So, why don’t you just sit down and take that there gum out of your mouth so that you can articulate a little more coherently?

Mr. Olbermann happens to be Jewish. The name could be any you enumerated, also German and a few other…but I do find you simpatico when you ‘eat crow’, especially when you initiate it, even if something you disagree with set you off…

Nothing like self-deprecation, and many of us need a bit more of it. Many, you included, are able to serve it and not to take it. Blogging/commenting, by its nature requires a bit of both and taking a deep breath before hitting the ‘submit’ button, or before typing in the first place. Easier said than done.

Professionally I spend much time with many people who believe, vote, live, look, act, react, dress, speak, learn/don’t learn, advocate, etc. very differently from the way I do. They are my clients and it w/b suicidal to insult them. However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t have much fun with them, in good spirits, sometimes with humor, other times by teaching/learning. The main thing is to never go overboard, and to respect the person, regardless.

Often I don’t comment on some of the threads, not because I wouldn’t want to say something, but I prevent the insults that w/b hurled at me, and in reverse.

You, honora, are someone I’d love to have dinner with. I know in my heart of hearts that we’d get along well, for many reasons, while we’d disagree on politics. None of us could ever change the other, and I would never attempt to, as I never do with anyone. Religion and politics s/b a personal choice. There is so much more than politics to life, though.

A very friendly advice, though, and I have tried before – please do not insult others, lose your temper, become ossified, sarcastic, and then demand the reverse from anyone else, here or elsewhere. And once, please just once, please say something like:

- Jane Fonda is wrong when she claims the millions died after we left Viet Nam, because we went in there in the first place, or

- Rosie and the Donald are both scum

Not lecturing – just trying to say that I’ve learned these things the hard way. I grew up being taught (not by my parents) that sarcasm was a virtue. Those of us aflicted with it, can’t fully get away from it – but we can temper it and not demand more of others than we serve.

That means that some 3000 American patriots and heros have given their life for Freedom for those oppressed in Iraq…compared to the 40,000,000 plus innocent unborn who have given their lives for what exactly, in the liberal democrats war on the innocent unborn?

No, these are nothing but baby murdering seditious traitors. They are people who, rather than getting choked up with compassion and pride at a song like the old Green Beret, sneer at such with loathing, disgust, and ill will in their hearts when they hear it, just like they do when they see an American flag.
