I don’t think we disagree. Notice I didn’t find near as much fault with the young man, but the enablers of his decision. I know hundreds of singles between the ages of 18 and 35, and without intending to being unkind, a number of them will likely remain that way because of a lack of attractiveness, or mental capacity. And I don’t believe any of them would make this choice. In spite of all the pop culture examples to the contrary, there remain many in America who believe that only within marriage should a bed be shared.

Until you’ve experienced connubial bliss at a flea market, you haven’t lived.

I have to admit, though…as schmlatzy as it sounds, being a parent really is the most amazing thing that I’ve ever experienced. It’s not always the most fun ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Ditto. 3yr old daughter asleep upstairs. Good thing about the blogging is it can be done quietly.

No need to be depressed. If you and your spouse are still being creative about handling interruptions and keeping that sense of humor 20 years from now you’ll be fine. Just one part of the whole recipe that makes it all so fun.

Good point. A sense of humor does help.

My daughter is only 10 months old, so her disturb-the-parents-fu is still in the early stages. It’s slightly depressing (but good warning) to know it will likely continue after she moves out of the house.

Right is right, wrong is wrong, and my sympathy (or anyone else’s) for his condition and his position doesn’t change that. Of course, if you’re an atheist then there is no moral foundation to the universe, and you can do whatever you wish as long as you can justify it to yourself.

This story was linked on a type of Catholic Drudge Report yesterday and has sparked a lot of Catholic outrage at the “Catholic” nun (i.e. liberal posing as a Catholic nun) who supported the prostitute visiting the handicapped guy (in total opposition to all Catholic doctrine). The poor guy is not only handicapped but also has some really idiotic parents.

This story demonstrates to what depths that liberal England, which used to be a great empire, has sunk to.

There is a third – kids. Once the kids come along you will be surprised how little money you have and to add insult to injury how little time for sex because of energy spent on the kids and busting your hump to make enough money to support them.
