[...] The Congressional hearing on global warming was postponed last month due to a snow storm that left the mid-Atlantic area blanketed in snow. Here are the details I wrote about in a post last month: The Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality hearing scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 Rayburn House Office Building has been postponed due to inclement weather. The hearing is entitled “Climate Change: Are Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Human Activities Contributing to a Warming of the Planet?” [...]

As someone who lives in a state where the temperatures change from 90 above in the summer to 20 below in the winter every damn year, I can say absolutely that Climate Change is real! I can also say the mankind has absolutely no effect on the weather as this has been occurring for thousands of years here.

As for global warming, there use to be a mile high sheet of ice that covered almost half of the state of Minnesota and that ice is no longer here. I don't see global warming as a bad thing, except for causing an increase in mosquitoes, ticks, and leaches. Mosquitoes, ticks, and leaches are God's natural liberals, nasty little bloodsuckers that have no apparent benefit and cause nothing but pain and discomfort.

<blockquote>The real goal of the big players pushing global warming is a global tax. Nothing more.

Nothing more? How about global law? You can lump me in with truthers if you wish, but this is straight NWO stuff... just like the bogus SARS, Bird Flu, (insert pandemic alarmism disease of the year), etc. I could go on, but I think I've outted myself as a tinfoil hat wearer enough for the moment.

Got it, a little late (and a little slow) but I got it now.

Years ago, running a large food processing plant, just before tomato picking season the brokers would all come in with their "climate change" weather story. This year the crop will be higher priced because; it was too wet, or too dry, or it rained all at once and flooded, or too hot...I found out that weather is never average.

<blockquote>So, what was on Cavuto, RW? I missed it.

Eh, wasn't that great actually... Cavuto was leading in on a global warming segment, talking about the storm, but he's not looked in to the issue enough to have made an ass out of the woman like he should have.

In Toronto it's -10F with 8 inches of snow. Overnight windchill will take it down to -35 or -40 (c/f same thing). The South Western suburbs got up to 2 feet with the storm. The commute was great this morning, the expressways were empty, since everyone bailed on the idea of working.

Redfield NY added 2 feet over the day, adding to the 12 it got over the last week. But remember everything proves Global Warming.

Have to love Canadian weather. Summer hits 40C/105F, winter hits -30 to -40F. Loverly.

<blockquote>That raises an interest question, doesn’t it? What happens in the year 2100, if the polar cap hasn’t melted and NYC isn’t under 100 feet of water?

I’d pay money to have someone from the future send back a history book - so I could read all the mocking of the global warming hysteria.

I guarantee your great-grandchildren will think its
hilarious.

Professor Blather on February 14, 2007 at 1:29 PM</blockquote>

The problem is our great-grandchilren will never know about it, because it will be either global warming or cooling hysteria in there time to, and the media and liberals (if we aren't dead after a long period of Democrat rule) will still be hiding the truth.

Hell, we aren't even told today about the 1970s global cooling hysteria. The ONLY reason we know about it is because of the internet, and the vast majority of people are completely unaware.

And as Laura showed us above, they've been hiding the history of climate change hysteria from us for over 100 years.
http://www.businessandmedia.org/specialreports/2006/fireandice/fireandice.asp

With an informed public, you'd be right, our great-grandkids would laugh... but there's no reason to believe they'll know the deal. The media/left time it well - every 30 years or so. That way adults are old people with failing memories by the time the next hysteria cycle comes around and people who were babies and young children are experiencing the hysteria for the first time.

Isn't there one big irony here?

Namely, that even after 9/11 (and 3/11 in Madrid and 7/7 in London and the USS Cole and African embassies and literally thousands of radical Islamic terrorist attacks all over the world) ... liberals will angrily tell you that mentioning terrorism is "fear mongering."

And at the very same time, they shriek like scared little girls about this tooth fairy Santa Claus "climate change" mythology they've invented.

Only a liberal could look at one threat that's ALREADY happened ... and worry about something else that's completely imaginary.

<blockquote>That raises an interest question, doesn’t it? What happens in the year 2100, if the polar cap hasn’t melted and NYC isn’t under 100 feet of water?</blockquote>

That's happened already - the "climate change" scares started more than 100 years ago, and they're still going on. As long as we have a dishonest, scare-mongering media, and a populace who is unwilling or unable to learn history, do research, and think for themselves, this crap will continue.

We've always been at war with Eastasia, and we've always been at fault for global <strike>cooling</strike> <strike>warming</strike> climate change.

I could use some global warming today. Shoveling 8" of snow in 15-20 below wind chill. Bring it on!

<blockquote>The g.w. hoax can go on indefinitely. When short term predictions don’t pan out, the numbers are simply adjusted and extended.

I'd pay money to have someone from the future send back a history book - so I could read all the mocking of the global warming hysteria.

I guarantee your great-grandchildren will think its
hilarious.

<blockquote>As if it’s a coincidence that the President’s initials are GW–even his name stands for Global Warming, man!

I'd bet a nice chunk that somewhere, some lefty has made this point seriously, with a straight-face.

By the way, the windchill in Tennessee this morning?

SEVEN frickin' degrees.

Global warming, my marcotte.

<blockquote>Oh. Right. As if there was “weather” before human beings started polluting the environment.

You Kkkonservative sheep would believe anything. Obviously, prior to the industrial revolution, every day was bright, warm, and mildly sunny.

I suppose I’m supposed to think a site called “HotAir.com” has nothing to do all this weather stuff that’s everywhere all of a sudden.

Sheesh.
