Video: Fleming compares defunding of Iraq to Bosnia
posted at 12:36 pm on February 16, 2007 by Ian
You may remember Jane Fleming from other idiot positions such as defending the bigoted Edwards bloggers. Last night on Hannity & Colmes, the Dem strategist stooped down to the level of a fifth-grader and equated what Dems are doing to Iraq to what Republicans supposedly did in Bosnia. It’s one of those “I can’t believe she just said that” moments.
Corrected: supposedly (Thanks jdpaz)

She’s dumber than Helen Keller.
freakagriep on February 16, 2007 at 12:46 PM
I bet she wasn’t supportive of that war either but didn’t have the guts to actually claim Clinton was a ‘warmonger”
Defector01 on February 16, 2007 at 12:51 PM
Dear Miz Fleming:
Operation Eagle Pull. Operation Frequent Wind. If we decide to replay those operations in Iraq I want to make sure that YOU ARE ON ONE OF THE SHIPS PULLING PEOPLE OUT OF THE WATER…….&*%^$#%^^^$&*&%#@$@#@^$%#$@##$#.
Absolutely clueless. Worthless use of DNA.

Helen Keller was brilliant. This dish-rag is no Helen Keller.

Every time I see something like this, I get angrier than I was about it. It’s why I sent this message over at my blog out. To prevent reliable reinforcement of troops on a battlefield for a political strategy is cowardly and will do nothing but get our troops, and Iraqis, killed.
Aren’t these the same folks who bemoan Bush every time there’s a tick upwards in the death count?
Nethicus on February 16, 2007 at 12:53 PM
Thank you Jane.
Leftists, democrats…these are your leaders, spokespersons. This is who is defining your political party.
Once again, you will not hear from our little leftists friends who join our party from time to time. This is where they take leave.

picking at a nit: “supposedly” not “supposably”

Odd, despite those alleged Republican dirty doings, I still managed to leave the USAR to go active duty in Operation Joint Endeavor/Joint Guard….over a year after President Clinton said we’d all be home. Not too much of an effect to be had, those Republican efforts…

It is coming people. Country Joe and the Fish, Joan Biaz, paisleys, bellbottoms, neon-glow painted flowers on mini-vans. The looneyleft has the Dem party by the gonads and is squeezing just as hard as they can. Chickenslicks will be doing sit-ins at city halls. The world will love us.

What a ridiculously stupid, loony moonbat . . . but, she does typify the left.

loony… but kina cute

I’ve gotta admit due to my age I do not know much about what went on in Bosnia. What was the deal with the funding there? Why is this comparison outlandish?
Hannity just ignored it and I have to give him credit for that.
Keljeck on February 16, 2007 at 1:37 PM
she’s not quite full of s**t.
jummy on February 16, 2007 at 1:59 PM
Flem is getting a scolding from both sides. Just after the start of the vid, she interrupts again, like she does all to frequently, but she actualy shuts up and says “sorry” like a child who just got caught again. O’Reilly dressed her down big time, threatening her existence at Fox.
Her days are numbered. She’s too ignorant, too hateful, too shallow to be of any use… except maybe to Edwards.
Her “inner self” ( geesh, remember that?) is way too ugly and if gravely affects her outer looks. Perfect screen cap, Ian.

I’m surprised the young dems of America haven’t pulled her plug by now, she’s quite an embarrassment. On second thought, let’s see more of her.
darwin on February 16, 2007 at 2:01 PM
There was a black lawyer or adminstrator from the Bahamas on H+C last night who made Vannity look like the moron he is.
Hannity kept on try to get info about Anna Nicole out of him saying “WE NEED TO KNOW” “DON’T WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW”.
That crap is yet another reason why I don’t own a goddam tv. Thank God that guy made that bonehead look completely stupid.

Why do we even allow them to speak??
Viper1 on February 16, 2007 at 2:22 PM
the question i’m inclined to ask is whether she has something with here 1999 kosovo reference, and it seems to me that she does.
jummy on February 16, 2007 at 2:26 PM
It’s a joke. Helen Keller was dumb, meaning she couldn’t speak, which is common among deaf people. Though actually, Keller did learn to speak, so the joke doesn’t actually apply here.

Another example of the Left that is more intersted in partisan political advantage than the welfare of our country, citizens, and military.
Jane Fleming is another example of how the Left is our biggest weakness and the reason our nation is not the nation of our forefathers. The Left is more intersted in partisan political advantage than the welfare of our country, citizens, and military.
Our enemies cannot defeat us by military means. Their stratedgy is to cater to the likes of Jane Fleming to do their work for them. Behold the face of our greatest weakness, and the reason we must suffer major disaster to respond effectively to threats we face.
omegaram on February 16, 2007 at 2:53 PM
No, she doesn’t. There were Republicans who didn’t want any involvement in Bosnia, but there was never any threat from the Republican controlled congress to de-fund the troops, as your own (earlier) link shows.

