FOX News:

Jimmy Carter has accused an international Jewish human rights group [Simon Wiesenthal Center] of “falsehood and slander” for launching a petition that resulted in thousands of signatures being sent to the former president in protest of his controversial book about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Here is the very brief note Carter sent to the Simon Wiesenthal Center:

To Rabbi Marvin Hier

I don’t believe that Simon Wiesenthal would have resorted to falsehood and slander to raise funds.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Carter

Funny thing though, the Center’s press release said nothing about money. Was Carter trying to insult Jews by implying there is money involved?

Maybe it’s those darn “New York money people” that Wes Clark warned us about!!!

Holy God. It’s always about “the Jews and money”, isn’t it? I guess when you go senile your prejudices emerge in full force, don’t they.

Well duh!
It’s not really an insult, though, everyone knows that Jews The New York Money Men wouldn’t slander the good name of James Earl Carter unless money were involved.

I’ve often thought that he has a nasty side to him – he’s revealing it more and more, lately – simply doesn’t know when to stop digging. He’s constantly looking for a manhole, through which he can enter the sewer.

Or, he’s looking for grace and keeps running into manholes…

Entelechy on February 7, 2007 at 9:18 PM

Keep digging, Jimmy- that hole’s almost deep enough to bury what’s left of your legacy.

Dear Jimmah;

As a soldier during your ‘malaise’ all I can say is bawahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Limerick on February 7, 2007 at 9:26 PM

Jimmy is headed for rehab.

Doh…. Looks like Jimmy Boy has run aground again….

Uh, “President” Carter? Here’s a FLASH for you: They didn’t. You, however, are another matter entirely.

Former President Carter was last seen driving across the country wearing diapers heading towards the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

Go back to the Peanut farm, you nut!

To Rabbi Marvin Hier,

I don’t believe that Simon Wiesenthal would have given Jimmah Carter the time of day.

Sincerely,

Yasser Arafat… I truly do miss my Jimmah.

poor little hateful turd of a man. He will be so lonely in his Secret Service protected padded cell…crying about the fate of Israel and Palestine.

shooter on February 7, 2007 at 10:25 PM

I’m very impressed that a man Jimmy Carter’s age is still healthy enough to get out there and jump sharks. All that clean living I guess.

Laura on February 7, 2007 at 10:35 PM

Read Teddy White’s The Making Of The President, or watch the 1976 Carter-Ford debates. Most of us choose to forget all about those years, but he was a vicious, first class son of a bitch back then, too.

Is it just me, or is this the intellectual equivalent of calling them “meany-heads”? I mean, if you want to get tough then make a freakin’ point! Call them out by explaining how you feel they have slandered you and are doing so for the purpose of raising funds. Oh, wait…this is Jimmuh we’re talking about? On second thought, let them take several members of your family hostage and do nothing about it.

Just wait–he’s about to announce his boycott of the 2007 New York Money People Olympics. And he’s not going to sell them any wheat, either. That’ll show ‘em.

ReubenJCogburn on February 7, 2007 at 11:31 PM

Everyone (with a brain) already agreed that Carter was a disastrously bad President and an ideological leftist. His actions over the last few years have served to remind us all that he is also remarkably small of spirit, vindictive, and stupid.

The Incredible, Shrinking Ex-President.

Dawygyear- I am ashamed that I am from the same country as Jimmah.
People like Carter and Kerry are so out of touch that just like a runaway train they crash and burn while everyone around them tries to help them stop.
Simon Wiesenthal dedicated his life to bringing justice to all Nazi’s that participated in the Holocaust. He did so within the constraints of international law and was meticulous and relentless. His vision was that the world NEVER forget the atrocities of the Nazis – and that none went unpunished. After Carter’s work to help a Nazi murderer to safety was brought to light it seems to me Mr Wiesenthal would have lead the petition drive!! Carters note is so indignant that I hope Rabbi Heir response was to say a quiet prayer for Carter – Kaddish! Dig Jimmah Dig – deeper. Go away – again – please.

iam7545 on February 7, 2007 at 11:54 PM

I still find it hard to believe that this man was actually a President of the United States. His partisan support of our enemies amazes me.

Funny thing though, the Center’s press release said nothing about money.

But Ian, there’s a “Donate Now” link in the sidebar. Obviously, the Money People at the Center created this false and slanderous petition drive solely for the purpose of creating yet another page on which to put their donation link.

Uh, Jimmah, is it, uh, still slander if it’s true? Is that why you said “falsehood and slander?” Falsehood if the charges are false, and slander if the charges are true? You are a Nazi sympathiser, you pathetic, played out putz.

Nobody needs to slander you jhimmah. Everything they say is true. You are a miserable example for America, and your little nail pounding project is the best thing about your pitiful life. Just admit you are senile, and go away. You are one of the Biggest mistakes that America has ever made.

R D on February 8, 2007 at 2:15 AM

Maybe it’s me, but it seems really ironic that Jimmuh Cartah, who has built his post disastrous presidency career on slandering Jews would wrtie a letter to a Jewish organization demanding they stop slandering him.

As Lewis Black would say: There’s a joke in there somewhere, but I’m not that funny!

Wolfman on February 8, 2007 at 4:24 AM

“Falsehood and slander”?

You mean like accusing Israel of “apartheid” and implying that Palestinian terrorist bombings are a legitimate response to Israel’s “occupation”? Is that what you’re talking about, Jimmy?

Ali-Bubba on February 8, 2007 at 5:59 AM

What a sad, bitter old man.

Ronald Reagan embraced his “long goodnight” with class and dignity. Jimmy will continue to spew nonsense until they forceably put him in diapers and a bib and lok him away.

BacaDog on February 8, 2007 at 9:13 AM

lock, not lok

BacaDog on February 8, 2007 at 9:14 AM

Those Jews, always after the money, even when they don’t ask for it. Jimmy knows all about those money grabbing Jews.
The more Carter says, the more obvious it becomes…there are too many Jews.
What a pathetic man he has become. But still a leader in the democratic party. This is your party democrats, live with it.

and the guilt was enough for me to never miss another
