What I like about Fox that MSNBC so blatantly seems to miss is at least Fox is honest about it’s bias. You know Hannity’s a conservative, you know Colmes is a liberal, you know where O’Reilly stands on issues before he starts making his case on it.

Watching MSNBC is a joke. Matthews and Olberman pretends they are these great voices (and sources) of “objectivity” while praising every liberal and condemning every conservative out there. I’m just not sure if they are in denial and believe the garbage they’re shoveling as objective or they’re really aware of just how bias they are and they think they are scamming people by feeding them their liberal ideals as mainstream views?

I’ll never forget my first classic case of liberal bias I viewed about 5 years ago on Hardball after the President’s State of the Union speech. Matthews had on Ted Kennedy and with repulsive. He ask “softball” questions Teddy hit out of the park, gave him an open forum to say just anything he wanted and Matthews kidded and joked with him about Kennedy having him up to his house to go hunting and for dinner. Heck, I thought for a moment that Matthews was going to offer to babysit Kennedys’ grandkids.

The very next segment, he had on a Republican senator (can’t remember who) who he relentlessly attacked, yelled at and was basically rude with at every opportunity. Verrrrry unbias of you Matthews.

FYI: Doesn’t that woman in the MSNBC commercial look like the kind of indecisive, uninformed twit…errrr…I mean viewer that would watch their shows. Couldn’t resist that parting shot….lol.

Just think, if they from 0 viewers to 1 viewer or from 100 to 200 viewers, that’s a 100% increase in just 1 day!

Frankly, I gave up on most of FOX too. But I’m hooked on HA.

honora, sometimes I toy with the idea that some day we’ll have a HA convention and those who care to volunteer will get on stage, perform skits, and the audience guesses what their pen-names are…

I bet your skit will contain stats on MSNBC’s upward trend, and a few snarky remarks about your HA righties :) Then I’d get up and say, in a Sweedish-like accent, “Ladies and gentlemen of HA, honora is my friend (some in the audience will boo, but not too intensely), and as AP said “you’re no fool”, and that’s a huge compliment from our deity, not our diety, but honora, lady, there are lies, damned lies and statistics”…and we hug, and the audience smiles, and the party goes on…

It’s only a question of if, when and where.

Now two unknowing people instead of just one.

It used to be said of a certain magazine (which I won’t name as I like it): Q. How do you keep an American UNinformed? A. Hide his copy of _______. …then… Q. How do you keep him MISinformed? A. Find it for him.

I would submit that between Keith Olberman and Chris Mathews, that applies now to MSNBC, which does a pretty good job at misinforming Americans.

Distortions, exaggerations, historic revisionism, lying by omission – all tried and true tools of propagandists – have a warm home at MSNBC.

When I am channel surfing I only see that disgusting image for a fraction (a tiny fraction) of a second before it is gone from my screen. That way I am not slimed or have that unpleasant noise in my ear for more than a microsecond.

On Hot Air though I almost always watch the entire video (even the longer links)- so please give us a content rating (Disgusting Troll Ahead!) before blasting the Olberdouche on my screen (I am still wiping the green slime off my monitor).

Also, I really thank you for removing that Troll from your sidebar – that was really in bad taste (you know, green, slimy, smelly, stupid, ignorant, bleeting, well, you fill in the rest of the blanks for the page ___________________

What I’ve noticed about ALL the news channels, especially in the evening, is that they tend to report what I read three days ago on a blog. And it’s usually far less in depth.

I’ve always liked how MSNBC refers to itself as “America’s fastest-growing news channel.” When you’re in last place, you have nowhere to go but up.

Both were launched in 1996 and Fox has 2.6x the number of viewers for “full day” and >3x the number of viewers in “Prime Time” — to use honora’s numbers. Cannot deny that MSNBC grew at a faster pace in the past year, but they are still miles behind. And still promoting Olby…gack!

honora — I truly think you are one of the most reasonable liberals here, but I would really love to see the break-down of the guests in any given day on the Fox shows vs. MSNBC shows. Do you honestly think that MSNBC has more conservative speakers than Fox has liberals?

I object to smugness for one. This notion that MSNBC is so far behind and can never catch up–it’s nonsense.

I really dislike Olbermann’s commentaries–he is so overbearingly pompous! I resent it as I do enjoy the program in general, particularly the oddball stuff. Also like some of his regular guests–Isinoff (sp?) especially, and the guy with the southern accent (my mind is mush today).

I agree that the prime stuff is leaning very left–it’s becoming the equivalent of FoxNews–the very thing it derides–but on the other side. Sadly, it is finding that commercially appealing.
