The GOP is no ally for Conservatives these days.

GET FRANCE ON THE PHONE….for old time’s sake.

seejanemom on February 8, 2007 at 9:52 AM

We need a Revolution of Power in this country, before it must be at the point of a spear.

The GOP is limp wristed…what’s a CONSERVATIVE to do?

seejanemom on February 8, 2007 at 9:55 AM

I’ve got to tell you … that really frightened me. More than a thousand terrorist videos ever could. That was really … troubling.

I hope moderate Democrats (they exist right?) are paying attention and I hope they are at least mildly perturbed. I hope far left atheists and the ACLU are paying attention; maybe here they could actually do some good.

If you think about it, really consider the idea of a radical Muslim imam essentially praying for Islamic conversion at an official major party function, in a post-9/11 environment … it’s frightening. Or at least it ought to be.

Osama bin Laden with nuclear weapons can be dealt with; we can’t be defeated like that, from the outside.

But this? It’s our weakness. Our Trojan horse.

God Allah help us.

While one would certainly believe that the left wing secular groups like the ACLU are listening. I don’t believe they will do anything about this. There’s no doubt that this is the way that our enemy will defeat us if it ever comes down to that point. Most Americans are barely listening, they would rather listen to their IPODS and watch American Idol.

Another terrorist Attack on American soil? Hell no! The terrorists will not be stupid enough to make that mistake again. Instead they will use the population and their growing numbers to defeat us. If Americans don’t wake up to this fact…then we are all doomed.

Scorched_Earth on February 8, 2007 at 10:27 AM

Liberal democrats advocate for the US to emulate europe in ways large and small. Socialism anyone? This is another example of the left trying to catch up to europe. In their view we are insuficiently dhimmified in relation to enlightened europeans. Their love of multiculturalism requires a blind eye be turned to the actual meaning of his invocation. Thank God for the new media for sounding the alarm. One if by land, two if by sea, three if by infiltrating the democrat leadership.

Buck Turgidson on February 8, 2007 at 11:11 AM

Considering that the religion of Islam is historically and demonstratively wholly incompatable with Western democracy, ALL Americans should be OUTRAGED!

I wish democrats would end their occupation and oppression in this country. Nancys Jack boots are worrying me.

I seconded that! I’m sure the ACLU approved of this prayer.

Great Vent Robert Spencer! Your clear insight, solid rationale, and excellent commentary and clarity to events that seems hard to come by in this culture. Bravo Robert Spencer!

Robert Spencer’s commentary was perfect in it’s observations of the Left.

The United States is not the same nation as our forefathers because of the Left and their notions of multiculturalism. They do not understand that human social groupings require a bond, a cohesion, a sense of identification that brings unity and strength. As the Left continues to attack nationalism they erode our strength and provide opportunity for infiltration and the creation of disent by our enemies.

omegaram on February 8, 2007 at 12:18 PM

Yeah, can you imagine if a preacher had used the words “doomed by God”? Or even if someone prayed “in the name of Jesus” like Franklin Graham did at Bush’s inauguration. We would never hear the end of it from the left or the MSM.

vcferlita on February 8, 2007 at 12:50 PM

“Civilizations die from suicide, not from murder.” Toynbee.
Evidence of this simple concept occur every day.

liberty on February 8, 2007 at 1:12 PM

Is it just me or did the CSPAN crew switch to an alternate camera view, showing the crowd instead of the Imam, as the Imam was saying “doomed by God”? We are left with an audience shot rather than seeing the man’s lips move in sync with the audio during this key phrase. That’s a shame if so. I’ll need to watch it again.

I wonder if Pelosi or Clinton bowed their heads….

100% agree!

Once again I’m left with the question. Why hasn’t Hannity or Rush got Mr Spencer on their shows once in a while? Isn’t there enough room on the bandwagon?

Dhimmicrats.

Timber Wolf on February 8, 2007 at 2:07 PM

This looks more the like the preparations for a mass-beheading than a prayer meeting.

Or am I just being too prescient?

profitsbeard on February 8, 2007 at 2:25 PM

This is disturbing, on so many levels.

Democrats, who are normally against relgious influence in government, reverently bowing to Allah. Completely oblivious to the fact that the Imam helping them pray for their own destruction.

My emotions go from rage, to disgust, to just plain pitty for these foolish people.

We need to pray for these people ourselves, to open their eyes and ears to understan what exactly they are really asking for.

But then again, isn’t that just standard operating procedure for liberals – on just about every topic.

They bleat about freedom of speech – unless the speaker is someone they disagree with.

They prattle on about “hate crimes” – but let the perpetrator be non-white, and see if the marches and protest happen. (Are you following that case of the three white girls beaten almost to death by something like a dozen Blacks? Hear any liberals planning to march in the streets on that one?)

Or, hey – how about Amanda Marcotte, since she’s the popular topic of the week: if the Duke strippers had been white and it had happened at an all-Black fraternity … do you really think she would have taken the same positions?

It’s the liberal. There are no core values. Thus no consistency.

Professor Blather on February 8, 2007 at 2:59 PM

Thanks to the classy Robert Spencer for going out of his way to give me credit on my writing on Husham Al-Husainy, unlike Sean Hannity. And, moreover, for doing a better job–a better video package–on Al-Husainy and his invocation than anyone else. Kudos to Michelle and Hot Air for Robert’s weekly well-done segments. They are always excellent.

Debbie Schlussel on February 8, 2007 at 3:04 PM

Too bad they didn’t videotape the Allahu Akbars arising from the Dhimmicrats after the prayer. /sarcasm

Here’s what he said:

“In the name of God the most merciful, the most compassionate. We thank you, God, to bless us among your creations. We thank you, God, to make us as a great nation. We thank you God, to send us your messages through our father Abraham and Moses and Jesus and Muhammad. Through you, God, we unite. So guide us to the right path. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the people you doom. Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with justice and peace and love and equality. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation. Ameen.”

But here’s what this meant:

In the name of Allah (swt) the most merciful, the most compassionate. We thank you, God, to bless us Muslims among your creations. We thank you, God, to make us as a great nation of Islam. We thank you God, to send us your messages through our father Ibrahim (PBUH) and Musa (PGUH) and Isa (PBUH) and Muhammad (PGUH). Through you, God, we Muslims unite. So guide us to the right path of Islam. The path of the people you bless, not the path of the kuffar you doom. Help us God to liberate and fill this earth with sharia. And help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation of the kuffar. Ameen.

He fooled the Dems into praying for Islamic world domination.

PWNED!!!

Perhaps, next year, they can get a Satanist in to offer a subtly worded, multifaith benediction that actually praises Beelzebub!

We are of the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob => Through Jesus The Christ, we live through His atonement to be the only true religion of “God” the Merciful, CHRISTIANITY.
I am a Christian, I am a member of The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints, We are known as “Mormons”, but that was a derogatory name when we were first called that in mid nineteenth century.
We need to stop fighting among the sects of Christianity and unite against those who would kill us. The United States of America is the promise land spoke of in scripture set aside, by him, for Christians. It was Christ’s hand that guided the founding of this nation, the writting of the constitution, and the Holy Ghost who resides with us all to choose as we will to return to our Heavenly Father.
God Bless America, My Home, My love, My land.
