Apparently, Bona-deushey, quitting is easy… you’ve done it every year for the last 40 years.

I might accept this rant if you learned from this death. I won’t feel sorry for you, or anyone else.

Although Danny’s sobriety is always a matter of opinion, I will respect his “authoritah!” on the subject. I like Danny. He’s a straight shooter on any subject. I caught part of this episode tonight and he was on his usual game and, I thought, spot on with ANS’s problems.

Agreed. He was great.

Re: Reaps

One word. Sensationalism.

Ian on February 13, 2007 at 10:54 PM

Yep, Fox loves the tabloids. At least Murdoch does. That’s why we have to put up with Greta alongside the real stuff.

jaleach on February 13, 2007 at 11:00 PM

I like Danny, too. I like people who say what they mean whether it is what I want to hear or not.

Glynn on February 13, 2007 at 11:11 PM

Fox News should leave the tabloid stuff for some idiotic special on their regular entertainment outlets. This pap is only going to erode their credibility as a NEWS outlet.

hillbillyjim on February 13, 2007 at 11:11 PM

I can’t take Fox anymore. They didn’t lower the bar, they buried it. Greta spent what seemed like a decade in Aruba. Geraldo shows up on The Factor. Exit, The History Channel.

I get my news here……..

Hening on February 13, 2007 at 11:15 PM

I agree FOX delves too far into the tabloid stuff but, that’s my opinion. What do I know about running a cable news operation? Their ratings continue to beat their competition night after night. They’re doing something right whether we agree or not.

thedecider on February 13, 2007 at 11:27 PM

Mmm. I would have liked to hear what the lady doctor had to say about being sober for 6 years. Danny talked all over her. I do not blame him though, addiction and fame are known to him so he might feel defensive on the subject.

But as far as FOX NEWS, I must agree, back when I had TV (been sober from TV for 5 years now) I stopped watching it. All the coverage of the tabloid stuff–the hollywood murders, the hyped up rape cases, the Michael Jackson feeding frenzy…mindnumbing gibberish.

Meanwhile, real news was happening and as another poster mentioned above, FOX NEWS employees like Greta spent years in Aruba and got all the air time.

Thank God for internet blogs like these.

Montana on February 13, 2007 at 11:29 PM

Did you completely miss his apology, on national TV? Basically saying he was incorrect and Anna David had more time sober than he did. Hurried, but a real attempt at an amend, and a hat tip.

Where is the O’REILLY Shoot-out with the left wing shill youth Dem leader Jane Flem-in-my-throat-ing?

O’Reilly dressed her down, hard. Thats what I’m waiting for here. She’s so damn anti-syncretic and arrogant, it was way over due.

I sad to be called in as an expert on drug abuse

Pam on February 13, 2007 at 11:31 PM

oops, that should be how sad

Pam on February 13, 2007 at 11:32 PM

Anna David is not a doctor, is she?

But she is HOT!

shooter on February 13, 2007 at 11:33 PM

Danny is cool for an analysist. Or is he the color commentator? But he is exactly the opposite of Michelle… calm, collected, intelligent, well-informed. Danny’s more like… crazed, starched, street savy, well-informed. Maybe well-informed is the key. Maybe that’s whats missing from so many of them. They’re not well-informed. Well I’ll be,

The Bonaduce version of STFU. Heh. I wish you left more meat in the clip Ian. On his sobriety, were he still using I think we’d know about it in short order, he has to have a bullseye on his back. Conservatives in Hollywood aren’t shown any mercy.

Theworldisnotenough on February 13, 2007 at 11:38 PM

Never mind…….

PinkyBigglesworth on February 13, 2007 at 11:49 PM

The left that loves to claim FOX is a “right wing network” should read some of these comments.

mlong on February 13, 2007 at 11:50 PM

Anna David is pompous and full of herself. She’s featured regularly on G4TV(the videogame network)’s Attack of the Show as a “sex expert.” In reality, she’s just an average woman with an obnoxious voice who has opinions and is somewhat talented at writing smut. I don’t remember what she said that set Bonnaduce off, but I remember agreeing with the sentiment. This woman is a tabloid artist and has no place on FNC.

He’s right. All those hangers on and no one cared about the decent thing to do? Course, maybe she chased all the decent people away who’d tried to speak sense to her and then she was left with the grubbers.
Just ugly all around. Snow anyone? The real stuff?

naliaka on February 14, 2007 at 12:06 AM

I used to find him annoying until I saw/heard/read interviews of him defending God, America, President Bush, and our soldiers. Now I like him. Odd or not…

PoliticallyIncorrectSandy on February 14, 2007 at 1:21 AM

That video clip is really out of context. I expect better Ian.

