourself the next time you guest host his show. It would be hard for UTube to ignore that kind of exposure.

BTW, speaking of someone who has experience with streaming videos from an internet web-site…”where for art thou” realVerse? Will you be returning? (Some of us still haven’t heard or figured out what happened.)

CyberCipher on February 21, 2007 at 2:28 PM

So…

Who owns the copyright for the Koran, anyway? Allah? Big Mo? The Saudi princes?

And how much are they raking in in royalties?

In order to officially copyright something (1) the author of (2) an original work must (3) fix it in a recognizable media. Those are the main criteria of a copyright. That said, current copyright term is the life of the author plus 70 years.

a) I think the Koran has been around longer than that.
b) I don’t think the author is around any more.
c) The Koran is in the public domain, just like the Bible and It’s a Wonderful Life. Sorry, YouTube — if copyright infringement is the official story, I’m not buying it.

Ferris on February 21, 2007 at 2:45 PM

The only reason I everwatch Youtube is because Hot Air or a few other sites I visit link to something I need to see, hear or know about.

If this is a “public” company, they need competition and anyone who owns “shares” should get rid of them. I’ll support a fair, honest and more conservative site for sure!!

sharinlite on February 21, 2007 at 3:34 PM

Hey I just came from the Youtube. There was copy of the Offending Video The length showed 9 minutes, but ended after 12 seconds. Also, I tried to post a comment, but it would not register! I went to one of the videos along the side, and the submission went right thru! Seems they are rigorously patrolling this…. Haha..

Mojomatrix on February 21, 2007 at 6:36 PM

If you visit Nick Gisburne’s site, you will see that this is precisely the same strategy that he himself suggests. But before everyone rushs off to do his bidding, you should be cognizant of the fact that the man’s hostility towards Christianity equals or exceeds his hostility towards Islam. (Sorry, but he’ll have to get his assistance from someone else besides me.)
