It will be Fitzmas no more…

Slublog on February 13, 2007 at 3:03 PM

Alas, while we may be getting the first snow of the year here in the Northeast, there will be no Fitzmas stocking.

JammieWearingFool on February 13, 2007 at 3:04 PM

They have Armitage on tape admitting that “everyone knew” about Plame long before Novak’s column. This trial is a disgrace.

Yeah, that’d imply they were sane.

This trial is a disgrace.

Esthier on February 13, 2007 at 3:09 PM

Absolutely pitiful!

i think the best of lefty dead enderism can be seen in the bloggingheads between david corn and byron york.

Twas the night for Fitzmass,
And all thru the House,
Not a Cheney was stirring,
Not even a mouse.

The nutroots were hanging themselves,
By the chiminey in terror,
Realizing the fact,
Cheney wouldn’t be there…

natesnake on February 13, 2007 at 3:29 PM

Plame,Plame….rings a bell, did she have something to do with Dennis the Menace’s old neighbor guy or something like that?
Sorry, just can’t seem to place it.

*moo*push*moo*push*moo*push*ahhhh*

The sound of Chris Matthews and David Schuster having a cow over at Hardball.

I’m so tired of this non-story. But between this and Pandagate there must be a lot of moonbat heads exploding (figuratively) today.

ReubenJCogburn on February 13, 2007 at 3:39 PM

I’ve been following this trial on Tom Maguire’s blog and some related postings. While I wouldn’t want to predict what a Washington D.C. jury will do, it’s pretty clear to me that Fitz hasn’t even come within a light-year of proving his case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Pathetic.

thirteen28 on February 13, 2007 at 3:46 PM

Am I the only one who saw a report on FNC yesterday, playing the new tape of Woodward and Armitage, like it was new news that the Bush critic Armitage was the source? Didn’t we learn this like 3 or 4 months ago?

RightWinged on February 13, 2007 at 3:52 PM

This really is Pathetic!

Between this trial “where no crime was committed, but we will keep invetigating anyway”, and Nancy “Blinky” Pelosi leading the charge in the House to under cut our troops….

I think everyone has lost sight of the extreme danger we are in. If you need a reminder of how horrific the next attack may be, have the courage to read this……..

Then tell me how happy you are that the Democrats have defunded the border fence, and only want to deal with the terrorists in a “virtual” way…….

Where’s my vomit bucket?

PinkyBigglesworth on February 13, 2007 at 3:56 PM

Didn’t we learn this like 3 or 4 months ago?

Yes, but FNC is starting to learn that the singular representation of fact is not enough. They have to repeat it several times just to make it stick.

It’s like the MSN, except it’s true.

natesnake on February 13, 2007 at 3:56 PM

RightWinged on February 13, 2007 at 3:52 PM

Didn’t Fitz himself know it two weeks into the investigation – back in 2003?

fogw on February 13, 2007 at 3:56 PM

Typical American prosecutor: If you can’t dazzle them with brillance baffle them with BS. People like OJ and Blake play golf while people like Libby get railroaded.

Dallas yesterday: 1000 prisoners in the county jail all released without trial. Overcrowding maltreatment etc etc. Oh….did I mention….all the Republican judges were voted out in November and replaced with Dems. Who woulda guessed it?

Limerick on February 13, 2007 at 3:58 PM

You’ll hear it here first…

Libby Found Guilty by Jury!!!!! Yes folks, the jury is going to find him Guilty.

Followed shortly afterwards by the following:

Judge throws out Guilty decision of Jury.

Call it a hunch or the fact that because they’re a bunch of no good, cross burning, racist republicans who, by nature, HAVE to be guilty.

Just remember, when it comes down as listed above.

Really though, Based upon the testimony that I’ve seen so far, the charges should be thrown out of the courts. It’s really quite disheartening that this circus continue.

Justice is supposed to be blind, but deaf and dumb????

HarryStar on February 13, 2007 at 4:03 PM

I can understand the deranged Libs wanting to get at Bush/Rover through him. I can almost understand that pigheaded Fitzgerald not wanting to give up, but I can’t understand the rest of the Country screaming about this human rights abuse. I especially can’t understand the Republicans keeping him at arms length.

