The issue is how his comments exposed a hilarious bigotry toward blacks, by separating Obama from all other black men who have run for public office as noteworthy for his articulation, cleanliness, and good looks.

How many black men have run for president? How many matched Obama with regards to the attributes Biden mentioned?

The more I see and hear Rosie’s comments the more dishonest, bias, prejudiced, and mean spirited she appears to be.

He meant exactly what he said. “He cleans up well”. “He has a business suit”. “He doesn’t have gold teeth”. “He doesn’t have a fro or dreads”. “His pants aren’t baggy”.

“Articulate” was enough. That he is good looking seems to be an unusual trait – to him.

Republicans better get some black folks out in front to “keep it real”. We need a few bull dogs to take it to them.

As a black Republican/Conservative, I say this for the record – my fellows it is time for a “race war” with the Democrats. “Soft Bigotry” was the smallest of starts. This intimidated Democrats greatly. Recalling Lincoln will not do anymore.

I took it to mean “deft,” and “not carrying baggage.” A smooth operator. Someone without any skeletons in his closet (as of yet). I’m usually the first one to point out left-wing racism (e.g. affirmative action), but people are really overreacting to Biden here. The comments were a compliment. Not a backhanded compliment. A genuine compliment.

From my viewpoint, it is as if Biden were looking directly at Al Sharpton when thinking of what to say, and still he comes up with something more negative and insulting than I ever would have…and I couldn’t think much less of Sharpton. But I certainly don’t think he’s unclean, and no less than John Derbyshire has acclaimed him the best political orator in America.

Biden is an idiot who has no idea what’s going to come out of his mouth, even at the instant that he opens it.

That is the fat lady’s line when a comback is needed when addressing a conservative quote. She’s used it before.

No. I thought he meant we don’t know of any bribes he’s taken, unlike Kofi and Kojo Annan, William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, Alcee Hastings, or other black folks who abused their political power. (Or whites who have done so, but he did specifically refer to race.)

Now he didn’t come right out and say that; maybe he meant that there are other black politicians who are clean and good-looking, but not articulate, or clean and articulate but not good-looking. Or clean, good-looking and articulate, but not black.

There is no way to read what he said that isn’t insulting, unless you have a double standard that treats Lott and Limbaugh as automatically guilty of being racists when they mention race, but give a pass to Dems.

I wish Hasselbeck had a spine. I wish she would get in that fat slime’s face and make her answer the question.

I can’t imagine it’s easy to defend your position when the rest of the panel is composed of chimps slinging crap. Especially when one of them weighs four hundred pounds and threatens to sit on you frequently. Anyway, I have no further comment because I didn’t, and won’t watch the clip.

Regardless, I have to say that this show is quickly becoming more sleazy than the Jerry Springer show.

I’m sorry to hear that your sick. My mother passed away last August from lung, bone, and brain cancer. She never smoked, it started in her lungs, and spread into her back and brain. They put her on Iressa and that worked wonders for a couple of years. Then it stopped working and it was all downhill from there. She squeezed out three years with stage four lung cancer. Ain’t bad. She was a tough lady.

Anyway, I hope your problem isn’t anywhere as bad my mother’s. Stick to the chemo regimen and I’ll say a prayer for you.

A genuine compliment. Drudge et al are taking his words out of context and twisting their meaning.

Let me just say first that I really enjoy Sarah’s work. That aside, I found it interesting to note how they all found her repeated use of the N-bomb not only acceptable but downright adorable.

It’s no secret that Sarah enjoys pushing the politically-incorrect envelope, but I’ve always thought it odd how no one ever appears to challenge her on it.
