Wow. I haven’t seen a “pineapple” grenade in some 25 years. I think we quit using them, much less making them, during Vietnam or soon after if I’m not mistaken. We sure as heck didn’t have or use them during the time I was enlisted.)

Here’s an interesting revelation:

The F1 grenade has been supplied to various foreign countries over the years, including Iraq and other arab nations, and there are different production variations according to country of origin (in terms of finish, markings and spoon/lever design). Though obsolete and no longer in production, it can still be encountered in combat zones.

I have no doubt that the grenade pictured is currently in use by the Iranian military.

NATO doesn’t use the 7.62×39,you mean 7.62×51,otherwise known as the .308 Winchester,which the M-14/M-1A does chamber.
The stuff in that pic is just commercial Winchester/Olin stuff,available at Wal-Mart & it does fit the AK-47 & the SKS,I’ve got a few boxes of it myself.

In fact, you won’t find “made in USA” on ANYTHING that is authentic. Products manufactured here say “Made in the USA”. That sticker has the red USA ’shopped in, if you look you’ll see the rectangle outline.

The mad mullahs in Iran are pulling out all the stops to try and rally Iranians to their madness. They’ve apparently engaged in fauxtography. Fars, the Iranian news agency, published the photo as supposed proof that the US military was backing an ins….

Also, the “USA” brand of ammo (shown in the FARS picture) are not supplied to the US military in that packaging. US military bullets are in plain packaging, just like all the other stuff in small little cardboard boxes (ie: gauze bandages, band-aids, pencils, whatever small). Military suppliers use plain paper greay/tan boxes with the caliber, LOT number, etc stamped on it, but no “branding” at all. Those “USA” bullet boxes are retail versions sold in every gun/ammo store there is in the US and abroad.

That’s a pathetically unintelligent attempt to incite people… but I just consider the source (especially concerning the pathetically unintelligent part).

$5 it ends up on one of the big three networks without the photoshop reference.

And some one from the military might want to also bring up the fact that NATO 7.62×39 won’t work in a AK-74/AKM, I could be wrong. Unless the Iranians are getting M14s also…

Just think his death couldnt be tied to Sunni death squads in Iran, he cant be seen as a martyr in the Iraqi war in Iran and best of all it would greatly embarrass the Iranians.
