Someday he’s going to retire. And when he does, the conservative blogosphere will never be the same.

The special counsel ruled that because the broadcast was allowed because of incorrect legal advice, the only punishment would be that KSC must educate employees and contractors about the political campaigning laws.

Better idea: get rid of that accursed abortion known as McCain-Feingold. The very idea that the broadcast of a stump speech should be illegal is a bald-faced violation of the spirit and letter of the First Amendment.

The blue ketchup’s a nice touch.

But no, we won’t miss him. He’s already jumped the bunny — er, shark.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on January 30, 2007 at 1:47 PM

spmat, sounds more like the Hatch Act than McCain-Feingold.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on January 30, 2007 at 1:48 PM

Just focus in on the teeth. You wont be able to keep it together. He should do the right thing and hand in his passport.

If there was anything worth breaking an election law for, it was for that photo op.

Thanks for showing us from where Kerry came. Do all people from Mass. look this way or is just their elected representatives?

I think the bunny suit was more of a violation of good taste, judgment, common sense, and fashion, than of law.

The ignominy continues.

He was against looking like an idiot before he looked like an idiot.

Ahhh, memories! I can recall someone posting an absurb pic of Bush on a forum back in ’04. I warned them, but they didn’t listen. I threw down this pic of Kerry-tubby and it was over. Game, set, match. This is the Holy Grail of “oh, ya? You-asked-for-it” pictures. It’s like playing rock/paper/scissors, but instead of dropping the rock, you drop a 76 Caprice Classic. Game. Over.

Funny how there’s no mention of the fact that Kerry violated the law by actually making the stump speech. I guess the law doesn’t pertain to members of Congress. After all, they’re the ones actually making the campaign speeches.

I wasn’t blogging then but there must have been some references to “moonbats” and “take me to your leader” at the time.

It reminds me of Dukakis’ little juant in the tank in 1988.

I agree with you that McCain-Foolsgold is bad law, but you missed the point of the problem. It is against the law for government workers to campaign for politicians at work, during working hours (off work, on their own time, and off government property, there is no problem). The law that was broken was the fact that official government-owned facilities were used to publicize ‘Jon Cary’ at tax-payer expense. THAT’S what caused the actual problem. But I personally agree that the photo-op was worth it!

I am leaving MAssachusetts ..I am tired of being blamed for these two boobs..Kerry and Kennedy…When I listen to talk radio I am even more baffled how they get elected because the incoming calls continually profess derision towards both of them–!!

Mellen on January 30, 2007 at 9:11 PM

Makes me wanna tatoo something on my butt and e-mail McCain an election law violation of my own.

We thought we’d miss the Gorebot but we got Dean-o, when Dean-o fizzled we got Lurch. I think Hillarity Ramrod will be just as satisfying.
