The fact that you do not care about whether you are right or wrong shows that any information given to you that does not support what you believe will be discarded. You don’t care. A class in college in earth sciences hardly qualifies you to ask me to do some research. Your snotty attitude tells me that you are still very young and foolish.

Here is one for you to reesearch. This gentleman I had the opportunity to hear lecture. This is someone not bought by frants nor is he political. Even though he has been drug in by Gore and his supporters. He has stayed above the political fray. I might add that he is the most respected meterologist in the world. His papers have been ignored, but his findings have never been dismissed or proven to be false. You cannot find anyone of his caliber on the side of “global warming”. His credentials are impicable.

You can google him and find his many articles. BTW he tangled with Stephen Schneider and Crispin Tickell in the 60′s. They were the two predominant spokespeople for global cooling, who are now behind the global warming.

I’m sorry, but “purchasing carbon offsets” is a whole hell of a lot of hooey. That’s like saying, I can shoot someone and pay off the cops to get away with murder.

If you are trying to be “carbon neutral” then you shouldn’t be producing carbon dioxide… and in Gore’s case if he’s stop talking about global warming, he’d probably go a very long way to stopping. But, this idea that just because you fly in a plane (or use an SUV or whatever) and then you reimburse someone with money is ignorant of the fact that it doesn’t make the extra CO2 emissions go away!

I’m not being played or manipulated by anybody. I took earth science classes in college, I’ve read books and journal articles on both sides of the debate (though it’s hard to find too many that support your side, try a scholarly journal search for yourself sometime), and I’ve come to my own conclusions.

Yes, there are few dollars out there for those who are not part of the environmental agenda.

As Algore says in his acceptance speech (draft):

The importance of Global Warming for the Revolution is too great to leave it in the hands of scientists. The masses must believe that it is beneficial to have faith in Global Warming whether it can be proven or not. If Global Warming didn’t exist it would be necessary to invent it.

Global Warming encompasses four dogmas:

Global temperatures are rising.
This is a bad thing.
Rising temperatures (if they exist) are caused by human industries.
We must place human industries under centralized control and issue production quotas to stop rising temperatures.
Note: if you can’t prove Proposition #1 & #3 you must quickly move to #4.

You should have taken an Environmental Ethics course, in which you would have read “The Skeptical Environmentalist,” “Cadillac Desert,” “Environmental Ethics,” and learned about Dixie Lee Ray and how for each environmental “do-gooder-action” there is an equal, and often more insidious negative reaction. Then a course in critical thinking, logic, biology, chemistry, especially organic chem., and physics. Earth Science courses are mainly an overall look at the earth and the systems within- not a nitty-gritty look at the claims being made by such lofty scientific minds as Algore.

But, just to make you happy, here’s a picture of our bleak future.

Hannity could have spent more time azz washing the Hollyweirdos and their consumption.

Parting thought. If Gore and the Hate America First crowd was really wanting to reduce the carbon they’d be screaming at the second and third world nations that are burning down all the forest and breeding like rabbits next to an alfalfa field.

You’ll come up with some new example of how mankind is destroying the world, and predict more doom and gloom, disregarding how wrong you were on global warming. It’s in the environmentalist’s blood.

As for the global warming issue, I don’t have enough expertise to espouse an opinion on the matter. (Sorry.) But as long as Al Gore is buying carbon offsets, he should be aware that I am willing to sell him an indulgence for his sins against God. I’m pretty sure that the indulgences that I sell him will be every bit as effective and helpful, and authentic and genuine as those carbon offsets that he is buying. (Forgive me if I try to make a buck off of an incredibly ethically challenged and naive individual.)
