Since Murtha’s original plan was to redeploy to Okinawa until the troops were needed again, I’d like to see anyone standing with him on this issue explain why he would pay for sending troops back to Iraq from Okinawa if he is now planning on the “slow bleed” of those currently in Iraq.

His latest plan on cutting funding certainly puts the lie to what he previously floated.

I recall that honora’s first husband was in the services…vague recolletion…

As for the Clenis, he sure as hell did not do any favors to veterans. I lived through his flat-lined VA budgets, and the Seahag showing up for photo ops. The only time the two Grifters were any near a veteran was if there was something in it for them.

Neither party wants to spend any money on veterans. The democrats somehow believe the Pentagon should pay for it, and worry about the money taken from social programs. Many Republicans act as if it is just another social program being funded, or as if enough money is spent already.

The fact that Murtha feels comfortable uncovering his tactics on this treason of his is that he is confident that “none dare call it treason”. The last time the right side of the House won any sort of victory was when Kerry was threatening to call for a vote on immediate withdrawal, and the republicans called his bluff. Remember the vote on that? It’s time to renew that tactic. Bring Murtha’s surrender plan to an immediate vote, force the Socialists to show their colors loud and proud.

Honora, you are usually a smarter about hiding your lib-emotion-drive behind a clever facade of faux logic. This time you just plain blew it. If you dare me I’ll provide half a dozen links to organizations which are continuously fundraising to provide extra medical attention for wounded troops. But in the meantime, Murtha has had a significant hand in Base Realignment And Closure (BRAC) decisions, so there’s your connection to poor availability of service facilities.

Not that that matters on this thread, which is about how he wants to force servicemen to die so he can force the President to cave in. You should be ashamed for trying to misdirect away from such a heinous act with ANY sort of strawman, even one which, on its own, has merit.

2 shy of a decade in power, raised taxes on the grounds to provide better government services to more people. So, the self-proclaimed more caring and noble Democrats under Clinton, were in power, and neither Bill CLinton or Hillary did a thing to improve the tax-payer funded facilties for our vets. Decaying facilities were handed over to Bush. If Clinton had done his job, nice new, well-keep and efficient services would be the order of the day, right now, wouldn’t they be? Lord knows, the Clintons had the money in the federal budget, and don’t forget: no war to fund either – they were rolling in dough and they couldn’t find even a teensy weensty bit to renovate facilities. The WaPo didn’t seem to find it interesting that facilities were cruddy – a long-term problem, but never demanded Clinton do anything about the situation? Yep, Clinton let the VA continue to wither under him for eight more years. If it was Bush’s fault, new facilities would be going downhill, but the truth is he inherited old, run-down facilities.
