Hanretty, hoping not to be bleeped, showed she has balls when she called Democrats “media whore[s]” for pretending to be nice to President Bush during the State of the Union but express their vitriol for him at any other time.

Colmes’s never has a strong, honest defense for anything. He just comes off to me as a naive hack who can’t adequately defend anyone without the oh-so-predictable talking points. Hanretty is exactly right about the Dems being media whores and most sensible people get that I think.

Look the Dems have compared me to Nazi stormtroopers, Genghis Khan, soviet gulags and modern day terrorists so I really don’t care if they have thin skin and can’t take a little name calling back. Calling them media whores won’t result in the enemies of this country taking one extra life as opposed what they say and do that endangers and cause the death and injury of many a fine service member by giving the enemy the motivation to continue their deadly attacks.

Hey, Good job Karen ,you called for what it is. At least Webb had the balls to be obnoxous to the Presidents face. The Dems get so adament in their denunciation of Dubya, the one thing they can’t attack is his character. They passed off the culture of corruption dogma during the election only by fleecing the same one or two isolated insidents over and over again in the MSM. It is ashame their were enough gullable voters to be swayed either into the Dem camp or to not vote out of protest. I think the Dubai ports deal and immigration were key policy issues that turned even the most loyal Republicans. In hind sight was the Dubai deal such a bad thing? Isn’t there still some mismanagment of the ports due to lack of a qualified corporation?

How’s this for a crazy theory: who says it’s not the outrage and the hatred that’s not the phony part?
Bear with me here. The truth is, that Bush Derangement Syndrome is a massive industry now. Thanks to the far left blogosphere and Hollywood loons, real-live hatred and socialist fascism are popular.
Hate is “in” right now. Want to be cool? Tell a joke at the President’s expense. It’s easy. If you’re a comedian on a major network … just bash Bush. It doesn’t have to be funny - I guarantee you get a good laugh.
As you can see from the liberals right here, free thinking is not their forte. They must be led (which, by the way, is why that very accusation is what they throw at us - it’s classic projection.) Liberals today are sheep - they are incapable of critical thought.
And giving them a boogy-man to hate is the easiest way to lead the Kool-Aid Krowd around by the nose.
To get elected as a Democrat, hating Bush is the ONLY guaranteed winner - and siding with the President (on ANYTHING) is a guaranteed loser. At least in a Democratic primary.
So … to be a Democrat today, you MUST show hatred for Bush. It’s exactly what Hillary is doing to get away from her early votes on the war - she’s trying to shore up her BDS credentials to override. Trust me: if you hate Bush often enough, loudly enough - even if you make no sense at all on the issues - you’ll be popular among the nutroots and the primary voters on the left.
Guaranteed.
But who says it’s real?
Here’s my theory: I think there might be a significant percentage of Democrats who simply use Bash-hating to further their own agenda. They don’t hate him at all - or at least not as much as they pretend publicly. They might even LIKE him. He is, after all, their trump card. Their easy way to get some applause.
I say it’s not the niceness that’s fake - for some of them - but the hate. The hate is just a tool to guide the sheep.
It certainly works on the foolish libs like those here.

Every time I start to get upset about how “they” are taking over the media…I look at what the weekend box office receipts are and get great satisfaction from the fact that Clooney’s, Redford’s, Pitt’s, Affleck’s, DiCaprio’s Damon’s etc. movies aren’t hits and they don’t make money. The Good German didn’t even make a million and the Departed was carried by DeNiro(sp)…to me this is because us “Conservative Americans” don’t go. We don’t accept or believe the MSM BS propaganda…money talks…
Now we need candidates with strength and conviction. To me that is not necessarily a Republican anymore…I’m seriously thinking about becoming an Independent because I don’t’ like what I’ve been seeing in Republicans lately…just don’t want to split the vote and end up with a Democrat…God help us…

Look, when you actually try to have a conversation with one of these nutjobs, you can’t help noticing there is something pathological there about their hatred for Bush. Logic and rational thought simply vaporize in front of you. Derangement? Mental illness? Maybe, but their hate is as real for them as the mind-control rays they wear their tinfoil hats for.

The democrats aren’t really media whores, they just need continual reminders of their own self-importance in this big scary world, like a small child does. They need the constant attention that the media and Hollywood provides to boost their self esteem, or lack thereof. This is apparent in the fact that the less attention you pay to them, the louder they scream. It’s an adult version of: Look at me daddy! Look at me!
