TiVo is now working with Nielsen to get info about who’s watching what. I used to have a Nielsen box – when I got my TiVo a few years ago they told me that it had to be a certain kind of TiVo for Nielsen to work.

Nielsen is old technology anyway and totally ridiculous. It’s the equivalent of the box I used to use for cable in 1982. Trying to hook it up to my home theatre system was like square peg in round hole Daniel San.

Go back and look at Jon Stewart’s first few episodes of Short Attention Span Theater on The Comedy Channel. You’d be lying if you said Stewart was humorous or interesting.

Well, yeah but John Stewart still isn’t humorous or interesting. Anyway, I need to watch this show.

The other guests on the show are professional journalists and political commentators.

Journalists and political commentators, while often interesting personalities, are not comedians.

Therefore it would be safe to say that at this point RedEye is sometimes humorous and often interesting. It’s not OMFG LOL!!!!1!!! every joke, but this is their 3rd show on the air…

CNB Freaking C. Where the spots about Bugattis, Lambos, Ferraris, and top of the line Benz’s are actually service journalism that a substantial fraction of the audience can afford. The Brioni suit demographic and they’re advertising that crap?

My GF wouldn’t speak to me if she got that for valentine’s. Agent Provocateur at a minimum, if not La Perla. But then I’m in the DealBreaker demographic.

Just remember: don’t let content of material affect your judgement of whether it was funny or not.

You know… considering the unending ads for: Vermont Teddy Bear and Pajama-Grams…not to mention the first topic ever aired on the show was porn….

I’ve got to wonder if Red Eye’s target Demographic is “Horny Males age 18-40″

The bonus is that at 2AM, Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim Block goes into Re-runs, so they basically have no competition.

Imagine if every news series actually noted how they are/were incorrect and issued clear-cut corrections in a daily “Ombudsman moment”.
