If you folks want to be scared, go to about 45 minutes into this video where a lady asks Ms Ali to evaluate which continent has more troubles from Muslims… North America or Europe. The answer ends at around 48 minutes.

Hitchens shows up at the 30:00 minute mark! Hitchens and Ali.. what more can we ask for?

Kevin M on February 17, 2007 at 10:34 PM

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a remarkably courageous woman.

Check out the Voice of America “reporter” at the 50 minute (or so) mark. Our tax dollars at work.

Did anyone else notice the laser-like dot that is constantly on her chest? In fact you can see it in the picture above. It is not something she is wearing because when she moves it does not. I wonder what that is.

I picked up on that too. That can’t possibly be true.

Her book is great, a little slow at first but once it gets goin’, it’s awesome. God bless Ayaan!

Saturday Night Better Than Live! If it is possible for a person to be both gifted and a gift then Ayaan Hirsi Ali is it. I hope she gains a following among the muslim community here in the States. It seems she has gained acceptance among the middle aged white male populace. A key point, I thought was the fact that the muslin immigrant population in Latin America is larger than the UK. Are they building to invade the US. The nothing gringo rallies seemed a little organized for my taste. Ayaan sited as our bigest fault was taking freedom for granted!

In the immortal words of FDR; “We have nothing to fear but fear itself”! In the immortal words of General George Patton; “We’ll march through them like crap through a goose”!

sonnyspats1 on February 17, 2007 at 11:25 PM

More muslims in Latin America than in Europe?

alflauren on February 17, 2007 at 11:53 PM

On school children choosing Muslim teachings over Western teachings:

“…a system you long for has been tried and tested and it’s a bad one”.

Then this:

Today in the 21st century three-quarters of what Mohammed said doesn’t make sense.

No wonder muslim extremists don’t like her and her very life is threatened. She has a powerful (and truthful) message for us. Pray for her safety.

VinceP1974 on February 17, 2007 at 10:01 PM

I caught that too. It is alarming.

thedecider on February 17, 2007 at 11:59 PM

OMG!
Looking for a Latin/muslim axis I found this.

billy on February 18, 2007 at 12:05 AM

Interesting article. What’s wrong with those asshats? I mean, talk about drinking the kool-aid – they’re now sipping the haterade. I will never understand how some cultures will embrace sick ideologies at the drop of a hat and refuse to understand the inherent danger within.

Did anyone else notice the laser-like dot that is constantly on her chest?

It’s a microphone, she adjusts it’s position while answering Hitchens.

Mohammad prophesied, in the Hadiths, that the Ka’aba in Mecca would be torn down by a thin-legged black man from ‘Ethiopia’. (Bukhari 2:26:666)

Looks like he got the gender wrong.

The bravest men in Islam are its women.

Well… c’mon. Surely we have some thin-legged black men who contribute to this blog. What are you waiting for?

His prophesy reminds me of a 1-900 psychic. On the other hand, Bible prophecies actually come true. Funny how that works hugh?

I think some, many?, cannot accept the modern world. they retreat into a fantasy of a world where a prophet provides all the answers anyone would ever ask. Islam is not inherently evil. But the supposed black-and-white view of the world that people hope to see in it, the idea of the noble oppressed and the misbegotten oppressors, that appeals to people. It’s irrational, but it’s there.

You should be able to open the video in your standalone Windows Media player with this URL: mms://wm.capitalreach.com/aei/windows/5190.asf

It’s just the pilot light on another microphone (with amplifier? transmitter?). It’s black so it’s hard to see against her clothing. Check out the very beginning of the video. The light is on, then it goes off and there’s no sound until the man does something with his right hand (turning the microphone/whatever on, I assume), the light comes on, and he says, “How’s that?”

Wow! Thank you for the link to hear Ayaan Hirsi Ali speak. More Please!

She has such a unique perspective and insight into the issue of the Islamic Assault. It is always an experience listening to her views.

I think she is not correct about the difference between the Muslim in Europe and the United States with regard to radical Islam. I believe that the difference is that in the United States the law enforcement system is more sophisticated, more active, and more competent in pursing and punishing violent criminals with severe punishment including long long long prison sentences.

The first line of defense against the Islamofacist is law enforcement. This is why there is so much unrest in Europe, and in particular France, as opposed to the United States.

Thanks JimC … that explains it. That was a distraction for me during the entire video, I kept thinking… is someone pointing a laser at her?

Check out her answer! She hits it exactly on the head.

Q:how can you say a democracy is better when we still have poverty? (as if there is no poverty under a dictatorship…)

A:
Many are poor by choice.

I would rather be poor in a free society then poor under a dictatorship.

The very fact that you can stand there and criticise it….
