Buck,

I don't think we disagree. Notice I didn't find near as much fault with the young man, but the enablers of his decision. I know hundreds of singles between the ages of 18 and 35, and without intending to being unkind, a number of them will likely remain that way because of a lack of attractiveness, or mental capacity. And I don't believe any of them would make this choice. In spite of all the pop culture examples to the contrary, there remain many in America who believe that only within marriage should a bed be shared.

Until you've experienced connubial bliss at a flea market, you haven't lived.

Broaden your horizons.

(No kids yet, but that may be because of the genuine vintage French Letters.)

I have to admit, though…as schmlatzy as it sounds, being a parent really is the most amazing thing that I’ve ever experienced. It’s not always the most fun ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

No need to be depressed. If you and your spouse are still being creative about handling interruptions and keeping that sense of humor 20 years from now you’ll be fine. Just one part of the whole recipe that makes it all so fun.

Good point. A sense of humor does help.

A lot.

LOL it’s not just you - don’t know how old your’s are but even when they begin to move out this sixth sense continues — “good time to drop by and see the folks” or “think I’ll give them a call”

My daughter is only 10 months old, so her disturb-the-parents-fu is still in the early stages. It's slightly depressing (but good warning) to know it will likely continue after she moves out of the house.

I understand your point Freelancer. I would not have suggested he hire a prostitute, but if it's his wish, I have a hard time condemming it. I care about morality too, but I draw a distinction between those who choose promiscuity as a lifestyle and those who want to know what the hell sex is before they die.
(I just can't seem to stay out of trouble today.)

So, morality is truly down the drain. Count me in the judgemental column, but not aimed at the disabled young man, rather everyone who "supported" his decision. Nobody, ever, knows what tomorrow may bring. He's not old enough to have decided he'll never meet miss Right, and his argument has been the justification used by every hormone-driven wolf throughout history.

"I'm off to war tomorrow, and I can't bear the thought that I might die having never known a woman..."

Right is right, wrong is wrong, and my sympathy (or anyone else's) for his condition and his position doesn't change that. Of course, if you're an atheist then there is no moral foundation to the universe, and you can do whatever you wish as long as you can justify it to yourself.

Come on Randy. I know you have a thicker skin than that. In fact, I’ve witnessed it in other dialogues you’ve been a part of. Maybe you’re just trying to generate comment.

Thick skin is firmly attached... But someone was unjustly basically calling me a jerk, so it was necessary to explain how ridiculous their emotional reaction was.

Very nice parody. I missed the "onion" at the top, and made it almost to the end before I realized that it was just a tad too over the top to be real.

Of course, the fact that some of you knuckleheads not only fell for it, but arguing about it, makes it even funnier.

“It was not emotionally fulfilling, but the lady was very pleasant and very understanding. I do not know whether I would do it again. I would much rather find a girlfriend, but I have to be realistic.”

This story was linked on a type of Catholic Drudge Report yesterday and has sparked a lot of Catholic outrage at the "Catholic" nun (i.e. liberal posing as a Catholic nun) who supported the prostitute visiting the handicapped guy (in total opposition to all Catholic doctrine). The poor guy is not only handicapped but also has some really idiotic parents.

This story demonstrates to what depths that liberal England, which used to be a great empire, has sunk to.

Um, everyone knows the second link is fiction, right?

It’s true in the larger sense, to be sure. But technically speaking: fiction.

LOL and I have no doubt if I were 41, single and without kids my opinion about sexual compatibility would be identical to yours - would elaborate but have to go change a diaper!

"Sometimes I think, 'If I have to hear that grating voice for one more second, I'll kill us both,'" Klein said. "But then I remember all the nights I spent crying myself to sleep holding a body pillow, and I find the strength to love again."

Haha, that's what it's all about.

Um…Yes! Sexual compatibility is extremely important. Is it most important? I’d say most definately. What are the two most frequent things couples argue about? Sex and money.

There is a third - kids. Once the kids come along you will be surprised how little money you have and to add insult to injury how little time for sex because of energy spent on the kids and busting your hump to make enough money to support them.
Keep a good sense of humor and enjoy the umm ride.

Can’t say as I agree. Is sex the best and most important part of relationships to you?
