Hope to give it to my mom (who only gets her news from ABC News – you can guess what she thinks….).

I got my mom to read “culture warrior”. Even though she was conservative on some issues, she has turned into a screaming banshee culture warrior! Her remark to me was that she didn’t realize how she had let her traditional values slip little by little over time and how stark the differences are now, compared to “back in her day”. She’s 72 this year. I wish I could get my wife to read it…..she thinks we should have (and still should) nuke Iraq, Iran, N Korea etc. “Turn the place into a glass parking lot” are her exact words. She wants a T-shirt that says “Kill em all and let God sort em out”. I think she could benefit from the distiction Bill makes between dems and S-P’s.

Anyway, I am looking forward to “Outside the Wire” and once I see it will probably buy copies for my more ignorant family, friends, and neighbors.

Something interesting I learned from David Hardy talking about his new DVD "In Search of The Second Amendment" (Of Arms & The Law (his blog) and Order Here (the site for the movie)) If JD chooses to do so, he can grant us a license to show Outside The Wire on our local cable access channels, just as Mr. Hardy is doing.

I just bought mine. Great idea, Michelle, about all the war protesters/media/etc seeing this film. Unfortunately, I think it’d just be falling on deaf ears; they’d just point out how dumb the troops are for WANTING to serve.

Just the same, however, I’m going to show this to my mom; hopefully it’ll go a little way towards convincing her of the justness of the cause.