Don’t these people ever watch themselves on TV…they gotta know how absolutely dumbass they look.

One can only hope her days are numbered. I think Sean likes to use her as a Democratic punching bag.
CrimsonFisted on February 16, 2007 at 3:48 PM
Keljack, are you 10? No offense but I read comments about being to young to remember stuff that happened 10 years ago (There is no reason you should) and it makes me feel really old.
We (conservatives) really need to start comparing Bosnia to Iraq. In both cases we are helping to avert a bloodbath, we have/will need to stay awhile, and it is requiring a rather small amount of our countries resources. Put it in the language of the left. “Do you want to be complicit in the deaths of tens of thousands of Iraqis by removing U.S. troops?”

You were live in the studio watching this? Perhaps if you owned a TV you might be a little less angry. I find it quite soothing to sit down and watch a game on TV every now and then. The news though, not so much, I guess I’m with you on that one.

Young Democrats of America?
Apparently, actually being “young” isn’t a prerequisite for being the Executive Director and self-appointed mouthpiece of Young Democrats of America. She’s in her mid-30′s, which isn’t old per se, but I figured her organization as a late-teen/early-20′s circle jerk at first, and then I saw I was correct when I visited the YDA website.
Her My Space Page is a hoot. After all the defending and excuse making she did for the McEwan and Marcotte duo, resulting in nothing but face time on TV, the Breck Girl is at the top of her friends list still.
She’s also a “recovering anorexic” and has a blog that she hasn’t updated since Nov 2006 called http://eatingpolitics.typepad.com/… “I’m a do gooder, who recovered from anorexia and finds an outlet in politics and cooking”
She’s also a Kos kid, but apparently just enough to advertise the YDA organization and little else http://janefleming.dailykos.com/
…the blind leading the blind
SilverStar830 on February 16, 2007 at 3:55 PM
She doesn’t look all that “young”. Is she the den mother of the “young democrats of america” maybe?

Nah, I’m eighteen. The first thing I remember about politics was Lewinsky then Iraq. Anything before that is history to me and High School history classes don’t teach anything past WWII.
So It’s been left to me to study and I don’t remember hearing anything about Republicans pulling Bosnia funding. What happened?

Keljeck, good for you kid. You are already way ahead of the game just by being interested in this stuff at your age. Keep it up. Now someone please answer the kid’s question.
Zetterson on February 16, 2007 at 4:42 PM
Republicans didn’t pull the funding, that’s why you never heard about it. There were Republicans who didn’t want to go into Bosnia, but there was never a threat from the Republican controlled congress to pull the funding.

Is Fleming a little bit stoned? Or is she just not getting enough oxygen to her brain?
Lawrence on February 16, 2007 at 5:27 PM
Comrade Helen Keller was a socialist bordering on Communist. She was one of the founder members of the ACLU.
Wade on February 16, 2007 at 5:31 PM
Lawrence, I was wondering if she was stoned too. Is she kidding? Republicans pull the funding for Bosnia–Hell we’re still there! Yes, there are some groups who do deploy to Kosovo and Bosnia still.

in fact, its national guard units now. shouldn’t they have been home to prevent hurricane katrina from kidnapping natale halloway? booosh.
don’t get me wrong with my pressing this. i don’t think r conduct during the d’s “war of choice” is equivalent to what’s going on now. i do think that it can be effective spin. counteriing it requires more than makeing fun of the person delivering it. if not yanking funding, what were the accused doing at the time they are alleged to have been defunding?
jummy on February 16, 2007 at 6:08 PM
Thanks for pointing that out. I’d like to have a real heart-to-heart with Weasley Clark about this one sometime.

Jane Flemming gets on my last nerve.
The one thing that you can say about Ann and Sean is that they have a tendancy to voice their disapproval when they don’t agree with the president or the republican party, but I have never heard Jane Flemming ever disagree with a democrat, and she always stands in defense of looney policies. She pissed Bill O’Reilly off the other night when she refused to say that bashing Christians was the wrong thing for Marcotte to do. She defended Marcotte, and John Edwards. The only reason Edwards fired her was because Marcotte kept making news, and she was hurting his campaign, But Flemming never would say that she disagreed with Marcotte, or Edwards for hiring her.