He has done nothing but he is facing jail.

He is the sacrificial lamb. It is disgusting.

Chilling

Unfortunately, while the Dems (and some Republicans) are refusing to acknowledge that there is a group of people out there who have firmly stated that the annilation of Isreal and the USA is there goal, we have to put up with Fitzgerald’s witch hunt.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of moonbats suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

And tonight, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Olbermann will become Shakespeare or Voltaire. So far he’d been just warming up.

LakeRuins on February 13, 2007 at 4:12 PM

The Duke non-rape case.

The Libby trial is about politicians eating their own.

Lawrence on February 13, 2007 at 5:27 PM

And tonight, ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Olbermann will become Shakespeare or Voltaire. So far he’d been just warming up.

Entelechy on February 13, 2007 at 4:54 PM

Wow, apparently I need a scorecard to keep track of who Olberdouche is channeling. I thought he was (in his own tiny mind, such as it is) the reincarnation of Edward R. Murrow. Right down to stealing the guy’s sign-off, which is both unoriginal and extremely uncool. He’s more like a maggot trying to feed off of Murrow’s reputation.

ReubenJCogburn on February 13, 2007 at 5:28 PM

Voltaire’s IQ was estimated at somewhere between 190 and 200 or even higher.

Isn’t that, at minimum, 125 points higher than Olbermann could possibly score??

LegendHasIt on February 13, 2007 at 9:36 PM

ReubenjCogburn and LegendHasIt, yes, and yes!

Entelechy on February 13, 2007 at 10:20 PM

Well it hardly matters. The testimony thus far gives a pretty clear picture of the modus operandi of ol’ Dick. If he hadn’t caused so much damage it would be comical. Imagine being the 2nd in command in the middle of a war getting this worked up over a column by a ex diplomat unknown outside of the Beltway. VEry Nixonesque. And not in the good way.

honora on February 14, 2007 at 9:50 AM

RightWinged on February 13, 2007 at 3:52 PM

Yes but that’s not the point of the trial–it’s perjury. (You know, revenge is a dish best served cold!!)

honora on February 14, 2007 at 9:52 AM

If he hadn’t caused so much damage it would be comical.

Damage to whom? So far, the only damage is to Libby and I wouldn’t blame that on Rove, I would blame that on Fitzgerald. Is any other person involved in the ‘leak’ facing any hardships?

RedinBlueCounty on February 14, 2007 at 2:17 PM

Imagine being the 2nd in command in the middle of a war getting this worked up over a column by a ex diplomat unknown outside of the Beltway.

Imaging the damage caused by your ‘ex diplomat’ when he knowingly lies about his investigation, and the conclusions his verbal report stated, to a major newspaper. Libby should not be on trial here, Wilson should.

RedinBlueCounty on February 14, 2007 at 2:22 PM

Imagine being the 2nd in command in the middle of a war getting this worked up over a column by a ex diplomat unknown outside of the Beltway.

honora, as a former member of the military I can reasonably say that the Vice President is NOT the second in command of anything.

The second in command for the military is the Secretary of Defense, and as far as I know, that’s not “ol’ Dick.” Do you understand just how the chain of command operates?

Running from the president to the secretary of defense to the commander of the combatant command, the chain of command for the United States military is spelled out by the Goldwater-Nichols Department of Defense Reorganization Act of 1986. The secretaries of the military departments assign all forces under their jurisdiction to the unified and specific combatant commands to perform missions assigned by those commands.

RedinBlueCounty on February 14, 2007 at 2:33 PM

(You know, revenge is a dish best served cold!!)

That sums it up exactly. This is not a trial of any unlawful behavior. This is a pay back for Clinton.

RedinBlueCounty on February 14, 2007 at 2:34 PM

Yes but that’s not the point of the trial–it’s perjury. (You know, revenge is a dish best served cold!!)

honora on February 14, 2007 at 9:52 AM

My friend is admitting that it was perjury, before it was revenge, and when the dish was still hot.
