[...] Yeah, I’ll bet they do. They need Khamenei’s permission, though, before they can go ahead with the formation of a “friendship committee.” If he grants it, it could be another sign that Ahmadinejad’s influence is waning and the powers that be are trending towards the pragmatists.
[...] It’s the sort of thing that usually involves Waffles, not Dean, and tends to happen in front of crowds, not behind closed doors, but it comes from the same not-in-my-name impulse that’s tying the Dems in knots now over their withdrawal plans. They’re looking for a way to take control of the war without “owning” it, ownership being reserved for Bush alone. Same with foreign policy: it’s not America’s, it’s his, which is why Dean can be so casual in admitting to having flouted it and Hillary can be so cavalier about the prospect of ethnic cleansing in Iraq. Why should she have to worry about that as president? That’s Bush’s mess, not America’s. [...]

[...] And just when you think it can’t get worse, Allah points out who Kerry was sitting right next to while spouting his wisdom: He said this while seated next to the former CEO of one of the world’s foremost terrorist states, which as we speak is working on building nuclear weapons, bankrolling Hezbollah’s efforts to foment civil war in Lebanon and Hamas’s exterminationist jihad against Israel, and supplying Shiite militias with IEDs to kill American soldiers in Iraq. Whose current leadership, lest we forget, Kerry has previously signaled a desire to meet with. Note the bolded bit in the quote, too: given a direct choice between defending the president or siding with the Iranian government circa 2003 — whose nominal leader was, of course, Khatami himself — Lurch essentially chose the latter. Then he signed an autograph for the pig. The same pig who, six months ago, defended executing gays for the crime of homosexuality. [...]

[...] I really didn’t want to “blog’ about Kerry - believing that the loser will always be a loser - why waste the time. He can’t even generate sufficient funds within in his own party to mount a 2008 Presidential campaign. However, the video clip of his remarks is posted on HotAir and they are even more disgusting then the printed report. So, I couldn’t restrain from commenting. This man is a patriot, right? - Wrong! He is THE Pariah! Stumble it! [...]

He can’t even generate sufficient funds within in his own party to mount a 2008 Presidential campaign.
Steyn on Kerry from Sep 04. Classic:

http://www.marksteyn.com/index2.cfm?edit_id=35

....."If it weren't for the small matter of the war for civilization, I'd find it hard to resist a Kerry presidency. Groucho Marx once observed that an audience will laugh at an actress playing an old lady pretending to fall downstairs, but for a professional comic to laugh, it has to be a real old lady. That's how I feel about the Kerry campaign. For the professional political analyst, watching Mondale or Dukakis or Howard Dean stuck in the part of the guy who falls downstairs is never very satisfying: They're average, unexceptional fellows whom circumstances have conspired to transform into walking disasters. But Senator Kerry was made for the role: a vain thin-skinned droning blueblood with an indestructible sense of his own status but none at all of his own ridiculousness. If Karl Rove had labored for a decade to produce a walking parody of the contemporary Democratic party's remoteness, condescension, sense of entitlement, public evasiveness, and tortured relationship with military matters, he couldn't have improved on John F. Kerry."

Soothsayer

You are correct in your "interpretation." Jesus is our judge or advocate to the father, God. The reason is that he spent 30 + years on earth as a physical man. He knew what it was for man to suffer, sin or be righteous. You are also right in that the "Old Testament" has been nailed to the cross and a "New Testament" is now in place to show us how to live our lives. The Old Testament is great for history and learning how we sin -- the New Testament shows us how we overcome our sins. A New testament occurs at the death of the testator. Jesus Christ is the New Testament.

Yay. Criticism of our nation, of our President, starts at the shoreline.

Clinton, Carter, Kerry. All of them. Loyalty has no meaning. Democrats are loyal to their party alone.

Soothsayer on January 28, 2007 at 6:22 PM

Thanks for straightning me out, I am honored to be judged by such a person as you. You obviously know me better than Christ does. How fortunate that you know more than the Holy Spirit. Why do we need a god, when we have you? No offense, but I will only allow God to judge me, certainly not someone who has only see a few hundred words on a blog.
However, you apparently overlooked this part of the quote from the bible, so let me re-write it for you.

"For out of the heart come evil thoughts, ... false testimony, slander. These are what make a man ‘unclean..."

BTW, we will let God dole out the punishment, you are just along for the ride.
