First point, the Congress is not involved with deployment. They are however involved in the placement of US bases and base closings, but as I understand it, that still is under the fund don’t fund power.

Conyers is speaking what most Democrat politicians are wanting to do. Conyers isn’t considered a leader in the party and he has risen to the highest level that he will so he doesn’t mince words like Pelosi or Reid.

Most of the Dems understand that they can be ripped apart if they do to the Iraqis what they did to the South Vienamese; at least if they do it too soon. They will wait and make gestures like the upcoming vote of no confidence. They’ll disapprove troop surges, additional armament, rules of interrogation, etc. In other words, they’ll do all they can lose the war but still blame Bush.

The Dems want to defund the war. Well it’s a start. Here’s the plan. Errode patriotism, defund the war, dismantle the military, destroy the economy , reinstitute welfare to it’s former glory days, gun control, gun registration, political correctness, gloom and doom in the msm, party hearty, drugs for every one (health care), spike the crime rate. I lived through the Democrat program agenda days from Kennedy to Carter, in my home town of Camden, New Jersey So I must say I couldn’t have prouder on Friday night, you see my home town finally made to the #1 one spot in the USA. I was bust in my bottons. Diane Sawyer chose to start laying the ground work for the welfare crew, on 20/20. They high lighted the poorest city in the U.S., which also holds the #1 murder rate (or did) in the U.S. Well low and behold Camden, New Jersey. I graduated High school there and attended Rutgers University south campus in 1972. I guess Dianne was trying to evoke sympathy for the lad she chose to interview. She took the cameras in his house and showed the broken plaster walls, and the lack of heat and partial electricity. Diane joined the lad in the living room where he was doing his homework. The boy stated he was determined to graduate to honor his hard working father.OK The father shows up with a rolled up news paper swatting the infestation of cucarachas in the kitchen. WTF I’m like hey Pancho get a clue my family were immigrants from sicily and when there was a crack in the wall you got up and patched it. My grandmother used to scrub her marble stoop in Philly OUTSIDE the house. She used to boil the bed sheets. The Federal government has dumped truck loads of money in that city, phone numbers worth! Housing and education, program after program for 40 years. It doesn’t work folks. I ain’t buying it! I’m starting the GOYA program Get Off Your Ass! Monty Python even knew that the parrot is dead. While Conyers is expounding on the Constitution might he explain how the unconstitutional organization known as the Congressional Black Caucus is allowed to exist? In the very seat of government no less. Supported by US taxpayer $$$$$$. Is it any wonder that these lefties are unpatriotic, they don’t even abide by our Constitution, although it has been rewritten to suit their purposes.

I always liked the saying “Lest We Forget”. Well folks it looks like some of us forgot that saying at the last election. These people (Dems) aren’t fooling around their going for the jugular. We are in a fight for our existance, dare I say lives. If there is such a majority where are the rallies in DC. We need a show of support for THE U.S.A.
