Hannity to air controversial scene removed from “Path to 9/11”

posted at 1:16 pm on January 26, 2007 by Allahpundit

Sunday night at 9. Will free speech zealot Hammerin’ Harry Reid threaten Fox’s broadcast license for showing it?

Fox News recorded video of the unedited scene during a January 19 speech given by “Path” writer-producer Cyrus Nowrasteh at California State University, Channel Islands, in Camarillo, where he explained his side of the story and screened the footage. Because it was a public event, Fox News said, it was able to record the video and the speech.

“Hannity’s America” senior producer John Finley said Fox News captured about 2-1/2 minutes of unedited footage and plans to show the scene, said to be of good quality, in its entirety as part of a roughly 15-minute segment centered around the scene itself. During the segment, Sean Hannity will interview Nowrasteh as well as Michael Scheuer, the former CIA agent who created and advised a secret CIA unit for tracking and eliminating bin Laden.

We have a few more readers now than we did back in early September, when the “Path” frenzy erupted, so some of you might have missed this the first time around. I’m not 100% sure this is the scene Hannity’s planning to show, but I’m 95% sure. “Edited” is what actually made it onto the air; “Unedited” is what ABC was planning to show before the left went ballistic at the thought of fictionalized scenes being used to depict the Clenis’s miserable, abject failure in fighting terrorism. The man on the video screen who pulls the plug is supposed to be former NSA/notorious document thief Sandy Berger. Enjoy.

this is going to sound super dorky, but i’ve already edited the missing footage back in in my teevo’d copy of path.

this is going to sound even more dorky. I have a downloaded copy of “The Bible Says” because I thought it was so hilarious. It was taken off the internet pretty quick, so if anyone is looking for a copy, just let me know and I can email it to ya. I have it in mpeg4 and mp3.

freakagriep on January 26, 2007 at 1:23 PM

what is that?

jummy on January 26, 2007 at 1:29 PM

Yes, you’re both dorks. But in a good way. ;)

Not a single word out of Bins mouth since June 06. Saudi’s say he died of Typhus. How fitting, if true, to have died of the same disease as Ann Frank.

As far as ABCs editing…..the same disease that is killing America…PC mixed with greed.

i will bet cash money that the info that Berger stole makes and Billy Jeff look even worse that this.

I didn’t think of doing that… Good work!

Hopefully Hannity can make some hay with this. Sandy Burgler needs some accountability for his role in 9/11 and the cover up.

One thing’s for sure. We’ll never know since Dub-Yuh’s Justice Dept cut Berger a sweetheart deal.

Labamigo on January 26, 2007 at 2:16 PM

Okay, the Democrats were able to find him. For that matter, they could have bombed him if they wanted. With what? A couple guys in the mountains and a plane overhead. The Republicans send the United States military, and they STILL couldn’t find him. I think that is playing heavy on Hannity’s conscience. The Republicans bungled Afghanistan. Then they bungled Iraq. Now Hannity wants to divert attention away from his party’s failures, and lay the blame with Clinton? Maybe Burger should have made the call, but at least we found him. The best you republicans have is Saddamm. Not much of an international terrorist, is he?
ps-I find it intersting that the new secretary of defense was the guy in charge when the CIA trained and armed Osama. Kinda like when Rumsfeld gave Saddamm his WMD. I have always said, “Conservatives are bad for America.”

Did they find that missing footage under a trailer?

Yes, shackles, you aggressive, warmongering libs – stop with the overkill. All you do is violate everyone’s civil liberties. If you all had been in charge in Afghanistan, it would now be a parking lot – thank God you all weren’t.

Also, I recall many of the lib lawmakers talking in very hawkish tones in the years leading up to the Iraq invasion. I remember that war veteran Kerry spewing on about how that Hussein guy had to be stopped. I also recall Hillary acting very Thatcheresque – it scared me. I knew that cooler heads needed to prevail. Hearing all those Dems talk, I was afraid the entire Middle East was about to meet its demise. Thank God the less aggressive Repubs were in the White House.

You are scaring me with all that Dem military mumbo jumbo – go to some other hardcore military website, like DU or Hufpo, to spew that kind of hate. Please.

Rick on January 26, 2007 at 5:13 PM

well the troll is there. it’s up to y’all to refute the twin lies that “we trained obl” and “we armed saddam”. nobody ever seems to confront trolls on these points.

Please enlighten us and identify the “Democrat who found Bin Laden”. Who did we send in, the Congressional Black Caucus Brigade or Kerry’s Swiftboat Commandos, 101st Land Battalion?

fogw on January 26, 2007 at 5:46 PM

No, there aren’t any “men” left in Washington. Anyone can tell that by the fact that last year we lost 826 military people fighting a war and the leaders in Washington and the MSM are going ape over the troop surge. What would have happened on DDAY in WWII with these same leaders? I suspect the white flag of surrender would have been raised.

God help us all with these elected wimps. To hell with them “Surge George Surge”.

Golfer_75093 on January 26, 2007 at 6:04 PM

shackler, this would have been the perfect time for your “leader” to have acted courageously, if he wouldn’t have been otherwise engaged at the time (clue – young, chubby woman and cigars). This could have prevented a 9/11/01 and much which followed.

To be objective, the conservative Congress would probably not have jumped with joy to sign on, but leaders with cojones (not otherwise engaged) act with or without high approval ratings or other prima donnas’ nudges.

But, heh, the economy was good, ‘stupid’.

Also, you can wait long before you’ll ever see/hear ObL again.

Entelechy on January 26, 2007 at 6:29 PM

The reason for the 9/11 commission was to put the blame on Pres. Bush for the attack. They tried to convince everyone that an obscure note that said Bin Laden wanted to attack America was all the President needed to stop the terrorists. Well, now that “truth” has been challenged and Clinton and his followers can’t stand it. They feel that they should be totally absolved from all responsibility. Well, they can’t be. There is too much evidence that the Clinton administration simply dropped the ball. Why can’t they admit that they didn’t do all they could instead of trying to cover up. People would respect that more than this game of passing the buck.

Shackler has to be joking, no one could be that perverted in their thinking. Good one Shackler you actually had some of them thinking you meant what you posted. You are one of the funniest posters here, you crack me up. And I laugh at the other posters who take you serious.

Soothsayer on January 27, 2007 at 12:22 AM

Republicans btw are just as full of crap as the liberals are. They engage in censorship while protesting violations of the first amendment all the time. Just post something that is harsh or profane ( protected speech btw) and see just how many light years it takes to read your post. You’re no better than the liberals, no better at all.

So Hannity has finally gone all the way over to “Fiction”. He’ll be happier there don’t ya think?

honora on January 27, 2007 at 10:42 AM

Loved the last clip. “I *did not* have sexual relations with that man! …”

[shackler]

The Republicans bungled Afghanistan. Then they bungled Iraq. Now Hannity wants to divert attention away from his party’s failures, and lay the blame with Clinton? Maybe Burger should have made the call, but at least we found him.

Don’t be modest. “You” found him, like, 4 or 5 times, did “you” not?

oakpack on January 26, 2007 at 3:15 PM

Absolutely right. What’s even more maddening than the scene, however, is realizing that not only did Berger drop the ball, he also stole and destroyed classified information that was probably pretty damning – and got away with doing so – yet no one gives a damn about it. That makes me madder than hell.

RD on January 27, 2007 at 12:06 PM

Not to mention that CNN and Al-Jezeera seem to have him on speed dial for interviews, etc..

Just how lost can he be?

The answer is probably as lost as our government wants him to be – after all, do many of the mass here even remember him?

Mission accomplished!
