btw the reason the Muslims are going crazy is less that there’s digging going on but that the Israeli authorities are finding absolute undeniable proof that the Second temple did exist and it was built over by the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Actually the Al-Asqa Mosque was built just a bit off from the Second Temple. It was acutally built on the position of the Outer Court. Ironically, Scripture says that they are to be rejected and left out:

Revelations 11:1 Then a measuring rod like a staff was given to me, and I was told, “Get up and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and the ones who worship there. But do not measure the outer courtyard of the temple; leave it out, because it has been given to the Gentiles, and they will trample on the holy city for forty-two months.
