I wish I could have seen the whole thing. MarcH, the Phillips link was excellent. I would have liked to have heard Murray’s talk. I did go to Pipes’ site and there’s some good information there, as well. Pipes is an excellent speaker, calm, well spoken, just the facts. This is great.

the part that really gets me in that whole discussion is where the conservative rattles off quotes from liberals calling America a fascist nation a terrorist nation etc.

The idiots clapped. Ok. Big deal. They do that all the time. What’s the point?

The point is they clapped and cheered when they were reading OBL’s quotes as well.

Interesting to see which side they’re on, and they’re not ashamed to display it.

I thought that was extremely telling.

Red Ken is preaching to the choir. The U.S. invented acceptance of varied cultures. Hey Ken, ever read the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. We are the melting pot, a virtual fondue of cultures and ethnicity. He mentions the mega populated countries of China and India are emerging as economic super powers in the 21st century. Good for them, God Bless India and China. Those poor people are picking themselves up by the bootstraps. The EU is trying to change the course of events. They are the ones in dire straights. The attack on Iraq cost them dearly in unpaid debt from Saddam. President Bush closed the oil for food cash faucet on them. That is the source of Bush hatred. Lets not forget France, especially France! We better get behind the President, cause he knows what he’s doing. The EU are trying to hold the whole country hostage and put the squeeze on us. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave. This is proof that our system works coupled with the blessings of our natural resources and our Independance. Contrary to the song from San Francisco this city was not build on rock and roll, more like blood, sweat, and tears. The signers of the Declaration of Independance , might have been a bunch of renagade outlaws but they were Gods renagade out laws.

Horrid video and that clown bored me to tears, he’s miserable at speaking,, long drawn out, and I had to concentrate to listen and understand his horrible dry accent…

as for content,, it sounds like he loves handing his country over to muslims..

Ugh. The audio on the first video is bad, but it is even worse once it gets to Pipes… and the camerawork was only slightly better than the Saddam execution video. Does anyone know if there is a transcript of this debate available anywhere?

Its nice that Livingstone is sensitive to the needs of 16 year old muslim women but I don’t think I’d make any decisions on the fate of all of civilisation based on teenage opinion.