R D on February 14, 2007 at 1:58 AM

Damn, I used to take 16 Vicodins a day with a liter of Rumplemintz. I wonder if I slurred? :)

Capitalist Infidel on February 14, 2007 at 2:49 AM

I watch Cavuto, that’s about it. O’Reilly grates my nerves, Hannity is a blow-hard, I don’t care about Lacy Peterson/Natalie Holloway/ANS–so Greta’s out. I stopped watching Fox and Friends because I wanted to bitch-slap E.D. Hill (now, apparently she has her own show).

Every now and then I will catch Shep, but mostly I watch the last 30 minutes of Cavuto.

I get my news from here, Michelle, National Review. I use my tv for MXC, Mythbusters and Miami Ink.

Probably, but your breath smelled great.

Sammy316 on February 14, 2007 at 6:31 AM

I have to agree with Danny on this one.

Fox, and the media in general, are putting up people who know NOTHING about subjects, and letting them spout crap on National TV…

Whether its military hating “Military Analysts”… or “Sex Experts” giving their opinion about drug addiction. Being Photogenic (or hot) does NOT make you right… or knowledgable (the Hollywood myth)….

Romeo13 on February 14, 2007 at 7:33 AM

I’ve done so many illegal drugs that you could probably freeze-dry me and sell me off in parts to other addicts.

It’s a slippery slope for any addict to talk “addiction”. That being said, I think that Danny-boy here has an angle that lends itself quite fittingly to ANS: celebrity. He understands what it’s like to have people exploit you while you smoke/drink/snort your way down the crapper.

I’m waiting for a Patridge Family reunion tour.

Hello, world, here’s a song that we’re singin’,
c’mon get happy!
A whole lotta lovin’ is what we’ll be bringin’,
we’ll make you happy!

Alden Pyle on February 14, 2007 at 10:32 AM

I stopped watching after he said that so I could post the clip. Anyways, even if I watched more of the show (which I just did) I don’t think I would have posted any more of it. The point was there was no point. It’s funny. You know that feeling that makes you go “ha ha.”

Ian on February 14, 2007 at 10:55 AM

Danny talked all over her

No, she tried to interrupt when he had been given the floor to respond to her. He asked a yes/no “quick question”, got the answer, and tried to finish making his point, but she talked all over HIM.

“Did you ever quit a fifth of vodka and 20 vicodin a day habit?”

Heck no. Why would you want to?

Good times, good times…

EFG on February 14, 2007 at 12:52 PM

Hey, after reading the (send your kid to) JohnCougarDoucheMellencamp thread … I’ve got to give Bonaduce credit.

At least he has SOME knowledge of the subject he’s talking about.

Professor Blather on February 14, 2007 at 1:59 PM

Did anyone else notice her contradiction? First she says “well, no but,” when Danny asks her if she quit her ‘fifth of Vodka and 20 Vicodin a day” habit then she says she’s been sober for over 6 years. How can someone stay sober on a fifth of Vodka a day? I guess there’s a new standard for sobriety that I am not aware of.

RedinBlueCounty on February 14, 2007 at 3:09 PM

I think the point was she has never had a ‘fifth of Vodka and 20 Vicodin a day” habit, while he on the other hand has…

He asked her if she’d ever quit that kind of an addiction, as DB ostensibly has. She said no, but that she had quit her own (less serious) addiction 6 years ago, so to DB that meant he was the expert, not her.

spmat on February 14, 2007 at 7:40 PM

Yeah, I like straight shooters too, as long as they are not foul-mouthed or obscene about it.

Natrium on February 14, 2007 at 8:40 PM

I had a surgery a couple of years ago and just took a couple of vicodin. OH MY! I hated the feeling of being so loopy. I only took them for two days and threw the rest away. I can not imagine doing 20 of those suckers every day. And, a fifth of vodka! The ‘Duce was doing some serious dope!

The criminals here are the members of the ANS management team who, to line their pockets, propped up a wreck of a woman regardless of the threat her lifestyle posed to her own baby and herself. ANS pays the price for their greed. Where’s their liberal compassion now? Oh, yah, that only counts when there’s no easy money to be made.

Mojave Mark on February 15, 2007 at 1:35 AM

Thanks, that isn’t clear in the clip.

RedinBlueCounty on February 15, 2007 at 7:08 AM

No offense, but this post is bull.

Moments later, DB gave as classy an apology as I’ve seen for not recognizing her six years of sobriety. Very few people ever apologize for being insulting or saying the wrong thing on these types of shows. Bravo!
