It would help a lot if the press showed even a modicum of respect for President Bush and the Office of the President. He’s been straight with them, he’s bantered with them and the reaction is always the same, snarl. They don’t care, and with the quality of those people, they don’t know what respect means. They are full of themselves, thinking they’re so clever, and proud of their snarkiness, but if they were ever to trade places with Bush for one day, they’d be paralyzed with terror by noon. Writing articles does not prepare one for the realities of management and executive oversight of a massive and complex government.

I know. But, yeah, I kind of am (and don’t call me Shirley). But mostly, I am suggesting that the WH should be allowed to veto a reporter who is an idiot or a liar, like oh say, David Gregory or Helen the Hut.

That doesn’t mean he can’t cover the White House; it just means he can’t come inside…

**Exclusive** A furious President Clinton has ordered a Washington reporter banned from the White House, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned, after the reporter quizzed the president during a press picnic about illegal money from China and the campaign-finance scandal!

Paul Sperry, Washington bureau chief of INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY, was thrown off the invite list at the White House after he grilled the president for more than 10 minutes about various political scandals.

“It turned into a real shout match on the south lawn,” one eyewitness told the DRUDGE REPORT.

At one point during the argument, President Clinton put his hands up to both sides of his head, wiggled them, rolled his eyes and gave Sperry a funny face.

“Make sure that guy never gets close to me again!” the president ordered one of his aides after the showdown.

White House press secretary Joe Lockhart, angry that Sperry transformed a family picnic into a confrontational press conference, told an associate that Sperry is a “Class A s**thead.”

Lockhart personally informed Sperry during a phone conversation late Monday that he would never be invited back to the White House.

“The only regret we have is inviting you — and we wont make that mistake again,” Lockhart warned Sperry.

Time to pull Gregory’s press pass and frogmarch his stinkin’ liberal butt off WH property!

Damn straight they do.

They can ask horse’s asses like Gregory to leave the room. They can pull his White House Press Pass.
They can refuse his admittance to the White House.

Absodamnlutely they can do all this.

And they can (and should) pull the press passes for the reporters for both the Washington Post and the New York Times on the grounds that they have repeated violated the Espionage Act by publishing classified information that aided Al Qaeda after being repeatedly asked not to.

It is long past time to hold the PRESS responsible for it’s actions.

David Gregory is a horse’s arse. Whenever he’s here on Hot Air (I never watch NBC Nightly News), I think “I really miss David Bloom!”. He was such a great reporter. The wrong David went to Iraq to report and didn’t come home. Honestly, I know that is mean but as we remember David Bloom died while with the 3rd ID (my hubby was there as well then & had nothing but great and positive things to say about him). I think David Gregory should show some resepect for the office of the Presidency when he is asking his persnickety questions.

It’s quite disappointing to know, without looking, that the lefties are loving this anti-American narcissistic scumbag. Where did we lose respect, or more-so , where did the left lose all respect. They must have no self respect either, an honorable person does not act in such despicable ways, not at home, not around others, and NEVER to the President of the United States of America.
